New Gods of North America

Freddy the Grey Wolf

With the help of several enthusiastic townspeople, "Grey Wolf" Freddy was successfully tied up like a dumpling and thrown into the town hall's carriage.

These days, the reward for wanted criminals is “dead or alive.”

Translated, it means that if you want to claim the bounty, you have to see the person alive or dead, or at least his head.

You can't just bring a plate of meat over and say this is the wanted criminal you are looking for.

Impolite.

Considering that his own carriage was not convenient to transport dirty things, Wayne specially drove the town hall's carriage over.

After receiving a lot of ridicule, a moderate amount of admiration, and a little contempt for being "unethical", Wayne drove his carriage back to town.

Speaking of which,

This "Grey Wolf" Freddy is really a tough guy. After the whining stage is over, according to the practice of ordinary criminals, the next process should be cursing.

Then he stammered during the interrogation and finally cried before being hanged.

Anyway, this is roughly the process in the documentaries Wayne has watched before.

But Freddy the Grey Wolf is different.

After he finished whining, even though his mouth was not gagged, he remained silent in the back of the carriage, but his eyes were always filled with resentment.

If the dog is quiet, he must be doing something strange.

So Wayne couldn't help but check repeatedly several times along the way, but he found no signs of looseness in the ropes and handcuffs.

I just know that I might have really offended this guy.

We must send him to the gallows smoothly later.

With Batman as an example, Wayne knew that he was definitely not capable of making a real villain learn to reform.

Then we can only settle for the next best thing and send them to see God - I guess that's about the level of his ability.

However, the most widely worshipped god in the world is not called God, but is called "the Holy Spirit."

Anyway, it's almost the same idea, they all claim to be the so-called "only true God", and then in the Old World, they let believers and pagans fight each other's brains out.

What level do these little brothers have to dare to say that they also believe in "God"?

Then the two sides were very open with each other and had a passionate love affair for many years.

When they were about ten kilometers away from the town, "Grey Wolf" Freddy began to laugh weirdly.

oh,

It's coming, it's coming,

The “swearing and cursing” stage is coming.

While paying attention to the movements in the carriage, Wayne pretended not to hear his strange laughter.

After laughing strangely for a while, "Grey Wolf" Freddy found that Wayne ignored him and seemed to feel a little embarrassed, so he took the initiative to talk to Wayne:

"Your Excellency Sheriff, do you know why my nickname is 'Gray Wolf'?"

How could I understand the thinking behind nicknames of you foreigners?

But I do know what criminals want to do when they deliberately attract other people's attention while being escorted.

So Wayne held the revolver in his hand, stopped the carriage, and planned to check again to see if there was any problem with the ropes and handcuffs.

It is better to be safe than sorry; being lazy will lead to being punished sooner or later.

Wayne has always been very patient when it comes to safety issues.

Even if you are not afraid of death, it will still hurt.

“Ouch—”

Before Wayne even got into the car, "Gray Wolf" Freddy suddenly howled loudly.

At first, Wayne thought that this guy might have a brain problem because he was arrested and suffered too much trauma.

Unexpectedly, at this moment, two wolf howls came out from the weeds on both sides of the road in response.

Then a gray wolf rushed out from the side of the road and pounced directly on the horses pulling the cart.

The horse was so frightened that it raised its front hooves, causing the front of the carriage to tilt, and then Wayne was thrown into the carriage.

The carriage was shaking violently, and the horses were galloping along, not knowing where they were heading.

Wayne was knocked unconscious and by the time he came to his senses, "Grey Wolf" Freddy was already on top of him.

——I saw that the figure of "Grey Wolf" Freddy had suddenly become much stronger, and the restraints on his body had been untied.

The muscles on his arms grew particularly exaggerated, bursting the sleeves of his coat. Long gray hair completely covered his arms and the backs of his hands. His fingers became black and thick, and his nails turned into thick and sharp claws.

Only the head still looks human.

Wayne looked at the pair of sharp claws and his pupils shrank.

What's happening?!

Werewolf?!

"Now, do you know why people call me Freddy the Gray Wolf?"

The claws swung towards Wayne's face, and Wayne also shot at the body of "Grey Wolf" Freddy.

"Bang!"

The bullet penetrated into the body of "Grey Wolf" Freddy. The impact of the bullet made his body shake backwards and at the same time made a bloody hole in his chest where his heart was.

Luckily I held the gun tightly...

Wayne just wanted to move sideways to avoid the blood spurting from the other person, but before he could even breathe a sigh of relief,

He saw "Gray Wolf" Freddy shaking his head left and right and attacking again.

Even if you hit your heart, you won’t die?!

How come you play dirtier than me?

Wayne felt both of his shoulders being hit by a huge force at the same time, and then his back hit the floor of the carriage hard. Then, the sharp claws of "Grey Wolf" Freddy swung towards his face again.

The sharp claws scratched across his face, cutting the flesh. Wayne seemed to hear the sound of the claws leaving marks on his facial bones.

Then the severe pain suddenly broke out, as if it spread throughout the body in an instant.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

Wayne was completely suppressed by the opponent. A pair of sharp claws shot left and right at Wayne's face and neck, blood splattered everywhere, and it seemed that Wayne's carotid artery was cut.

A column of blood spurted out, and some of the scarlet blood even splashed onto the top of the car hood, and the splashed blood quickly blurred Wayne's vision.

My consciousness quickly became blurred, and I suddenly felt very sleepy...

There is no time to aim at this moment, as long as you can hit the opponent's body.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Until the bullet is completely empty.

Wayne didn't know which of his shots worked.

Anyway, when he regained consciousness, the body of "Grey Wolf" Freddy was lying limply on top of him.

Pushing "Grey Wolf" Freddy's body away with disgust, Wayne turned his head and rubbed his eye sockets on the sleeve of his upper arm to wipe away the sticky stuff that blocked his vision, and then he could see the other person's appearance clearly.

Needless to say, there were several bloody holes on the opponent's body. One bullet even penetrated "Grey Wolf" Freddy's chin and flew out from the top of his head, making a large hole that was small at the front and big at the back.

The carriage was filled with red, white, and splashing water, all over the place.

I stuck my head out from under the canopy and saw that the carriage had arrived at a pond in a depression. The horses were still there, eating grass with their heads down and carrying the carriage.

After changing the bullets in the revolver, Wayne fired a few more shots at "Grey Wolf" Freddy's limbs and vital parts.

After feeling that "Grey Wolf" Freddy was completely dead, Wayne walked to the pond with his gun, washed his face and took another photo.

Fortunately, I have an immortal body that can be resurrected...

At this time, the wounds on Wayne's face and neck had healed, but no scars were left.

But there was no damage on the clothes, which was really scary.

It turns out that every claw of that "Gray Wolf" Freddy had previously been aimed at his own head.

It is said that you should not hit people in the face.

What a deep hatred! Do you think you would be like this?

After checking his body and finding that his overall condition was good, Wayne took off his upper body clothes, squatted by the pond and began to scrub.

I have to wash it, it's too disgusting.

Fortunately, the outermost coat is made of leather, so dirt doesn’t easily seep in and is relatively easy to wash.

The shirt inside wasn't that dirty, I could just rub the front and wear it.

But denim scarves are basically no longer acceptable.

Before he had time to think about what had just happened, Wayne noticed that there seemed to be faint noises coming from behind him.

Looking back,

I saw two people, probably a man and a woman, riding horses, appearing at the edge of the depression.

After seeing him, the person in the blue skirt stopped a little further away, while the other guy in black continued to approach him.

When the distance got a little closer, Wayne realized that the other person was not a resident of the town.

The man who came on horseback looked to be in his forties, with deep eye sockets, a big nose, a serious expression, and no beard on his face.

He was wearing a cowboy outfit of rather exaggerated style and shape, all in black, with a black hat, black jacket, black pants, black riding boots, and two black guns on his belt.

Only the detachable collar around his neck was pure bright white - this detachable independent collar was an important accessory used by clergy who believed in the Holy Spirit to identify their identity when wearing ordinary clothes. It was roughly equivalent to an early version of the "Roman collar".

The other party had already come to the edge of the pond on horseback. He did not seem to be hostile and introduced himself to Wayne:

"I'm Jim Hake, pastor of the Holy Spirit Church, and I'm about to take up my new position at Black Rock Church. You can call me Pastor Hake.

"I just saw you outside the pub by the steam train station, Mr. Sheriff."

Wayne was very alert at this time. While putting on his shirt, he didn't dare put down the gun in his hand.

He had just been attacked by Freddy, the "Grey Wolf" who seemed to be able to transform into a werewolf, and discovered that there were supernatural powers in this world. He felt a little uneasy at this time.

Then immediately a guy who looked like a clergyman came and said he had seen him before.

It's suspicious no matter how you think about it.

The man who called himself "Pastor Hack" did not seem to be too wary of Wayne. He just rode his horse to the carriage driven by Wayne and took a look inside the canopy.

Then he turned around in surprise and looked at Wayne:

"Mr. Sheriff, are you an exorcist too?"
