As for Tuan Tuan’s present, Lin Nuan already had an idea and was simply waiting for Fu Huai’an to have free time.

Feeling her phone vibrate, Lin Nuan took it out of her bag to see Fu Huai’an’s name on the screen.

She rolled up the backseat window of the cab and answered the phone, saying, “Huai’an…”

After hanging up, Lin Nuan’s ears were incredibly hot. She tugged at them and rolled down the window to let cool air rush into the car; only then did her ears finally feel some relief.

By the time Lin Nuan arrived at home, Auntie Li had already received Fu Huai’an’s call and knew that the couple was taking a trip to Jincheng and that Tuan Tuan would be in her care for a few days.

Lin Nuan dug out her suitcase and packed her and Fu Huai’an’s belongings.

Lin Nuan had almost never had an opportunity to go on business trips when she was with the station, so she wasn’t really good at picking what to bring along for one.

After a momentary hesitation, she took a photo of the suitcase’s contents and sent it to Fu Huai’an, asking him if there was anything else she needed to pack.

Wasn’t he bringing her to see a very important friend, so why were they bringing condoms!

Lin Nuan closed the suitcase, but before she could place it at the end of the bed, she heard Fu Huai’an’s deep voice from behind her, saying, “You haven’t even put the condoms in, why are you rushing to close the suitcase?”

She turned her head to see Fu Huai’an walk in—in his soft slippers. He unbuttoned his suit and tugged at the tie around his collar. He had a smile on his face as he walked towards her.

“Why did you come back so early?” asked Lin Nuan in surprise.

“If I didn’t come back to take a look, you wouldn’t have packed what should be packed!” said Fu Huai’an as he took off his jacket and tie, throwing them on the bed. He then bent down to open the suitcase Lin Nuan had placed on the bed.

After a brief check, Fu Huai’an took out a few unnecessary items before turning around to look at Lin Nuan and saying, “The condoms are in the drawer in the study, go and get them…”

Lin Nuan grew embarrassed before finally realizing that Fu Huai’an was doing it on purpose to see her blush. Even more heat rushed to her face, and she said, “What are we bringing that for! We can buy it anywhere!”
