Marvel: Spider-Man Begins Spoilers

Chapter 26 Artificial Little Sun

[Parker was walking on a quiet road with his damaged scooter. There were Mary Jane posters everywhere on the roadside. He looked very lonely.]

[In Professor Connors' class, Connors was explaining the knowledge on the stage, Parker was listening absent-mindedly, holding a notebook in his hand, on which were written words such as "Batman fusion, excessive energy, explosion, etc."]

[After the class, Parker called Mary Jane from a pay phone, but no one answered. He could only leave a message: "Hi, Mary Jane, this is Peter. I went to your show last night. I rode a motorcycle..."]

[At this time, Mary Jane returned home. After hearing Parker's voice, she threw the keys on the table. The noise attracted Parker's attention, "Are you home? I really planned a whole day, but..."]

[“I know. You expected that I would disappoint you.” Mary Jane whispered back, “You guessed right.”]

[“It’s unbelievable, isn’t it? Isn’t it just to arrive on time at 8 o’clock? I made such a simple thing so complicated.”]

[Mary Jane came to the table and listened to Parker's explanation, "Actually, it's that annoying doorman. Someone needs to talk to him, MJ." Before Parker finished speaking, the time on the pay phone stopped.]

[Hearing this, Mary Jane sighed. Parker still didn't realize his mistake and blamed others for his mistakes. She turned around and left in disappointment.]

[On the other side, Parker wanted to tell Mary Jane the truth. He plucked up his courage and put the phone to his ear, "This is it, I am Spider-Man. Incredible, isn't it?"]

"Now you understand why I can't be with you. If my enemies knew about you and if you were hurt by it, I would never forgive myself. I really wish I could tell you how much I love you." Then he put the phone back to its place.

"On one side is Peter Parker, and on the other side is Spider-Man. It's really hard to balance!" An ordinary citizen lamented Parker's difficulties.

"Who says it's not? Peter Parker is busy enough, he has to work and go to school, and he doesn't even have a dollar on him. Then at night he has to turn into Spider-Man to punish evil and promote good. It's too difficult." Another lady nearby said in deep agreement.

[That afternoon, Otto's experiment was carried out as scheduled. People from all walks of life were invited to his laboratory. Otto and Rose were welcoming the guests.]

[Before starting the experiment, Otto told a joke to make everyone laugh, including Parker and Harry. Although he thought it was terrible, everyone was indeed amused.]

[Otto's expression became serious. "Today, you will witness with your own eyes the birth of a new energy technology based on nuclear fusion. A safe and sustainable energy source that provides cheap electricity for everyone."]

[Otto then introduced his assistants to everyone, who turned out to be four robotic arms. He took off his shirt and explained, "These four robotic arms are specially designed and manufactured to operate this nuclear fusion system! They are completely unaffected by heat and magnetic fields!"]

[He came to the stage and operated on the computer. The mechanical arms were fixed on his waist, and then fixed firmly on his body with his spine as the core.]

[The spikes pierced his spine, causing intense pain, but Otto gritted his teeth and persevered. The crowd watching was so frightened by this scene that they gasped, making a great contribution to the global greenhouse effect.]

[Four mechanical arms slowly stretched out under Otto's control, dancing gently behind him.]

"These smart arms are controlled by my brain, with commands transmitted through the spinal nerves. Tiny wires are inserted directly into my cerebellum, allowing me to use the robotic arms to perform all kinds of operations in environments that humans cannot withstand."

[At this time, a lady raised a question: "Doctor, if these robotic arms are really as smart as you say, will you be controlled by them?"]

[Otto looked at her with appreciation, "That's a good question! So I designed this inhibitor chip to protect the functions of my brain. This way, I am the one controlling them, not them controlling me!" Otto turned around and pointed to the inhibitor chip on his neck. ]

Tony noticed something was wrong immediately. "Watt? Just this one chip? What if something goes wrong with it? This protective measure is too crude!"

As one of the world's top scientists, he was well aware that relying solely on such a chip was not safe at all. Once there was a problem with the chip, Dr. Otto would become a slave to the machine.

"Moreover, the material of his chip is too low-end. It can't withstand the huge pressure at all and will easily go wrong." Tony looked at the crystal material deduced by Jarvis and was very annoyed by the doctor's recklessness.

If it were him, he would definitely not rely on just a simple chip. Even if he only relied on the chip, he would definitely add high-strength protection on the outside of the chip. Unlike Otto, he directly exposed the entire chip. He really is not afraid of anything happening!

[Otto controlled the robotic arms and turned his head to aim at the equipment he was going to use next. He walked over and the four robotic arms began to operate.]

[He operated the computer twice and opened the test tube containing tritium. The test tube stretched out from the machine, and the mechanical arm took away the tritium stored in it.]

[“The system must use this rare tritium element to operate. There are only 25 pounds of it on Earth! Thank you very much Harry Osborn and Oss Corporation for providing us with this precious resource!”]

【Harry laughs behind him and says he'd be happy to pay for it.】

[As the mechanical arm released the tritium element, it stopped in midair and began to spin and accelerate. Rose brought him goggles and looked at him with a smile on her face.]

[Otto put on his goggles, "Ladies and gentlemen! Please fasten your seat belts!" He then activated the device, and saw eight beams of light shooting out from four different positions, from top to bottom.]

[The tritium element began to release energy, a strong light began to appear, and a sun-like energy ball appeared in the middle of the device. The assistant announced that the nuclear fusion was successfully completed. ]

[Everyone applauded after hearing this. Harry also thought that he had finally fulfilled a dream that even his father could not believe. At this time, nuclear fusion was generating one gigawatt (100 million kilowatts) of energy per second. ]

"That's pretty impressive, Dr. Otto. You actually created an Ark reactor. It just doesn't seem stable enough. However, the energy output is really huge, much stronger than my previous reactor. But can you control it?"

Tony became serious when he saw that Dr. Otto had successfully made an artificial sun. Although it was thermonuclear fusion, it was indeed an Ark reactor. Its energy output was better than the large reactor of Stark Industries and the micro reactor on his body. However, its only drawback was that it was not stable enough.
