Yan ransacked boxes and cabinets in Xiaohui's room, but there was nothing useful; except for accessories, there were only a few photos of Xiaohui.

Yan went to the kitchen. The food in the refrigerator was not particularly fresh, but it proved that the house was at least inhabited.
