Chapter 15 Halloween Chapter
After dinner, when Jacqueline and Pansy just walked into the common room, a mass of black object suddenly swooped into Jacqueline's arms, startling Pansy beside her.
It was only when Jacqueline pulled her owl out of her arms by its wings that she realized why.Haig's leg was strapped to a large package that was about to overtake it.Jacqueline walked to the table and put Haig on the table, opened the package, and inside was a pile of various pies and snacks, with a letter pressed at the bottom.Jacqueline unpacked a bag of candy and fed it to Haig, who uttered a cry and flew out.
"That's great." Pansy swept away the pie spread on her horoscope chart in distaste, "You don't have to drag me to the kitchen from now on, I don't want to walk through the Hufflepuff common room every day. After going through it once, I feel that I have become a little stupid."
"I don't mind if you try it." Jacqueline shrugged and opened the envelope. "The candies and pies are all made by Norm. Some of them seem to be the exclusive secret recipe of one of my ancestors. They taste very good."
"No need." Pansy shook her head, "Sweets are a woman's natural enemy."
"But you're still a girl, Pansy." Jacqueline's eyes flicked to Pansy's chest. "At least, there it is."
"Shut up and eat your food, Jacqueline."
Jacqueline smiled, grabbed a pumpkin pie, and read a letter from her mother.
Dear Jacqueline,
I got your letter and hope you are doing well at Hogwarts. You mentioned in your last letter that your headmaster and potions teacher, Professor Snape, is a very powerful master of potions and spells, and you should ask him for advice.I have reordered a standard crucible by mail for you, and it will be delivered shortly. As for the Miss Hermione Granger you mentioned in your letter, I would hate to see you lose to a girl from a Muggle family, even if the girl is very bright and studious. Also, the Parkinson family is famous for collecting intelligence, so you should pay more attention.I wish you all the best.
Una Graham.
"Interesting," Jacqueline closed the letter, took out the quill and was about to start her homework, when Malfoy and his two followers walked in laughing.
"Trust me, Pansy, Jacqueline, tomorrow, tomorrow we won't have to see Harry Potter."
Pan Xi just raised an eyebrow when she heard this.
"What did you do again, young master Malfoy?" Jacqueline asked curiously.
"I made an appointment with them to duel in the prize showroom at midnight today."
"What the hell?" Jacqueline snorted angrily, "Tell me, you didn't plan to go."
"Of course I didn't." Malfoy stood up from the sofa, greeted his two servants, and walked towards his dormitory. "I just told Filch that they would definitely be fired."
"Harry didn't get fired the first time, but he became the youngest Seeker. Hasn't he learned to behave yet?" Jacqueline slumped on the table lazily.
"Congratulations on coming to my world." Pansy replied angrily.
The next day, when Malfoy saw Harry and Ron sitting in the dining room having breakfast, he was so angry that he broke the plate.
"Perhaps," Jacqueline looked up from across the table, "you shouldn't do anything stupid until you're smarter."
"He's going to get out of school one day." Malfoy grabbed the fork bitterly, imagining the eggs on the plate as Harry's head, and smashed them to pieces. "One day."
"Maybe after you," Jacqueline murmured.
On Halloween, they woke up to the sweet and inviting smell of pumpkins in the hallway, and, wonderfully, Professor Flitwick told them that they could start learning how to make objects fly.
"If that's the case," Jacqueline yelled in pain, "it would be easier for me to be punished by my mother to clean her basement."
Professor Flitwick divided the class into groups of two and started training.Jacqueline is partnered with Pansy, Malfoy and Goyle. "Now, don't forget that delicate wrist movement we've been working on!" Professor Flitwick said sharply, standing on top of his pile of books as usual. "Flick, remember, flick. Getting the spell right is also very important. Don't forget Wizard Baluffeo who said 'f' instead of 's' and found himself lying on the floor , with a bison standing on its breast."
It's easy to say, but it's not difficult to do.After a few tries, Jacqueline managed to get the feather to rest on top of their heads.
"Oh, well done!" Professor Flitwick yelled, pinching his hands, "Look, everyone, Miss Graham has succeeded!"
"Do you have to do this?" Pansy asked through gritted teeth.
"It's very simple." Jacqueline smiled, "Just wave and shake, and then recite the spell correctly."
"Yeah, it's easier than just saying 'up'."
"Shut up, Pansy."
After class, Jacqueline and Pansy went downstairs to the dining room to attend the Halloween banquet, and overheard Patil telling her friend Lavender that Hermione was crying sadly in the women's room and refused to let her go. Others comfort her.On the other hand, Harry and Ron's affection seemed a little uncomfortable.
"What a poor Miss Know-it-all," Malfoy yelled from the sidelines. "Just because she has a little more brains than you, is she abandoned by you? Mister Savior and his henchmen?"
But this time, Harry and Ron didn't refute, just lowered their heads and walked quickly towards the restaurant.
"That Mudblood, though." Malfoy snorted behind them.
"Malfoy," Jacqueline called softly.
"Got it, got it." Malfoy waved his hand impatiently, "It's etiquette again."
