After Li Tongzhi said that, she lightened her footsteps as she walked towards the bookshelf.

Just as she reached out to open the door of the bookshelf, her eyes inadvertently swept to the family portrait of Mu Siyin with her mother and sister.

Her heart skipped a beat.

She raised her hand and gently flip the photo frame down on the table.

‘What on earth is she thinking? They’ve been dead for so long but she still has to place the photo here. Isn’t it scary to see that in the middle of the night?’

Li Tongzhi kept those thoughts to herself. Then, she hurriedly squatted down and opened the cabinet under the bookshelf.

Her eyes immediately lit up the moment she saw what was in front of her. All the boxes looked like they were full of precious things. Perhaps the succession certificate was in there too.

She did not expect Mu Siyin to have kept so much good stuff.

Just as she excitedly stretched out her hands to reach the box, she heard a quivering voice coming from behind.

Her eyes widened in shock. As she looked at Mu Siyin approaching her, her voice began to tremble in disbelief.

Although the lights were dim, her waterfall-like red hair was still very eye-catching. It was so familiar that Li Tongzhi wanted to yell.

Li Tongzhi screamed when ‘Mu Siyin’s’ long, fiery hair brushed over her wide eyes. She could not hold back anymore and passed out.

When “Mu Siyin” saw Li Tongzhi passed out, she stood up in a daze and mumbled, “It’s you guys, all of you…”

With her loose long hair, she murmured with a dull expression as she walked out the door.

Mu Xingyu waited in her room for a long time but did not receive any message from Li Tongzhi. She felt bothered as the side effect of the medicine should have kicked in already. According to her calculation, Mu Siyin should have fallen asleep long ago.

She decided to have a look.

As soon as Mu Xingyu stepped out the door, she heard a bang coming from next door. She thought that it was the maid who went back to rest at the auxiliary building, so she ignored it and headed upstairs.

When she came to the second floor, she immediately noticed that Mu Siyin’s door was opened. She was startled for a while and walked up hesitantly.

The room was pin-drop silence and there was no soul in sight.

Just as she took a few steps into the room, she saw Li Tongzhi passed out on the ground next to the bookshelf.

A loud ‘boom’ blasted in her mind when she saw that. Her eyes widened in shock and ran over in panic as she shouted, “Mom! What happened to you?!”
