Mystery: Chaos Path

#168 - Only believe in you

Colin Iliad raised his head in disbelief, forgetting Lucifer's instructions in that moment, staring at the huge fireball in the sky with shock and confusion.

Some records he had seen in ancient books flashed through Colin Iliad's mind at that moment. It was the sun of the past, a sun Colin Iliad had never seen since birth.

And at that moment, the content of the ancient books overlapped with the sun in front of him. Colin Iliad suddenly felt a stinging in his eyes, not knowing if it was because he was staring directly at the sun or because of the emotions that had been suppressed in his heart for countless years.

He felt a little like crying, but knew he shouldn't.

Colin Iliad didn't know how long he had been looking at the sun. Anyway, when he lowered his head, his vision was blurred.

He heard the angel's casual voice beside him: "Are you satisfied with what you see? Colin Iliad."

At that moment, Colin Iliad knelt on one knee, a gesture of a believer offering loyalty to their faith. He lowered his head and said in a low and solemn voice: "Silver City will offer its faith to you, to Mr. Fool. We will become your Highness's loyal believers."

Even among the believers of the same god, the angels under the god's seat would be different. Just like the believers of the Ancient Sun God in the past, many of them believed in one of the eight Angel Kings.

Colin Iliad's action was naturally a statement that they would believe in The Fool and become believers of Lucifer, even if they met other angels of Mr. Fool in the future, their faith would not waver.

"Very good!"

Colin Iliad heard the angel's slightly smiling voice, and then he was pulled up by a force from a distance. The angel asked casually:

"Have you thought about which people will be the first to go to the outside world with me? It doesn't matter if you haven't thought about it. I will stay here for a while, and you can take your time to decide."

Colin Iliad immediately took out a roll of parchment from his arms, respectfully handed it to Lucifer, and said: "This is the confirmed list, please take a look."

Lucifer took the list and glanced at it. Most of the names were naturally unfamiliar to him, but there were also familiar names, such as Little Sun Derrick, and Colin Iliad himself.

Lucifer was not surprised by this. Going to the outside world was a big deal. With Colin Iliad's sense of responsibility, it was normal to choose to lead the team himself.

"I will arrange for people to help you adapt to life in the outside world, but remember that my Lord advocates equivalent exchange. Every gift you receive will be marked with the corresponding price."

Lucifer said with a smile. He wasn't trying to scare Colin Iliad, but mainly afraid that Silver City wouldn't understand and really treat him and The Fool as wishing machines.

In the end, Lucifer didn't have that much patience to be a nanny. Helping Silver City escape the Land of the Forsaken was the limit he could accept. In other aspects, Lucifer could only say—everyone is not a child anymore and should understand the principle of self-reliance.

Colin Iliad's expression suddenly became solemn, and he immediately lowered his head and said: "Yes, we understand."

Lucifer glanced again at the Silver City, which was rarely a little noisy at the moment, and then smiled and said: "Go and appease the citizens of Silver City. I still have things to do. See you later."

"Yes!" Colin Iliad naturally couldn't stop Lucifer from leaving, so he could only respond.

When he raised his head again, the black-haired angel had disappeared, and only the sun still hanging in the sky indicated that all this was not Colin Iliad's illusion, but a real occurrence.

Silver City had truly ushered in the light!

Colin Iliad couldn't help clenching his fists. He calmed his re-excited mood before looking at the shadows beside him and said, "Go and call Derrick over. Also, summon the other elders…"

… …

While the Chief of Silver City was arranging various matters in an orderly manner, Lucifer appeared beside the Ancient Sun God, who was quietly looking in the direction of Silver City in a daze.

"They are very happy," Lucifer said. "Don't you want to take a closer look? I'm not that stingy, as long as you don't reveal your identity."

"No need. Since I have decided to let go, I shouldn't have too much contact," the Ancient Sun God shook his head. He looked at Lucifer and said:

"This sun can last for half a year. During this period, there will be sunrises and sunsets like a normal sun. If the people of Silver City have not left after half a year, I will take action again."

Lucifer nodded and also looked up at the sun in the sky. This sun created by the Sun God looked no different from a normal sun, but considering that the world of '诡秘' had not had a proper sun for a long time, first the Ancient Sun God took on the role, and later the Eternal Blazing Sun took over, Lucifer was not surprised.

The Ancient Sun God then looked in a certain direction, and then he seemed to have thought of something, pursed his lips, and looked at Lucifer and said, "Lord Lucifer, I have a request."

"What request?" Lucifer looked at Him curiously.

"I want to go over there and take a look," the Ancient Sun God indicated a certain direction.

Lucifer looked over, then raised his eyebrows, looked at the Ancient Sun God and smiled: "Do you want to save the Moon City over there, or do you want to observe the seal on the West Continent?"

There is no mistake in one first one hair one inside one content one in one look!

That's right, the direction indicated by the Ancient Sun God was the direction where Moon City was located, and also the dividing line between the East and West Continents.

"You really know," the Ancient Sun God glanced at Lucifer, and his expression was not surprised. He just sighed and said, "Both. Moon City has been stationed for thousands of years because of my order. I can't ignore them. As for the seal on the West Continent…"

The Ancient Sun God paused here and said, "The seal must be lifted."

"As expected, it's your answer," Lucifer nodded, then said: "Yes, but not today. I'm afraid you have to wait a few days, and I also want the faith of Moon City."

"Okay," the Ancient Sun God nodded, not surprised by Lucifer's answer.

"Okay, now that the Silver City's matter has been resolved, let's do something serious next!" Lucifer showed an expectant smile and looked at the Ancient Sun God and said:

"The True Creator has already locked on to Amon's location. He is nearby now… It seems Amon really cares about you, Mr. Sun God."

To lock on to Amon's main body in the Land of the Forsaken, the help of the True Creator was naturally indispensable. After all, this was the True Creator's happy home. If this operation was still somewhat difficult for the True Creator before he regained consciousness, now that he has regained much consciousness, it is simply too easy for the True Creator to lock on to Amon in the Land of the Forsaken.

Facing Lucifer's obviously teasing words, the Ancient Sun God showed a helpless smile, and seemed a little gratified. He looked at Lucifer and said, "I believe you have a sense of propriety."

The implication was actually not to do too much.
