The smile on Su Ruowan’s face froze and her heart skipped a beat. She anxiously followed up with a question, “Are you talking about the China Film Festival?”

Shen Xi put on her backpack and took two steps before turning back and scoffed. “None of your beeswax.”

Hiding the menace in her eyes, Su Ruowan was gasping for air from the tightness in her chest.

“Mushi, Shen Xi said she’s going to walk the red carpet. Is it true?” Su Ruowan meekly gazed at him and asked.

“I’m a little worried for Mom if Shen Xi makes it there.” Su Ruowan was perturbed.

“Are you really going to eat it?” Narrowing his foxy eyes at Su Mushi, Yu Qiubai strolled over and unhurriedly enquired, “Shi, are you going to eat this table if she really walks the red carpet?”

Already irked by Shen Xi’s arrogance, Su Mushi exploded in rage following Yu Qiubai’s comment. “Yu Qiubai! Are you bewitched by that brat?”

“I’m just saying.” Yu Qiubai flashed his pearly whites while his foxy eyes remained inscrutable to read into. “Don’t be angry. It’s just a joke between bros.”

“Yu Qiubai, am I still your buddy or what?”

Yu Qiubai had been taking Shen Xi’s side and rubbing him the wrong way recently, with complete disregard to his so-called bro’s feelings.

Su Mushi was blown off by Yu Qiubai’s offhanded and indifferent attitude every time they got together.
