vampire bat

Chapter 8

"I'm Thales." The man approached Winnie and picked up a bottle of red wine beside the bed, "You were the one who released me from the coffin."

"Are you Josephine's prisoner?" Winnie remembered his ghostly green eyes and his skeleton-like body that day in the basement, and even Winnie remembered how he sucked his own blood.

"What about you?" Thales was very annoyed by the name of the prisoner. He sat down on the edge of the bed and drank without a glass, "A poor prisoner."

Winnie looked at the person closest to him. Taylor's withered black hair was tied casually behind his head, there was a blue stubble growing on his chin, and the clothes on his body were not only worn out but also stained with blood.

"That guy locked me in a coffin and let me starve to death." Thales stroked the beard on his chin and grinned, "I never thought that I would come out again after 100 years."

"Then why did you come back?" Vinny asked him, shouldn't a fugitive should stay away, "Aren't you afraid I'll tell Josephine?"

"Look at yourself." Thales grabbed Winnie's wrist and forced him to see his injured hand. "Do you want to stay by his side?"

Winnie looked at his hands, the blood on the gauze was blindingly red.

"I can help you escape." Thales approached Winnie, and he kissed Winnie lightly. "As long as you help me find out his weakness, I can take you away."

"How could he have a weakness." Winnie closed his eyes in refusal, "He's a prince."

"Sometimes the weakness doesn't necessarily lie with them." Thales squeezed Vinny's chin forcefully to make him open his eyes. "If you disagree, then I have no choice but to kill you."

"Don't kill me!" Winnie compromised at the last second when Thales grabbed his neck, "I'll help you."

Thales let go, and he turned into a mist and disappeared through the window.

The cage was unlocked, probably because Sebastian had forgotten to lock it.

Winnie looked around the empty room, his sensitive ears could not hear any movement, so he quietly opened the door and slipped out.

Josephine's pets were kept in all the rooms, some were precious animals, and some were handsome blood slaves. They stayed in their cages, looking forward to Prince Josephine's blessing.

Winnie couldn't help but feel the creeps. In his heart, Josephine's beautiful face was like a snake's head spitting out a letter, a veritable femme fatale.

A familiar voice came into Winnie's ears. He would never forget that gentle and magnetic voice. It was Bourne!

"Bourne..." Winnie ran towards the direction of the voice excitedly.

Someone dragged Winnie into the room and covered his mouth, "If His Royal Highness finds out, you don't want your legs anymore."

Sebastian said to Winnie, seeing him calm down before letting go.

"I want to see Bourne."

Hearing the distant voice, Winnie was afraid that he would never be able to find him in the next second, "Please, I want to see him."

"Come with me." Sebastian led Winnie to look down from the guardrail upstairs.

Winnie sees Bourne dressed as a servant, and a nobleman reprimands him arrogantly.

"Why is he here?" Vinny asked.

Sebastian didn't answer him, just said: "The Wilson family has nothing to do with you."

This sentence is undoubtedly reminding Winnie that he has become Prince Josephine's pet, and it is best for a pet not to know anything.

Earl Falun suddenly appeared downstairs, the nobleman had no choice but to stop reprimanding, but he also brought an unexpected person.

"Where have you been?" Bourne asked Erlande.

Erlande held Earl Faron's arm and said nonchalantly, "We went to play at Lacey's house, we had a great time!"

"It's time to go back." Sebastian grabbed Winnie's arm, trying to bring him back.

"Is it worth it, for a bat!" Winnie couldn't see them but could hear Erlande's voice.

"You might as well let him die, at least he doesn't have to be imprisoned, and you don't have to be trapped here!"

Sebastian locked the cage angrily, and said to Winnie in a stern tone: "If you run out without permission next time, I won't protect you anymore."

"I'm sorry." Winnie said to him through the cage. Seeing that Sebastian was about to leave, he hurriedly stopped him, "Can you tell me why Bourne is here as a servant."

"It's not your business." Sebastian replied and turned to leave.

"Please tell me, I will be obedient in the future." Winnie stretched out his hand to grab his clothes, but the blood-stained gauze made him withdraw his hand in fear.

Seeing his pitiful look, Sebastian shook his head helplessly: "You let Thales go, you should have been executed, but Bourne interceded for you. His Royal Highness spared you, but he wants to be here Be a servant for 300 years."

Vinny slowly sat back on the bed, and that was the result. He released Thales himself, and then made Bourne to be a servant here for 300 years.

I have no freedom here, even if I am in the same palace as Bourne, Winnie will not be able to see him.

Perhaps, if Josephine believed that she had been tamed, wouldn't she be restricting her freedom?

Winnie was thinking, lying on the bed with his back to the door, looking at the thick dark clouds outside the high window.

After an unknown amount of time, Winnie woke up, and his current life was just lying in bed and sleeping to pass the time.

Sebastian coughed, and Winnie turned to see Josephine standing beside his bed.

"Master." Winnie turned over and supported himself on his elbows to get up.

"No, just lie down." Josephine pushed Winnie back on the bed and asked him, "Don't you hate me?"

Winnie was stunned. How should I answer this question? It would be a lie to say that I don't hate him.

Josephine didn't force him to answer, but looked up and looked around, looked at the birdcage with only a few pieces of furniture and said, "It's time for me to add something to you. What do you like, branches or eaves?"

"Huh?" Winnie couldn't understand what he was talking about, the branches and the eaves, did he want to hang himself up.

"Bats always hang somewhere, right?" Josephine looked at the cage and asked him, "What do you like?"

"Twigs, I like to hang on the branches." Winniben wanted to complain, but remembering that Josephine has mind reading skills, he had enough.

"Are you trying to curry favor with me?" Josephine raised Winnie's face, "Look at you, your face is full of reluctance, do you want to show me?"

Winnie raised his head, he was dumbfounded by Josephine's inexplicable anger, and he didn't even know what he did wrong.

"No, master, I just...follow all your arrangements." Winnie explained that he somehow angered Josephine, not knowing what he did wrong.

"Do you know how to make a pet? Do you know how to please the owner?"

Josephine asked.

"I... know." Winnie looked at Josephine's angry blue eyes, his voice became smaller and smaller, and the last sentence of knowing seemed to be heard only by himself.

"Sebastian."

Josephine grabbed Vinny by the collar and pulled him up from the bed, and pressed him on the cage, "I'll hand him over to you, teach me well, if it doesn't work, I'll roast him and send him for dinner."

Winnie was pinned to the cage, with his face stuck between the two iron railings, until Josephine let him go and fell off the railing.

"Have you ever rejected your master?" Sebastian asked Josephine after he left.

"Refused." Winnie said, he also rejected Erlande the day before he came to the dance, "little master is very angry and has been ignoring me."

"Did he not punish you?"

"No, he just got angry with me and ignored me."

Sebastian paused for a moment, and said, "You were very lucky to meet such a good master."

Winnie smiled wryly. He used to complain that his little masters were difficult to get along with, but now it seems that they are really nice to him.

"I have been with Prince Josephine since I was transformed. Your Highness is a nobleman who can control life and death, and he has been spoiled since he was a human." Sebastian couldn't help showing helplessness look, "In my eyes, he has always been a spoiled child, he never tells you what he is thinking, and what he will do next requires you to take a risky guess, but he can observe the other person's behavior from the slightest movement. Whether it is with your own mind."

"But I can't do it, I won't, and I dare not." Vinny shook his head, how could he guess what Josephine was thinking, and how would he know what he was going to do next.

"You don't need to do everything right, even if you didn't guess anything, don't act reluctantly, and don't do things he hates." Sebastian knelt down and put his hand into the cage He touched Winnie's head, "He hates pets who disobey him the most. Do you know what will happen to those pets?"

Vinny shook his head, but judging from how badly his nails were pulled out for pulling his clothes, those pets would not end well.

"They will be made into food and eaten by blood slaves."

Winnie swallowed. He had seen the scene of humans killing chickens, and he didn't want it to be his end.

"I see..." Winnie took a deep breath, "Please teach me how to be a good pet for His Royal Highness."

Sebastian put his hands in Winnie's hair again, and he said to the little bat, "I will."
