Marvel: Spider-Man Begins Spoilers

Chapter 33: Becoming Peter Parker Again

[The scene changes, Doctor Octopus begins preparing for his second experiment in an abandoned house. He successfully buys the necessary equipment using the money he robbed from the bank. While working, he takes a cigar and lets the tentacles light it for him.]

【On the other side, Parker thought he had a physical problem and went to the hospital for a checkup, but the doctor thought that everything was fine. "In my opinion, your problem lies here." The doctor pointed to his head. 】

[Parker was thinking something in his mind, "You said you had insomnia, grief-stricken, and nightmares."]

[Parker looked at the doctor and said, "I had a dream. In the dream... I was Spider-Man. I lost my ability and kept falling down when I climbed the wall." The doctor understood immediately and said, "So you are Spider-Man!"]

[Parker immediately explained: "In my dream!" It was obvious that the doctor did not believe a word of his explanation. He added: "Actually, this was not my dream, but the dream of a friend of mine."]

[The doctor smiled and took off his glasses, "Hmm... other people's dreams..." He walked to the operating table and sat side by side with Parker, "What is your friend like? Why did he climb the wall? How does he see himself?"]

[“That’s the problem. He can’t figure it out.”]

[The doctor shook his head after hearing this. "If you can't recognize yourself, you will go crazy and lose your soul! The worst thing is to lose yourself." The doctor looked at Parker with an inexplicable expression.]

[“Listen, maybe you are not destined to be Spider-Man who can fly over walls, so you always fall down. You can choose it yourself, Peter!” Parker nodded thoughtfully. ]

[He said to himself: "I can choose..." The doctor nodded gently beside him. ]

"Ah, that doctor must have known Peter's identity. He realized what Peter Parker's problem was, so he advised Peter to choose his own path."

Several people gathered in front of the bar in Tony's house. Tony clinked his glasses with Rod and said.

"Anyone who is not a fool knows that his friend is himself. Making friends out of nothing is a skill that everyone can master." Rhodes complained about Parker's poor cover-up.

Tony burst into laughter when he heard this.

[Parker returned home, lying on the bed, thinking about the doctor's words as the storm and thunder roared outside the window.]

[Uncle Ben's words echoed in his heart, and he seemed to dream that Uncle Ben was talking to him again. "Your thoughts, Peter, make me sad."]

[“Don’t you understand? I’m in love with Mary Jane.”]

[“Peter, we have always talked about integrity, fairness, and justice. I have always hoped that you can bravely bring these dreams to the world.”]

[In the dream, Parker looked at Uncle Ben and said, "I can't live in your dream anymore. I want my own life."]

[“God has given you extraordinary talents, Peter. With great power comes great responsibility. Hold my hand, kid!” Ben hoped that Parker would agree to his request, but Parker refused with tears in his eyes.]

[“I’m just Peter Parker. I’m no longer... Spider-Man. No longer...” Returning to reality, Parker muttered to himself: “No longer...”]

[On a rainy night with thunder and lightning, Parker came to a familiar alley, looked at the Spider suit in his hand, hesitated for a while, then resolutely threw it into the trash can and turned away. ]

"Alas... he finally chose this path. What about you, Tony?" Rhodes drank another glass of wine and looked at Tony with a little drunkenness.

"Me? I am Iron Man!" Tony was obviously drunk as well. He replied drunkenly, then passed out at the bar. Nick Fury left without knowing when.

[Parker, who had put aside his identity as Spider-Man, was obviously more relaxed and even walked with a smile on his face, but the sudden fall made him feel a little embarrassed.]

Tony, who had been drunk all night, was woken up by Jarvis, and the sky screen started playing again. Seeing Parker's failed attempt to be cool, Tony, who was still gargling, almost burst out laughing.

[Parker, who almost fell, took out his glasses and put them on. This time he didn't have to worry about falling. He walked on the road in high spirits.]

[The scene changes to Parker in the rental house, repairing a motorcycle. He tightened the screws with a wrench, but forgot to fix it. He turned it casually, and the wheel rolled off the car, then flew off the balcony and hit the glass below.]

[“Idiot!!!” The boss below started to curse, and Parker half-knelt down to apologize to him. ]

"Hahaha! You're so clumsy, brother!"

Harry laughed and hugged Parker's neck. With the salary from the police, Parker's life is much better now. He doesn't have to go out to work anymore. However, he probably won't be able to be with Harry when school starts.

[Parker bought a hot dog from a roadside stand. As soon as he walked to the side of the road, he saw several police cars whizzing by and several policemen running. Parker turned his head to look in the direction of the pursuit. Thinking that he was no longer Spider-Man, he took a big bite of the hot dog and turned around. ]

[Parker was able to attend Connors's classes on time, listened carefully and took notes, and when Connors asked questions, he raised his hand to answer them.]

[After class, Connors told Parker that he was very satisfied with his performance today and encouraged him to keep up the good work. Parker smiled after being encouraged, and it was obvious that he was happy from the bottom of his heart.]

[At night, in the musical theater, Parker arrived at Mary Jane's stage play for the first time as scheduled. Mary Jane was speaking her lines on the stage when she suddenly saw Parker sitting in her seat. She was stunned for a moment and even forgot her lines for a moment.]

[The director backstage tried desperately to remind her in a low voice, "I'm very happy!" Mary Jane finally came to her senses and took over the actor's lines. The director backstage finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw this.]

[And as it happens, the actor's lines are exactly what Parker wanted to say.]

[After the performance, Parker and Mary Jane walked side by side. Parker looked at Mary Jane and said, "You performed very well! This scene was also very good."]

[“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” Mary Jane looked at Parker in confusion. Parker explained, “I was afraid you would tell me not to come.” Mary Jane turned her head away embarrassedly.]

[Then he turned around and looked at Peter Parker carefully, and was very surprised by Parker's transformation, "You seem to have changed a lot."]

[Parker looked down at himself and said with a smile: "I have polished my shoes, ironed my pants, and done my homework. I am starting to study hard now." Mary Jane was very happy with Parker's transformation, but it was too late. ]
