Rise of the Crusader

"Hmm… This is so good." Gus exclaimed as it ate the meal on the table.

There was absolutely no stopping or pausing from Gus as it ate the buffalo meat on the table, it also feasted on the human skull beside it.

And the red drink that was added to the meal was terrific, to say the least.

Upon seeing Gus's reaction, the beasts from the big three in the academy had a smile on their faces.

They couldn't help but nod their head in satisfaction with the results they were seeing from Gus. And moving their gaze to Raphael, their cheeks raised slightly.

According to Serena, one of the easiest ways to get Raphael's consent was satisfying Gus… In order words please the owl as much as possible and once that was attained, the likelihood of Raphael agreeing was very high.

This was what the beasts had in mind, and even though their interest in Gus was indeed genuine, Raphael was still of extreme priority to them.

"What do you think about the meal, Raphael?" It was the crocodile that spoke.

Raphael slowly turned around the crocodile, "It's not bad." He replied.

"I knew you were going to like it… I specially ordered the bull scrotum and lion heart to be made for you." Said the crocodile.

Hearing the crocodile, the expression on Raphael's face changed immediately. He assumed the crocodile was joking, but seeing his crocodile, he soon moved his gaze back to the plate.

And while he had taken a bite of it already, taking a good look at it, it indeed looked like a heart.

Quickly, Raphael moved his gaze to the bull's scrotum as well. "What the hell!" Raphael muttered to himself.

Regardless of how Raphael looked at it, this act was completely barbaric.

"So good!"

Indeed, another man's food was another poison, and while Raphael stared at the meal in front, completely disgusted, Gus's squeaky voice sounded.

The owl found absolute delight in the meal in front.

It was to the extent that Gus hadn't even finished the ones in front when he turned towards the half-beast-half man and said.

"Can I have more of this?"

"Or if there's another menu that's more delicious than this, I would prefer that," Gus added.

The expression on the half-beast-half-man faces changed quickly, but as he was able to dismiss the look very soon, Gus didn't notice it.

Unbeknownst to Gus, every meal that he ate in the shop was going to be accounted for.

The beasts in the city were after all considered to be students of the academy.

And the price of the meals in the city would leave a man dumbfounded. If going by the currency of the world, and not the academy, there would at least pay a fee of two hundred million noxus at least.

"Bring item twelve over." Said the half-beast-half man.

As the beasts in the restaurant heard the order, there was complete silence in the restaurant immediately. Even the chefs of the restaurant were startled.

They stared at the half-beast-half man wondering if whether or not they had heard wrong, but seeing the look on his face, they understood that he wasn't joking.

They were indeed asking for item twelve.

As Gus continued to feast on the meals in front, the beasts glanced at one another, and as though they were in sync with one another, they flashed a rough smile.

The key to most men's hearts was the stomach, but in this case, the key to Raphael's heart was Gus.

"Wow! That's huge!" Gus suddenly exclaimed as he saw the meal that was being pushed over.

Indeed, item twelve was like no other. Whether it was the aroma or the food, it was a sight to behold.

Raphael had an eyebrow raised upon seeing the meals from afar, and as the meals arrived in front of him, he couldn't help but be startled.

The academy wasn't just a force to reckon with when it came to combat and strategy, they were exceptionally skilled in cooking. And despite that, the meal had yet to be tasted, none of the beasts in the restaurant doubted its wonders.

Thankfully, the meal was brought for Gus and Raphael. the look on Gus's face as it stared at the meal was as though it were more than willing to slaughter hundreds so long as it was able to have a taste of it.

"Put it right here," Gus said in an impatient voice.

As the food was then placed on the table in front of Gus, it wasted no time whatsoever and immediately dived into the bountiful harvest in front.

There was a hungry look on the faces of the beasts in the restaurant as they stared at the legendary item twelve.

Even though they were food in front of them, their eyes were fixed on Gus's plate, and if it wasn't for the six beasts around, they would have charged at the food.

As for Raphael, he glanced at the item twelve for a few minutes before then moving his gaze away.

After learning that the food in front of him was a bull scrotum and a lion's heart, Raphael couldn't imagine what sort of entity would the item twelve be made of.

These beasts were so sick they might as well grill a whole human body.

A few minutes passed and as Gus laid back, letting out a loud beech, Raphael spoke.

"I have made my decision about which of you, I will be joining."

While those words were highly anticipated by the beasts, they were somehow left astounded by the decisiveness present in Raphael's voice.

They soon directed their eyes on Raphael, with each of them staring at him with a look that was termed the 'puppy eye'

Raphael shook his head, seeing the expression on the beast's face. It was unlike what they intended, and to Raphael, he considered the look to be creepy.

"After much thought, I have decided that... I will be joining neither of the three of you."
