Sherlock Holmes at Hogwarts
#30 - Gryffindor loses big points
Potions class.
All the Gryffindor students looked at Sherlock with concern.
They all knew that Snape was unreasonable, biased towards Slytherin, and targeted Gryffindor.
Especially today, his attitude towards Harry Potter was a blatant display of this.
But they didn't expect that besides Harry, Sherlock would also provoke him.
"What's so happy about?"
Snape looked down at Sherlock condescendingly and asked coldly.
"Isn't it a happy thing to be able to learn the precise science and strict craftsmanship of potions from such an excellent professor?"
Harry: ’(°ー°〃)
Ron: (*゜ー゜*)
Hermione: Σ(っ°Д°;)っ
Little Lions \u0026 Little Snakes: w(゚Д゚)w
Sherlock would actually say such a thing!
Too shocking.
Snape obviously didn't expect Sherlock to give such an answer, he was stunned for a moment, then said coldly:
"Holmes, don't try to be clever in front of me, I'm not one of those fools who gets complacent after being praised a few times by you."
"I'm sorry for making you misunderstand, but I'm indeed telling the truth."
Looking at Holmes' calm face as he met his gaze, his words were earnest and sincere, making Snape feel like he had punched cotton.
"Since you love learning so much, I suppose you know the answers to those questions, right?"
His words immediately made all the little lions sweat.
Although Sherlock's performance in the previous few classes was very impressive, he was very poor in the astronomy class the night before yesterday, which inevitably made people worry.
The little snakes had a gloating look on their faces.
As long as they see Gryffindor unhappy, they are happy.
Sherlock still had a calm face, and said at a constant speed in a tone without any emotion:
"Powdered root of asphodel mixed with an infusion of wormwood makes a sleeping potion;
To find a bezoar, you need to go to the stomach of a goat;
Monkshood and wolfsbane are the same plant, there is no difference."
The main point is that I say whatever you ask.
He didn't mention these knowledge points again, such as the alias of the sleeping potion being Draught of Living Death, bezoar having extremely strong detoxification effects, and monkshood and wolfsbane being collectively called aconite...
However.
When Snape mentioned the first question to Harry just now, there was a hint of torment and struggle in his expression.
Although it was subtle and fleeting, it didn't escape Sherlock's eyes.
So Sherlock decided to test it out.
He stared at Snape with bright eyes, and said with a try-it-out mentality:
"The asphodel is a type of lily, and in the language of flowers passed down from the Victorian era, it represents 'My regrets follow you to the grave'.
Wormwood represents 'absence' and 'bitter sorrow'.
The sleeping potion is a 'Draught of Living Death', representing a 'hellish and miserable life'.
In summary…"
"Enough!"
Whether it was the little lions or the little snakes, who were listening with great interest, a roar suddenly interrupted Sherlock's description.
The already cold classroom seemed to drop several degrees at this moment.
Snape's originally gloomy face was now as if it was about to drip water, and his cold and empty eyes wished he could gouge two holes in Sherlock.
"Put away your self-righteous explanation, this is potions class!
I really suspect that your brain has been hit by a troll's club, or directly stuffed with a bezoar?
Because of your cleverness and those useless explanations, Gryffindor loses one point!"
Sherlock smiled.
He had gotten the answer he wanted.
Then he caused trouble again.
"What are you laughing at?"
"I thought of…"
Before Sherlock could answer, Snape interrupted him directly, "Disrespecting the class, Gryffindor loses another point!"
"Professor, that's not fair!"
Hermione, who had been忍耐, finally couldn't help it. She, who had been ordered to sit down, stood up, "Holmes clearly answered all the questions correctly!"
"That's typical Gryffindor, questioning the professor is a tradition, right?"
Snape immediately turned his head, "What's your name?"
"Hermione Granger."
"Very well, because you are rude in class and openly contradict the professor, Gryffindor loses one point."
Hermione: Σ(っ°Д°;)っ
"And you, Potter, you can't even answer such a simple question, and you try to direct the professor to do things, Gryffindor loses three points."
Harry: Σ(`д′*ノ)ノ
When he heard that he was being deducted points, Harry was stunned.
What does it have to do with me!
Also, why am I deducted the most?
He was about to speak when Ron kicked him behind the cauldron.
"Don't talk," he whispered, "You don't want Gryffindor to be deducted points again because of you, do you!"
Harry: (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)
The points deduction ended, and the potions class continued.
The students worked in pairs to learn how to brew a simple potion to cure boils.
Of course, the Gryffindor students' situation did not improve.
Almost all the students were criticized one by one, only Malfoy was spared.
As for Harry and Sherlock, they were given special attention.
The former was because Snape himself looked at him with prejudice.
The latter was because of the lily flower language explanation.
However, Sherlock's operation was impeccable, and Harry was carried by a big shot, so there was no problem.
Snape tried several times to find fault, but all failed.
Fortunately, he didn't deduct points from other Gryffindor students, which made the little lions secretly relieved.
At this critical moment, Neville, who was next to Sherlock and Harry, had a problem.
I don't know what he did, but he burned through the cauldron with Seamus, and the potion inside splashed on the slate floor, burning holes in the shoes of nearby students.
A stream of acidic green smoke came out, followed by a loud hiss.
"Idiot!"
Snape roared loudly, and was about to deal with it when Sherlock had already picked up his wand.
"Scourgify!"
Snape's eyes lit up at the clean and neat movements, but his face turned cold in an instant.
He yelled at Neville:
"I think you probably put the porcupine quills in without taking the cauldron off the fire, didn't you?"
How could Neville care about answering?
He was soaked in potion when the cauldron was knocked over, and now he was covered in red and swollen boils. He was already in pain, and he cried out under Snape's power.
"Take him to the hospital upstairs."
Snape said sharply to Seamus, then turned to Sherlock and Harry:
"Potter, why didn't you tell him not to add the porcupine quills? Do you think it will make you look good if he makes a mistake? Gryffindor loses one point."
Harry: 凸(艹皿艹)
"And you, Holmes, since you can use magic to clean the floor, why didn't you prevent him from knocking over the cauldron in advance, Gryffindor lost another point because of you."
