Marvel: Spider-Man Begins Spoilers

Chapter 13: Spider's Kiss

“Well, he’s just a high school student after all. He doesn’t have any guard at all and he fell for other people’s tricks so easily. It’s just that he lacks experience.” Egghead watched Parker faint and shook his head, unable to bear to watch.

Ben also felt that Parker should hone his guard. Spider-sense is not omnipotent. It will not cause danger or give warnings. Over-reliance on spider-sense makes Parker prone to tricks that he should not have fallen into.

At this time, countless people were worried about Spider-Man after seeing him being knocked unconscious and taken away by the Green Goblin, and they all began to cheer for Spider-Man.

[Parker heard the Green Goblin's voice in a daze. The Green Goblin thought Spider-Man was very similar to him. Parker disagreed and said, "You are a murderer."]

[The Green Goblin said: "Everyone has their own aspirations. You choose to be a superhero, but people will only be interested in you for three minutes. They just want to see the failure, fall and death of heroes. No matter what you do, they will hate you in the end. Why bother?"]

[“Because it’s right!” The Green Goblin patted Parker on the head and told him, “The only role of the eight million citizens of New York is to hold a few outstanding geniuses on their shoulders.”]

[Just like Parker said to him, and brazenly said that he could crush Spider-Man to death with one foot, but he gave Parker the opportunity to join him, to achieve great things with him, and to create a new future. ]

[Spider-Man was asked to choose whether to join him or fight him, causing countless casualties until one of them fell. Finally, the Green Goblin asked Parker to think about it carefully and left.]

[The next morning, the latest newspaper reported that Spider-Man and the Green Goblin were in cahoots with each other, and there were also news reports that citizens called on the authorities to eliminate pests. Parker read these news reports with mixed feelings. The Green Goblin's words kept echoing in his mind: "No matter what you do for them, they will hate you in the end."]

This scene once again aroused the anger of countless people, who began to spontaneously block the door of the Daily Bugle, demanding that the 1.5 generation Spider-Man come out and publicly apologize to Spider-Man, and strongly demanded that those reporters not disturb Peter Parker's life.

Fortunately, even when the disaster was imminent, the 1.5th generation of Tianmu did not reveal the news about Peter, which changed the views of a small number of people. Otherwise, he would have been beaten to death at his doorstep by the angry people.

[That day, Mary Jane walked out of a company, and Parker, who had been waiting for a long time, saw her and quickly caught up with her. ]

[Mary Jane was very surprised to see him. Parker asked, "How did the audition go?" Mary Jane asked in confusion, "How did you know?" "I'm well-informed. Your mother told Aunt May, and Aunt May told me."]

[Mary Jane asked him if he came to see her specially. Parker initially tried to cover it up by saying that he just happened to be passing by and wanted to see a kind face. Then, under Mary Jane's gaze, he still said that he took the bus and taxi to come all the way.]

[Parker then asked, "How was the audition?" Mary Jane was a little disappointed, "They asked me to take acting lessons. The soap opera asked me to take acting lessons..." She laughed at herself. ]

[Parker wants to treat Mary Jane to a burger, and the price is capped at $7.84. Mary Jane is happy that Peter wants to treat her to a burger, but she wants to have dinner with Harry. She also invites Peter to go with them. ]

[But Peter still declined the offer and asked, "What happened between you two? ... No, forget it, it's none of my business." But Mary Jane didn't think so: "Really? Then why do you care so much?" Parker denied it flatly: "I didn't!" "You didn't?" "Why should I care?" "I don't know! Why?"]

[Parker stammered, "I... I don't know," and repeated it twice. Mary Jane felt a little sorry that Parker didn't come with them, and then left.]

[Parker watched Mary Jane from a distance, but unexpectedly saw her being harassed by several men. His face immediately changed and he walked up to her. Mary Jane had a bad feeling and started running, but was eventually blocked by several men.]

[Several people surrounded her and started teasing her. One of them grabbed her shoulders and took off her clothes. Mary Jane panicked and fought back, but she was no match for the big men. Fortunately, Spider-Man used spider silk to pull the gangsters away in time and knocked them to the ground.]

[Due to the urgency of the situation, Parker didn't even have time to put on his hood. Fearing that his identity would be exposed, Parker hurried into the alley when he saw Mary Jane approaching. When Mary Jane looked back, she was gone.]

[Just as Mary Jane was looking around, Parker suddenly appeared upside down behind her, scaring her. Mary Jane said that she seemed to have a superhero bodyguard and praised Spider-Man for being so powerful. ]

[Parker laments that some people don't think so, and Mary Jane repeats "You're really great!" Parker feels great to have an admirer. Mary Jane wants to thank Spider-Man with a kiss, but Parker asks her to wait. Mary Jane knows what Spider-Man is worried about, so she just rolls up her lips and kisses him. ]

[After the two kissed passionately, Mary Jane helped him put on the hood, and Parker left with a thread, leaving only Mary Jane with an excited look on her face.]

Seeing this, Uncle Ben looked at Parker who had returned home, patted him on the shoulder and told him: "Peter, you may like this girl very much, but uncle wants to tell you that she may not be suitable for you. She likes Spider-Man."

Parker silently looked at Mary Jane on the sky, with a complex emotion in his heart. He wanted to encourage himself to pursue her bravely and tell her his true feelings for her. However, the doubts in his heart made him hesitate.

As a spectator for the first time, Parker was aware of Mary Jane's admiration for Spider-Man, and he was worried that it was just a momentary impulse rather than a real feeling.

He felt that Mary Jane was more suitable for his good friend Harry, who was mature and stable and could bring her a stable life.

Moreover, Parker also knows clearly that as Spider-Man, his life is full of danger and uncertainty.

He was unwilling to involve Mary Jane and did not want her to be hurt. In his heart, Mary Jane's happiness and safety were far more important than his own feelings.

Parker's eyes revealed helplessness and contradiction. He silently decided to bury this love deep in his heart and stay by Mary Jane's side as a friend.

He hopes that Mary Jane can find her true happiness, even if that happiness is not what he can give.

Uncle Ben knows that Parker learned a lot about the future because of the Sky Dome, and he has let go of his feelings for Mary Jane. He knows what kind of life Mary Jane wants. As a person who has experienced this, Uncle Ben knows that Parker wants to help her and Harry, so that he can let go of his burden and become Spider-Man.
