What he preached was the wonderful scripture of the Three Vehicles, and the five aggregates were perfected. But I saw that the dragons were surrounding me and the flowers were raining in profusion. It’s exactly this: “The heart of Zen shines brightly on thousands of rivers and moons, and the true nature reaches thousands of miles into the sky.”

He saw that he had perfected the four virtues, had a golden body full of wisdom, a tassel with beads hanging from it, and a fragrant ring with treasures. When all the saints saw it, they all praised: "What a Buddha in the future life, he is worthy of being a disciple of the Buddha!" ​​The Buddha then ordered Guanyin Bodhisattva to come forward and asked: "How many hardships have the four monks of Tang gone through along the way?"

Thousands of gods and immortals have stretched their ears and listened carefully. This difficult rule is an agreement between Taoist Taishang Laojun and Tathagata Buddha. It represents the ebb and flow trend of Taoism and Buddhism. If the Buddhists spread many scriptures to In the Eastern Land, the Taoist sect is bound to decline. The fourth difficulty is to be wronged, the fifth difficulty is to meet a tiger when leaving the city, the sixth difficulty is to fall into a pit and escape, the seventh difficulty is to climb the Shuangcha Ridge, the eighth difficulty is to cross the mountain top, the ninth difficulty is to change horses in a steep stream, the tenth difficulty is to be burned at night, and is to be lost. There are eleven difficulties in wearing a cassock, twelve difficulties in crossing the Liusha River, thirteen difficulties in the meeting of ten thousand immortals, fourteen difficulties in crossing the sea of ​​fire, and fifteen difficulties in crossing the clouds.

Hearing this, Taoist Duobao sneered and said, "Master Guanyin's words are wrong. One difficulty and one passage are all difficulties and passages on the road to the West. The golden cicada was demoted, killed several times after she was born, and was thrown into the river at the full moon to seek her relatives and take revenge. It’s all childhood work, what does it have to do with learning from the West?”

Yun Zhongzi also smiled and said: "The Bodhisattva's arithmetic is wrong. Being burned by fire at night and losing his cassock are both a difficulty. How can it become a dilemma when it comes to the Bodhisattva's mouth? There is also Patriarch Zhu Ba who controls the Liusha River. When the holy monk crosses the river, there are The monsters spread across the eight-hundred-mile pontoon bridge, offering delicacies every ten miles and entertaining them attentively. It was not a problem that Patriarch Zhu Ba set up the Ten Thousand Immortals Conference not to embarrass the holy monks, but to deal with the monsters themselves. How could it be possible? Does it count as a disaster? The sea of ​​fire that spreads thousands of miles did not harm the saint monk at all, and it was extinguished by Kui Niu, the saint of supreme purity, so it doesn’t count as a disaster..."

Taoist Duobao and Yun Zhongzi looked at each other and smiled, and they actually felt sympathy for each other. They laughed together and said: "On this road to the West, there are only six difficulties! We should combine the six volumes of Buddhist scriptures and give them to the holy monks and send them to the Eastern Land of the Tang Dynasty. ”

As soon as this statement came out, not only the gods and Buddhas in the gods changed their expressions, but even the Tathagata Buddha also had a bad face. The journey to the west has been arranged for more than two thousand years, which is to pass all the Buddhist scriptures to the east and crowd out the Taoism. Although the ancestor Zhu Ba was warmly welcoming him when passing by Liusha River, Jin Chanzi was frightened and fearful. It can be considered a disaster. Ancestor Zhu Ba gathered a hundred thousand demons in Hezhou, Xiniu, and held a meeting of ten thousand immortals, which caused countless demon clan deaths and injuries, which made Jin Chanzi feel compassionate again. It was a disaster. It is difficult for a cicada to escape from the fire."

Yun Zhongzi and Taoist Duobao both sneered and were about to refute, when Master Xuandu laughed and said: "Two junior brothers, why do you need to be on the same level as him? He said that the fifteen volumes of the true scripture are the fifteen volumes of the true scripture. What's the harm in letting him have eighty-one volumes of scripture? Only by being humble and courteous can I show my magnanimity."

Yun Zhongzi and Taoist Master Duobao stopped arguing and said with a smile: "As the great master said, the holy monk fell down when he was a child, and it can be regarded as a difficulty, that's it, that's it! I'll leave it to you!" The words were so interesting that the gods who came to the meeting all burst out laughing.

When all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas heard this, they all looked ashamed, but Master Guanyin's expression did not change. He ordered Jin Chanzi to fetch fifteen volumes of scriptures and go to the Eastern Land to preach.

Taoist Duobao looked at the faces of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Vajras, Venerables, Arhats and others for a week, and saw many familiar faces. He sneered and said: "Buddhism has fifteen volumes of sutras. It's a pity that unlucky people should treat those When the list of gods comes out, they are all fish and meat on the list, pitiful, pitiful!" After saying this, he walked away without looking at the faces of the gods and Buddhas.

Yun Zhongzi also smiled and looked at the faces of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for a week, shook his head and said with a smile: "What a pity, what a pity. Please take good care of it!" He rode up an auspicious cloud and floated away.

The gods and immortals in heaven also stood up and left, as if they were avoiding the plague. Only Master Xuandu remained at the end. He took out two vermilion invitations from his sleeves, handed them to Venerable Ananda, and said to the Buddha: "My master invites the Buddha to attend a meeting at the Eight Views Palace in Yujing, Xuandu City, Taiqing, to discuss the seal of the Lord. Regarding the divine affairs, saints such as Sage Shangqing, Sage Yuqing, and Nuwa Empress attended the grand meeting together. After the Buddha was busy with matters related to his journey to the West, if he saw Amitabha, he was invited to go with him. "

After saying this, Master Xuandu bowed to the Buddha and left quietly. Only the gods, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Vajras, Ming Kings, Venerables, and Arhats were left looking at each other with fear in each other's eyes.

The last time I was granted the title of God, a great battle wiped out all the immortals of the Jie Sect. There were as many as 90,000 people on the list, not counting the disciples of other sects. It was a tragedy for the ascetics!

This time I want to be conferred as a god again. I wonder which sect’s disciple is on the list of conferred gods? People teach? The number of people is sparse. Explain the teaching? The number of people is sparse. Interception? The number of people is sparse. Among the four religions, Buddhism is the only one with so many disciples. Is it possible that Buddhism is really going to face a disaster?

The Buddha was silent for a long time, then suddenly stood up from the throne and said to Master Guanyin: "You continue to host the meeting, and as a teacher, I will go to the west to have a look." The gods and Buddhas were slightly startled. This is the west, and further west is the Jiuzhou knot. Realm, why did Buddha go to that place of transformation?

However, Ran Deng Ancient Buddha and others suddenly remembered something, and immediately felt relieved. With a smile on their faces, they recited the Buddha's name and said:

"Namo Amitabha!"
