Monsters Will Die if They Are Killed
Summary at the end of Volume 8
Last month, my daily average was basically W, even though I took three days off...
There are many plot elements in this volume of The Sky Tilt to the Northwest, just from Qingqiu Star alone.
Whether it is the earth, gods, ice foxes, sky foxes from other worlds, thinking virus demons, great beings, etc., I have designed many settings, so at the beginning of this volume, it is about space navigation, interstellar survivors, and It is a remnant of the age of immortals such as the Sky Fox and ancient myths, etc. I feel very fulfilled.
However, after writing, I also discovered that because there were too many points to write, if the rhythm wanted to be tight, many elements could not be written in depth, especially the shaping and emotional brewing of Qingqiu Tianhu. It's too rushed, too dry and empty.
I should expand and write more about the plot that shows such elements, such as the living conditions in Qingqiu Refuge and some small plots related to Qingqiu people. Mainly because I am afraid of being criticized, so I wrote it roughly. There are a few clips that I think are very important. Now that I think about it, each clip can actually be expanded to tell a few short stories. While relaxing the mood, it can also provide more guidance and foreshadowing.
As I write now, I also realize that we cannot blindly pursue ‘achieving goals’.
Anyone who is familiar with me knows that for each copy and world, I have written at least a few thousand or even tens of thousands of words about the setting, such as the character’s past background and the specific setting of the world, the influence of the great being behind it and the past of the world. , the reasons for the current situation are written in detail and clearly.
In addition, each volume has a detailed outline, so the coding process is smooth, but the thinking is limited.
How to say? Even if this element is written in the outline, then only this element will be written, but the derivative plot of the element will not be expanded. It is even possible that the content will be written dryly, which is not interesting enough.
Writing a novel is not about coding. The process of achieving your goal should be as interesting as possible. This is the lesson I learned.
And the most important thing is to ask for leave when you need to. If you continue to write when you have a headache, you will only end up writing a piece of garbage.
Of course, I don't mean to take leave now - I will update the first update of the new volume today, but I may slow down the updates recently to reorganize the general structure of the book.
For the sake of the 1w2 free extra episode updated yesterday, please forgive me.
That's roughly the situation, today's update will be a little later.
All in all, thank you everyone for reading, the story in the next volume will be even more exciting - please give me a vote~
(Recently, I saw a reader saying that after half a year of raising my book, it only has 400 chapters - but this book already has 2 million words! When converted into 2,000 words, one chapter is a thousand chapters!)
