Chapter 125 Peter Pettigrew
"Professor." Jacqueline carefully knocked on the door of Lupine's office with a crystal glass full of potions in her hand. She didn't use much force, but the door opened.Obviously, the people inside were in a hurry and did not close the door.
"Professor?" Jacqueline called again, but no one inside responded. She took the cup and walked in.It was dark and messy inside.Lupine's office was not as gloomy and cold as Professor Snape's. It was tidy and dimly lit. There were countless potion bottles in the cabinets on three sides of the wall.
The outermost circle of Lupine's office was stacked with all kinds of objects they had seen in class. The lid of a rusty box was banging, and what appeared to be a boggart was inside. In the tank against the wall is a red cap with long claws.
Lupine's desk was at the far end of the room, and it was piled high with papers and what appeared to be their transcripts from students.Jacqueline was careful not to spill the potion in the cup.She walked over to Lupine's desk. The final report card was on top of the pile of books. She glanced at it and saw that there was only Liang after her name.
It should be expected that Jacqueline's flat mouth was somewhat lost. She was drawn to what appeared to be a map of parchment on the table, the lines on which looked like they had been drawn freehand with a quill. There are also many small dots, some moving, and several standing still.
Jacqueline put the cup on the table and looked at the picture carefully. It was a map, a Hogwarts map.And each dot above seems to represent a person, and the name of the person is written next to it.
Jacqueline was looking at the map, her mother Una was sitting perfectly in her office on the fourth floor, and Malfoy was walking up and down in the lounge. But in the lounge representing Gryffindor, there was no Hermione's name.Is she still with Hagrid?Jacqueline looked out of the window, the dark sky, why didn't she go back so late?Could it be that she failed to save Buckbeak? Her eyes traveled to the place on the map that represented Hagrid's hut. There was no one there, not even Hagrid.
Where will Hermione go?Jacqueline was a little anxious. She searched the entire map, and finally found Hermione's name in a small corner, near the place in Hogsmeade village. It was really lively there, Harry, Ron, Lupine, Blake as well. . .
"What's the matter?" Snape's cold voice sounded in front of Lupin's classroom, Jacqueline looked up hastily, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw that the glass of potion she brought was not as hot as before.Looks like she's been here too long.
"Lupine isn't here?" Snape frowned in disgust as he walked through Lupin's classroom. "What are you looking at?"
"There looks to be a map here," said Jacqueline, stepping aside so Snape could see it.Snape just glanced at it and snorted.
"I knew it was their trick." He said contemptuously, he glanced at the map, and then a smug smile appeared on his face, "It's great that Black is there too." He waved his hand , walked out of the office, "Go back to the lounge, Jacqueline."
"Professor," Jacqueline called out boldly without moving, "this map should be incorrect."
"Even if Dumbledore is wrong, this map can't be wrong." Snape turned his head and said coldly.
"But there is still the name of Peter Pettigrew." Jacqueline looked at Professor Snape, blinking his eyes, "Isn't he dead?"
Snape strode back, staring at the map, it took him a long time to raise his head, and there was a tinge of anger in his eyes.
"How long have you known?" He lowered his voice.
"It's the first time I've seen this map." Jacqueline said flatteringly, "But Banban has a problem, and I only figured it out recently."
"If I ask you to go back now..."
"If the Dean doesn't want me to know," Jacqueline chose her words carefully, she didn't want to offend Snape by saying a wrong word.In that case, not only would she not have a good excuse to take a look openly, but she might also be closely monitored by Snape in the next few years.
Snape snorted, turned and walked out.
This meant that there was no problem, Jacqueline smiled at herself, and hurriedly followed.

Harry felt his stomach turn upside down.
"I don't believe it!" Hermione screamed.
Lupine let go of Black and turned to her.She had risen from the floor, pointing at Lupine, her eyes wide open. "you you."
"Hermione!"
"you and him!"
"Hermione, calm down."
"I didn't tell anyone!" screamed Hermione, "I've been covering it up for you!"
"Hermione, please listen to me!" cried Lupine. "I can explain."
Harry felt himself shaking, not from fear, but from a new wave of rage.
"I trust you," he yelled at Lupine, his voice shaking uncontrollably, "and you've been his friend all along!"
"You're wrong," said Lupine. "I wasn't Blake's friend for 12 years, but I am now. Let me explain."
"No!" screamed Hermione, "Harry, don't trust him. He's been helping Black into the castle, and he wants you dead too, he's a werewolf!" There was a silence. All eyes were now on Lupine, who, though rather pale, was calm.
"It's not on your usual level, Hermione," he said, "I'm afraid it's only a third of your usual level. I haven't been helping Black into the castle all the time, and I sure don't want Harry to die." His face There was an odd tremor. "But I don't deny that I'm a werewolf."
Ron tried to get up again, but failed, and fell again with a grunt of pain.Lupine walked up to him, looking very concerned, but Ron gasped, "Get away from me, werewolf!" Lupine stopped, motionless.
Then, with an apparent effort, he turned to Hermione and said, "How long have you known?"
"It's been a long time," Hermione said in a low voice, "after I did the thesis assigned by Professor Snape..."
"He'll be happy," said Lupine dryly. "He's laying out the paper in the hope that one of you will understand what my symptoms mean. You've looked at the moon chart and you know I always get sick at the full moon." Or you know that Boggarts turn into silver balls when they see me, moon"
"Both things," said Hermione quietly.
Lupine forced a laugh. "As far as I know, you're the smartest witch of your age, Hermione."
"I'm not." Hermione whispered.
"You're right," said Lupine, "if you count Jacqueline."
"She's a fool, too," cried Hermione. "She stopped me from telling everyone, you're a werewolf! And she said you were in no danger! And she made me believe Crookshanks, tell me I I can save Buckbeak." Her voice was a little hoarse, her eyes were a little dim, and she began to insist with a little doubt. "She was wrong!"
"Now they all know," said Lupine calmly, "at least the teachers know."
"Dumbledore hired you knowing you were a werewolf," Ron gasped, "is he crazy?"
"Some teachers felt that way," Lupine said. "He had to do a lot of work to convince certain teachers that I could be trusted."
"But he was wrong!" Harry exclaimed, "you've been helping him into the castle!" He pointed to Black, who had gone to the edge of the bed and collapsed on it, covering his face with a trembling hand.Crookshanks jumped up beside him and fell into his lap, whining with satisfaction.Ron dragged his injured leg slowly away from them.
"I haven't been helping Sirius all the time," said Lupine. "I'll explain if you guys give me the chance. Look,"
He parted Harry's, Ron's, and Hermione's wands, throwing each back to its owner.Harry caught himself, surprised.
"Okay," said Lupine, slipping his own wand back into his belt. "You are armed, we are not. Now you can listen to me."
Harry didn't know what to make of it.is this a trick
"If you hadn't been helping him," he said, glancing at Black angrily. "How do you know he's here?"
"The map," Lu Hu said, "that Marauder's map. I was looking at it in the office just now."
"Do you know how to use it?" Harry asked suspiciously.
"Of course it will," said Lupine, with an impatient wave of his hand. "I helped draw it. I am Moon Face, a nickname my friends gave me when I was in school."
"You drew it."
"Importantly, I'm looking at the map carefully tonight because I think you, Ron, and Hermione might have sneaked out of the castle to see it before Hagrid's hippogriff was executed. He. Am I right, am I?"
He started pacing up and down, looking at them. Some dust kicked up around his feet.
"You may be wearing your father's Invisibility Cloak, Harry."
"How did you know I had that invisibility cloak?"
"How many times have I seen James under that dress," said Lupine, with another impatient wave of his hand. "The problem is, even if you wear the cloak, it will show up on the map. I watched you walk across the field into Hagrid's hut. After 10 minutes, you leave Hagrid and walk back towards the castle. But you I have other companions."
"What!" said Harry, "No, we didn't!"
"I can't believe my eyes," said Lupine, still pacing, ignoring Harry's interruption. "I thought the map wasn't working. How did he end up with you?"
"Nobody's with us!" said Harry.
"Then I saw another dot, moving quickly towards you, that dot identified as Sirius Black. I saw him collide with you, and I watched him pull two of you into the Whomping Willow go inside."
"One of us!" said Ron angrily.
"No, Ron," said Lupine, "two."
He stopped and looked at Ron.
"You said can I have a look at your mouse." He asked flatly.
"What?" said Ron. "What's Scabbers got to do with this!"
"It's all about it," said Lupine. "May I have a look at the mouse?"
Ron hesitated, then reached into his robes.Scabbers appeared, shaking violently in despair.Ron had to grab the long, bald tail to keep it from escaping.Crookshanks stood up on Black's lap, whimpering.
Lupine moved closer to Ron.He looked at Banban intently and seemed to be holding his breath.
"What's the matter?" Ron said again, holding Scabbers closer to him, looking terrified. "What can my rats have to do with it?"
"It's not a mouse," said Black suddenly hoarsely.
"What do you mean it's a rat of course!"
"No, it's not," said Lupine quietly. "He's a wizard."
"It's an Animagus," said Black, "named Peter Pettigrew."
