Just a Bit Unhealthy

Chapter 14: Ice and Fire Love

When Jared met Claire's eyes, he knew she knew.

A sickness welled up somewhere in his stomach, but he managed to keep a smile on his face.

Claire smiled back, a little hesitant. "Welcome back," she said, kissing him on the cheek.

"I'm asking Jared to live here until he finds a new house," Gabriel said, stroking his shoulder.

"No problem," Claire replied, with a flat smile. "You are welcome to come and stay, Jared. You can stay as long as you want."

Jared searched her face for signs of hypocrisy, but found nothing.

Claire looked down at her milk-stained clothes and wrinkled her face. "Holy shit, I'm such a mess! I'll be right back with a change." She grinned and ran upstairs, looking a bit uncomfortable.

"Why are you telling her?" Jared asked.Had he known this was the case, he would not have agreed to live with them.

"Because I have to say," Gabriel said, stepping closer to him, "you're not some dark little secret to me. We have nothing to hide from, and I don't lie to people, let alone Claire." He looked at Jared seriously. "Listen, I know it's weird, but I'm going to try to get on with you, and I'm not going to complicate things with lies. So I told Claire you mean a lot to me and I want you Happiness, I also told her you...you..."

"You said I loved you," Jared said flatly.

Gabriel bit his lower lip and nodded. "Are you mad at me?"

"What do you think?" Jared said. "Do you know how embarrassing it is for me? She's your wife..."

"she is not!"

"Really?" Jared said sharply. "She is the mother of your child. Her importance cannot be measured by a marriage letter. As a result, I will live under her roof now, knowing that she knows my thoughts and will watch you two together, Accompany my son..."

"I know," Gabriel answered him, and Jared finally looked at him at the sound of his voice—watched him seriously.

Gabriel's eyes are wide and tangled, his shoulders tense under his light green sweater. "I know," he said again. "I'm not such an idiot. I know it's embarrassing for you, I fucking do!" He took a shaky breath. "Do you think I'd like to? Do you think I'd like to make you suffer like this? I hate it and I'm scared to death."

"What are you afraid of?"

Gabriel looked into his eyes and said, "I'm afraid that if you leave that man for me and come back here, but I can't give you anything, you will regret it in the end." He smiled bleakly. "I said I would make you happy, but you know me, sometimes I'm not so firm. Maybe I can't do it at all. I may end up disappointing you and making you sad." His lips pursed into a seam. "Maybe I should stop bothering you. That man...Oscar...he can give you what I can't, but..." Gabriel's jaw quivered, and he rested his forehead on Jared's shoulder, "But I just If I can’t, I’ll be tortured to death.”

Jared stared blankly at the opposite wall.

"You don't know what the scariest thing is, do you?" Gabriel said with a slightly lower voice. "If Claire falls in love with someone else, I will let her go. Although it will be uncomfortable, I will still respect her choice, because I want her to be happy. But you are different. When I think of you falling in love with someone... I think of a certain The person is more important to you than me... I would go crazy. You belong to me and no one else." His hands tightened on Jared's skirt, and his voice tightened. "Although it feels stupid, I really feel... that you were born for me, and no one else is qualified to have you." Gabriel chuckled, still buried in Jared's shoulder. "Call me, say I'm a freak, say I'm sick."

Jared struggled to control his body.Gabriel's weird possessiveness always turns him on.He knew there wasn't a single smut in Gabriel's words, but there was a vague lust mingled with his possessiveness, whether Gabriel meant it or not. "You freak," he finished, reaching up to caress the nape of his neck and planting a kiss on the strands of his hair.

"But you just love me, don't you?" Gabriel's voice is full of undeniable longing.

"I love you," Jared said, the love was bitter and bitter, but he was relieved to be able to say it.He lifted Gabriel's face and pressed a longing kiss along his jaw. "I love you."

Gabriel's whole body melted into his arms, and he raised his face and burrowed into his neck. "I love you more," he whispered, stroking Jared's Adam's apple with his lips. His kisses and words, so pure.

But the reaction of his body was not pure at all.Jared's heart pounded in his chest, and the familiar urge and longing, pain and pleasure raced through his veins again.

Jared closed his eyes, wondering if this might be the ecstasy caught between bliss and purgatory.
