Natural God's Gift

#68 - Warmth during the journey

The little spiders burrowed into the gaps of the piled-up silk sacks, picking up the God-given Gleditsia sinensis seeds they had been allotted and eating them in small bites.

The Gleditsia sinensis seeds were bitter and slightly numbing, not very tasty, but they were extremely rich in primal energy.

As mentioned earlier, primal energy foods are divided into two parts: primal force and primal energy. Primal force is needed for evolution and is distributed throughout the body and life sac. It is the purest vital energy of the body. As long as the primal force in the body accumulates to a certain amount,

the insectoid warrior can plan to break through to the next instar.

Primal energy, on the other hand, has different attributes. The ten common talents of insectoid warriors correspond to the ten attributes of primal energy. Warriors who consume primal energy foods with the same attributes as themselves can increase the primal energy in their bodies. Conversely, if they consume large amounts of primal energy foods that do not match their attributes, there is a high probability that they will die violently.

For example, Si Ye, as a primal Flame Spider warrior, has a wood-element talent. If it consumes wood-attribute primal energy foods, it can grow and evolve relatively safely. Consuming a small amount of water- or earth-attribute primal energy foods is not a big problem, but the primal energy in them is basically wasted.

If it consumes a large amount of fire- or lightning-attribute primal energy foods that do not match its own attributes, the primal energy properties will clash in its body. Not only will it not strengthen itself, but the resulting primal energy chaos will cause the body's elements to become unbalanced. At that time, even survival will be difficult, let alone breaking through to the next instar.

Moreover, even within the same attribute, there are many subcategories. Among wood-attribute foods, there are primal energy foods that lean towards defensive skills, primal energy foods that lean towards offensive skills, and primal energy foods suitable for practical territory management.

After insectoid warriors advance to the Mountain Lord level, they may awaken one or two skills in each instar. In theory, eating more of a certain type of primal energy food will greatly increase the probability of awakening that type of skill.

This is the difference between ordinary primal energy foods, God-given primal energy foods, and divine-grade fruits.

If they all evolve by eating ordinary primal energy foods, the skills they awaken will be highly uncertain, and they may not even awaken any skills at all.

If they all evolve by eating God-given primal energy foods, they can fill their bodies with elemental primal energy and roughly determine the possibility and inclination of skill awakening.

Divine-grade fruits usually come with an elemental skill. Eating a divine-grade fruit directly ensures that you will have a fixed skill. Some divine-grade fruits can even increase the lifespan and talent types of insectoid warriors, making them even more precious.

Of course, it is not to say that you can only eat primal energy foods with the same element as your body. The body of an insectoid warrior is like a bucket, and elemental ability is just one of the wooden planks in the bucket. It can determine the upper limit of the bucket, but it cannot determine the lower limit.

If you only eat primal energy foods with the same element as yourself, and your life force, strength, and soul cannot keep up with evolution, it's usually nothing, but during molting and evolution, you will easily encounter major and minor problems such as soul weakness, life exhaustion, and insufficient strength to support the shell.

This is also the reason why mental, strength, life, and soul primal energy foods are precious: they are universal, practical, and safe.

Gleditsia sinensis seeds are a small branch of the life element, and their function is to lubricate and strengthen worn joints, which may not be important to other insectoids, but it is very important to Flame Spiders, which are arthropods.

There are three God-given Gleditsia sinensis trees in the Flame Spider Kingdom, all of which were exchanged from other tribes by the previous Spider King at great cost. They are generally used to supply the tribe's own needs and are not sold externally.

The reason why Mountain Lord Ziyun only gave one-sixteenth of the God-given Gleditsia sinensis seeds to the little warriors is not because he is reluctant to part with them, but because the little warriors cannot eat too much. The life element is a large system, with many small branches, such as carapace strengthening, wing strengthening, vision strengthening, hearing strengthening, heart strengthening, and so on...

The primal force in the little warriors' bodies is too scarce, and evolution is relatively easy. If they eat too much, they may be forced to evolve. All aspects of the data need to be balanced a little, and the difficulty of evolution will be lower. It is not obvious when they are young, but the effect will become apparent when they grow up.

If two insectoid warriors consume the same type of primal energy food, and one consumes ordinary primal energy food while the other consumes God-given primal energy food,

the insectoid warrior who consumes God-given primal energy food will have more abundant primal force, a thicker carapace, greater strength, more vigorous life force, a more powerful soul, and a farther range of mental power diffusion, which is an all-round improvement, compared to the insectoid warrior who consumes ordinary primal energy food.

After the little spiders ate the God-given Gleditsia sinensis seeds, the abundant primal energy flowed through their bodies, and the nutrients in their bodies were quickly consumed. They took out the jerky they carried with them, sliced it into pieces, and ate it to restore their strength.

After Bai Zhi was full, she quietly released her mental power: "Si Ye, did Lord Qingfeng bring all our toys here?"

"Yes."

Mountain Lord Ziyun had given Si Ye the silk sack containing the toys yesterday. Si Ye took out the small silk sack from her back and opened it, and the two little spiders poked their heads in to check the toys.

In fact, they little spiders didn't have too many toys, only a few small pearls and shells given by other little spiders to play with.

Bai Zhi fiddled with Si Ye's Poseidon's Horn, curiously saying, "Si Ye, didn't you say that your Poseidon's Horn can summon sea beast warriors from the sea? Can it be summoned on land?"

Si Ye: "I don't know, I haven't tried it."

Bai Zhi怂道: "Then why don't you try blowing it now?"

Si Ye righteously refused: "Mountain Lord Ziyun and the others are sleeping, we can't disturb them."

Bai Zhi: "Um, okay then, shall we wait until Mountain Lord Ziyun and the others wake up before blowing it?"

"We'll see when the time comes." Si Ye took out a round little pearl from the silk sack and rolled it around on the ground. This was one of their few pleasures.

Seeing this, Bai Zhi drew a half-meter-wide circle on the ground with her spider claws. She also took out a small pearl and placed it on the ground: "Si Ye, let's play pearl fighting."

"Ah? This—"

There is a game of pearl fighting among the little spiders in the Flame Spider Kingdom. They draw a circle, put two small pearls inside the circle, and the little spiders kick their own small pearl to collide with the other small pearl. If their own small pearl is kicked out of the circle, or is collided out of the circle by the other's small pearl, they lose.

This is a game that tests the little spiders' brains, eyesight, and foot control. In the kingdom, Ni Hu,

Ku Cai are both experts in this area, as for Bai Zhi, hehe—

"Come on," Si Ye confidently put the small pearl in the circle, and the two little guys pecked at each other like chickens, kicking the small pearls around with their spider claws.

Shao Yao and Mu Dan lay on the goods, watching with relish. They were already big spiders in the seventh instar and were not suitable for playing this kind of game that only little spiders play, but they found it quite good for relieving boredom.

Mountain Lord Ziyun, who was originally lying on the ground with his eyes closed to rest, quietly opened his eyes, looking at the several little spiders who were playing. They added some fun and warmth to the originally boring and monotonous caravan journey.

It seems that this is not bad either!
