Ethan stopped and looked at her steadily.

Siobhan's face turned red under Ethan's fiery gaze, and she closed her eyes, then opened them again in embarrassment, and their eyes collided.

Ethan could even feel the beating of her heart. He stopped pretending to be a gentleman and lowered his head to kiss her.

Siobhan immediately responded enthusiastically, and just when Ethan was about to take the next step, there was a loud knock on the door.

The two people's movements suddenly stopped, Siobhan quickly let go of his hand, and Ethan also sat up.

"Do you have any guests?"

"You have a date?"

The two said in unison, and then both shook their heads.

Siobhan had no choice but to straighten his clothes and went to open the door with a look of displeasure.

Ethan picked up the wine glass and took a sip of wine to suppress his anger.

After a while, there was a small argument outside the door.

Ethan felt something was wrong, so he quickly stood up, pulled out the Glock on the cabinet next to him and walked out.

Outside the house, Siobhan and a man with medium-long hair stood under a big tree, and the two were talking excitedly.

They seemed to be acquaintances, so he had no choice but to insert the Glock into his waist, then walked over and separated the two people.

"Calm down, sir, what's the matter?"

"Fuck, where did this Dick come from?"

When the long-haired man saw Ethan coming out of Siobhan's house, he felt uncomfortable with his appearance.

His face darkened, and he stretched out his hand to push towards Ethan.

Being scolded for no reason, Ethan's face turned cold.

Just when he was worried that he had no place to vent his anger, Ethan quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled it back hard, followed by a wave of his feet. The long-haired man immediately flew to the side and fell to the ground.

"Ethan, stop."

Siobhan quickly stopped him and prevented him from continuing.

Ethan saw that he was an acquaintance of Siobhan, so he couldn't take action anymore and stopped.

"Little squirrel, have you seen it?"

"He hit me. Now that you are the town policeman, aren't you going to do something?"

The long-haired man spit out the dirt and grass stalks in his mouth angrily, stood up, and shouted at Siobhan.

"It seems like you attacked the police first, right?"

Ethan lifted the corner of his clothes, revealing the gun stuck on his waist, and gave him a stern smile.

The long-haired man immediately shut his mouth and looked at him angrily.

"Ethan, can you go in first and let the two of us talk?"

Siobhan took his hand and said with a serious face.

"Are you sure you can do it alone?"

Siobhan said nothing and nodded silently.

Ethan had no choice but to give up, glanced at the long-haired man, and then walked towards the house.

The long-haired man was frightened by Ethan's cold eyes, as if he was looking at a dead person. He couldn't help but take a step back, and then felt that he couldn't be so cowardly and clenched his fists.

It wasn't until Ethan walked away that he breathed a sigh of relief.

However, Ethan did not enter the house, but stood on the porch. After lighting up the cigarette, he put his hand on the handle of the gun and stared at the long-haired man.

The long-haired man suddenly felt like a light on his back. After a few words with Siobhan, he hurriedly left.

After Siobhan stood there for a while, he turned around and walked over, took the cigarette out of Ethan's mouth and took a long drag.

"That's my ex-husband, Brice Conner."

While Siobhan was talking, he couldn't help but stretched out his hand to rub his shoulders.

"What does he want from you?"

Ethan knew that she was divorced, but he forgot why she was divorced.

"He wanted me to lift the restraining order, otherwise he wouldn't be able to find a job."

Siobhan finished his sentence and walked towards the house.

"Did he attack you?"

Ethan hurriedly followed and immediately understood what caused the divorce. The two of them had no children. Most of the cases where the woman applied for a restraining order in court were due to domestic violence.

Now he felt that his attack had been too light and he could use a little more intensity.

Siobhan nodded, covering his shoulders and sitting on the sofa.

Noticing her movements, Ethan reached out to grab her collar. Siobhan wanted to dodge, but when she saw Ethan's determined eyes, she had to stop.

Ethan clasped the collar with his fingers and pulled, exposing her shoulders.

There is a huge scar on the shoulder strap.

"What did he do to you?" Ethan's eyes narrowed.

"This is done with an iron."

Siobhan pulled his clothes to cover the scar and smiled casually.

"This is all over, and he has paid the price. Life in prison has made him grow a lot, and his temper has improved."

"You call me good-tempered when you push me." Ethan also sat down on the sofa and picked up the wine glass.

"He used to beat me up and send him to the hospital just because I said a few words to another man in a bar. What do you think? It was all alcohol that killed him."

Ethan noticed Siobhan's gaze and didn't care at all, slowly drinking up the red wine in the glass.

"He can do this kind of thing because he is the kind of person he is. Don't blame alcohol."

Putting the cup back on the table, he continued:

"What are you going to do now?"

Siobhan shook his head and said, "I will lift the restraining order."

"Breese's cousin offered him a job, but only if he didn't have a restraining order against him."

"I am no longer the Siobhan before, and he may have made changes. No matter what, I don't want to be an obstacle to him finding a job."

"This is entirely your personal decision." Ethan shrugged.

"Sorry, I'm not in the mood now." Siobhan leaned against him.

"It doesn't matter." After some tossing, Ethan lost interest. He hugged Siobhan, and the two of them watched the battle of survivors on TV.

After a while, Siobhan muttered under his breath, "Ozzy is not a champion."

There was a crisp "pop" sound, and Ethan's slap fell heavily.

The next day, Siobhan did not show up for work at the police station.

Ethan knew that she had gone to deal with matters with her ex-husband, but he didn't care.

During this period, Hood also gave him a secure mobile phone, saying that it was given to him by Jabber. If there was any emergency, he could use this mobile phone to contact him without worrying about the security of the call.

Ethan felt happy, this guy Jia Bo seemed to have a deep resentment about what happened last time.

In the afternoon, I received a message from Siobhan. Siobhan told Ethan that the matter had been dealt with, and told him in a very vague way that there was still a bottle of red wine that he had brought over last night.

Ethan smiled and replied to her message, saying that one bottle was not enough and he would bring more.

After get off work, Ethan did not go home, but went directly to the supermarket to buy some drinks and snacks, and then came to Siobhan's residence.

After carrying the bag from the passenger, he suddenly felt something was wrong and quickly raised his head and looked forward.

The windows of Siobhan's house were dark, without any light, and the front door was ajar.

Ethan opened the car door anxiously and ran to the front door.

When he came to the door, he took out his Glock and gently pushed the door open with the muzzle of the gun.
