Mystery: Chaos Path

#153 - Fate Trojan

This idea of Rowland's wasn't groundless, but a conjecture based on the name "Avatar" and the core abilities of the sequence.

"So, when I construct Lucifer, will the Avatar potion be completely digested directly?" Rowland pondered, stroking his chin, "But this is really a bit difficult."

To transform a fictional persona into a real avatar, it's not enough to just let others know the name of the persona. At the very least, they must know the approximate appearance of the persona and have some understanding of its personality or deeds, so that when they think of the persona, they can automatically construct a corresponding image in their minds and genuinely believe in its existence on this basis. Only then can the minimum standard for helping the persona transform from fiction to reality be achieved.

At the same time, the more people who know about the persona, if they believe that the persona truly exists, the greater the assistance effect will be, just like the difference between a casual believer and a fanatic.

The main reason why "Jack Jones" was able to transform directly from illusion to reality was that Rowland had been using this persona, and he had also been a teacher in Tingen for two months, accumulating enough "casual believers," and there were Klein and Azik, who understood the persona and deeply believed in its real existence, as "fanatics." Moreover, the setting itself wasn't powerful, so it was able to directly meet the conversion standard.

In comparison, although "Lucifer" is known by many people in the church because of several appearances, most of these people haven't reached the minimum standard to provide assistance, and the setting itself is relatively powerful, so the conversion is naturally far away.

"Of course, there is also a point that the setting of Lucifer is not as clear as Jack's. For example, in the sequence, Jack's setting is simply Sequence 8 of the Seer pathway, while Lucifer, although I set him as a high sequence of the Thief pathway, I haven't completely determined the sequence..." Rowland thought, tapping the table lightly with his finger, then raised the corner of his mouth and said:

"So I have two choices now. The first is to define Lucifer as Sequence 4 for the sake of quickly digesting the [Avatar] potion. In this way, the conversion speed will be much faster, but even if I successfully digest the potion, I can only have one more Sequence 4 avatar."

"The second is to set Lucifer as the Sequence 2 Fate Steed..." Rowland thought, his smile becoming brighter and brighter. Without a doubt, Rowland had already made a decision.

The abilities of Sequence 5 Playwright were certainly intriguing, but an angel-level avatar was obviously more tempting.

Moreover, Lucifer's foundation was so well laid, it would be a pity to only make him a Sequence 4.

Rowland's ears then twitched, as if he heard something. Then, he seemingly slowly but actually quickly raised his hand and wiped his face. The Thousand Faces Mask immediately took effect, and Lucifer reappeared in this world, even thoughtfully changing his clothes.

Rowland tilted his head, looking at the "Jack Jones" opposite him with a smile.

"Jack Jones" blinked, then reached out and tugged at "Lucifer's" sleeve, and said, "Teacher, what sequence are you exactly?"

"I remember I should have told you, Little Jack, can't your head remember anything serious besides gossip?" Rowland raised his hand and rubbed "Jack Jones's" head, met his green eyes, and showed a helpless smile, like a parent who was helpless with their child.

He sighed and then said, "Then I'll tell you again, I'm Sequence 2 Fate Steed, got it?"

"Oh..." "Jack Jones" blinked again, and suddenly said, "So you're only Sequence 2, old man, can I apply for a teacher with a higher sequence? I think the neighboring Fate Angel Uriel is still charming... Ouch, it hurts!"

"Jack Jones" hugged his head and howled.

It turned out that Rowland didn't seem to be polite even to himself, and directly raised his hand and gave "Jack Jones" a chestnut.

Just then, the door of the study was knocked, and Klein's voice sounded outside the door.

"Jack, are you okay? I seem to have heard something..."

Rowland wasn't surprised by this. He exchanged a glance with himself under the guise of "Jack Jones." It had to be said that this was a rather wonderful feeling. His will wasn't really divided into two. Now it was more like controlling two game accounts at the same time. Everything just now was just him directing and acting.

For normal people, it would undoubtedly be difficult to control two accounts so freely, but for Rowland, it was exceptionally skilled. Multi-tasking seemed to be as natural to him as instinct, and he wouldn't be flustered at all.

However, considering his true identity as a little Nyarlathotep, this wasn't surprising.

"Aren't you going to open the door?" Rowland raised his hand and pushed the glasses on his face, looked at "Jack Jones," and said with a smile, "Although I have some opinions about him, it's not to the point of targeting him as soon as we meet, otherwise you wouldn't have seen him long ago."

"Who knows what you're up to? Don't I know your bad taste, old man?" "Jack Jones" muttered, but still quickly ran to the door and opened the door of the study.

Klein outside the study had obviously heard something. When the door opened, his movements were still a little stiff. His eyes fell on "Lucifer" in the study, and then he squeezed out a smile and said, "Mr. Lucifer, why are you here?"

Originally, Klein wouldn't have been like this, mainly because he had just heard "Lucifer" once again express opinions about him, and he was a little sweaty.

"Can't I come to see my student?" Rowland looked at him and asked with a smile.

"Of course not." Klein quickly shook his head and said, "It's just that you said it wasn't convenient to see Jack before..."

"The past is the past, and the present is the present. There were indeed some small troubles before, but now they have been resolved." Rowland replied with incomparable calmness. He looked at Klein and paused, adding, "Of course, it's also mainly to stop my stupid student from courting death."

courting death?

Only then did Klein notice that there was a pile of broken glass on the floor of the study, which looked like a beaker had been broken, and there were many spiritual materials scattered on the table, as well as opened bottles containing blood.

What did Jack do?

Klein almost subconsciously looked at "Jack Jones," who rarely showed a guilty expression, turned his face away, and whistled, just not looking at him.

Klein immediately had a bad feeling.

Rowland then said with a smile, "He just used Fate Angel Uriel's blood to prepare a Three-No Potion, and even boldly took it, almost killing himself."
