Chapter 3 The Blind Lawyer

There is a relatively famous law firm in Hell's Kitchen.

The name of the law firm is Matthew & Fergie Law Firm.

Surprisingly, Matthew is just a blind man. What's even more unexpected is that this blind man is Daredevil.

These two lawyers specialize in litigating cases for the working people. So Matthew and Fergie are quite famous in Hell's Kitchen. Many locals and even people from outside New York come here because of its reputation.

Early this morning, Matthew and Fergie came to the law office early and began to prepare for a busy day.

"Coffee for both of you" Karen gave Matthew and Fergie each a cup of coffee.

Karen is the female secretary and assistant hired by Matthew. Because of Matthew and Fergie's reputation, more and more clients come to them for lawsuits.

It is obvious that the two of them alone cannot handle so many customers.

And Karen is cheerful, generous and lovely. Compared to the two big men, Matthew and Fergie, he seems to be more suitable for reception work.

"I won't drink it." Fergie refused the hot coffee because he wanted to lose weight.

Fergie looks quite happy in appearance, and he is indeed a little chubby.

"Whether you drink coffee or not has nothing to do with whether you lose weight, right?" Matthew tried to remember, but he really couldn't remember where there was a theory that drinking coffee would make you gain weight.

Fergie glanced at Matthew's near-perfect figure with resentment, "Don't worry about it, I just want to lose weight."

Matthew didn't bother to argue with Fergie and turned to Karen and asked: "Karen, what are the plans for today?"

Although Matthew is blind, Matthew's other four senses have been greatly improved after becoming blind.

Now Matthew is like a bat, using sounds and hearing beyond ordinary people to see the world.

In fact, from a certain perspective, Matthew is no longer blind. His perception ability is even far beyond that of ordinary people.

When Karen first came to the law firm, she thought Matthew was pretending to be blind. Because Karen saw Matthew doing housework like a normal person more than once.

Only after getting along for a long time did Karen really realize that Matthew was indeed blind.

Karen was no longer surprised by Matthew's behavior of "looking" at her, "It's quite strange today. There is only one client who made an appointment. She is the old Mrs. Megan who was robbed before."

"By the way, this time I found the photos of the Jiuge Gang and asked the old lady to come and identify them." Foji said.

To be honest, Fergie is not as good as Matthew when it comes to litigating. Fortunately, Fergie is very good at gathering intelligence.

The Jiuge Gang is a small gang among small gangs in Hell's Kitchen, New York.

And Fergie can find photos of such a small gang, and his intelligence gathering skills are indeed quite impressive.

Matthew took a sip of coffee and said, "Is she the sixty-year-old lady who was robbed two days ago?

Mudd, today's gangs are really getting more and more despicable, and they don't even let old ladies off. "

At this time, a well-dressed white-haired old lady appeared at the door of the law firm.

"Ms. Megan" Karen skillfully pulled out the chair and helped the old lady sit on the chair.

After the old lady sat down, Karen quickly ran to the coffee pot to pour coffee for Megan.

Fergie noticed that old Mrs. Megan still had some bruises on her face, which were naturally left by the previous robbers.

Although Matthew couldn't see it, he also noticed that when Meghan was sitting in the chair, her back involuntarily moved away from the backrest.

Obviously, the injury on Mrs. Megan’s back has not healed yet.

"Hello, Ms. Megan, I believe you already know the reason why we invited you here."

If Matthew had known that Megan's injury was not healed yet, he would have gone directly to Megan's house with the photos, why bother letting an old man rush back and forth.

Megan is older and was stimulated by the last robbery, so she speaks a little awkwardly.

"Karen called yesterday and said you found some photos and asked me to identify them."

Fergie quickly pulled out a file bag from the filing cabinet at the back and placed the photos inside in front of Meghan.

"It's him and he's the guy who attacked me before."

Megan quickly recognized her attacker.

Foggy picked up the photo and found the information of the person in the photo.

"Bobby, from Arkansas. He joined the Nine Songs Gang recently. He used to work at Tom Logistics Company and his driving skills are top-notch." Foggy read the information to Matthew.

Old Mrs. Megan was a little confused, "This young man didn't do a good job, but went to join some gang. What on earth is going on in this world?"

Matthew looked down on people like Bobby very much. The reason for joining a gang is not to make quick money. In order to get money quickly, he even robbed an old lady in her seventies or eighties.

"Thank you very much, Ms. Megan." Fergie said as he put away the photos.

"The next thing is how much compensation to ask for from Bobby." When Matthew spoke, he squeezed the cane in his hand tightly, as if the cane was Bobby.

Matthew knew that even if Meghan won the lawsuit, she would not receive compensation.

Bobby was so poor that he went to rob the old lady, so he naturally didn't have much money on him.

"You two young men can make up your mind about compensation or something. I don't understand this either," Megan said.

Matthew, Fergie and Megan discussed for a while before coming up with a compensation plan.

Meghan is quite satisfied with this compensation plan, provided that she can get the money.

After discussing the specific details, it was almost noon. Matthew asked Karen to take Mrs. Megan home in person.

"Foggy, I'll leave this to you. I'm going out for a trip." Matthew said as he picked up his cane, put on his sunglasses, and got ready to go out.

"Do me a favor and don't beat someone half to death this time, okay? This old lady Megan's compensation will have to wait for Bobby to earn it later."

Foggy knows his Daredevil partner quite well. He must have gone out this time to catch Bobby.

"Why do such scum still exist? It's because I don't kill anyone. Otherwise," Matthew seemed a little excited, and the hand holding the cane was trembling.

"Let's leave killings to the Punisher." Foggy was actually worried that his partner Daredevil would move closer to the Punisher.

The main reason is that Matthew has become more and more extreme in his actions recently, and Foggy is afraid that if Daredevil fails to control himself one day, he will be in trouble if he kills someone.

"You have to have confidence in me. I will be very measured in my actions. After all, I am still a master, and I have been training for such a long time."

After Matthew finished speaking, he left the law firm directly.

"You will be measured in your actions." Fergie crossed himself on his chest and began to pray to God, "May God bless that poor guy named Bobby."
