Chapter 17 The First Quidditch
After entering November, the weather becomes very cold. The mountains around the school are gray and covered with snow and ice, and the lake is as cold and hard as tempered steel.Every morning there is frost on the ground. And what Jacqueline felt most inexplicable was that the Quidditch season had also started. Who would like to go outside to watch such boring games as Quidditch when the weather was freezing?
However, she was dragged out by the enthusiastic Pansy and Malfoy on the left and right, because the first match was Slytherin vs. Gryffindor.By eleven o'clock, it seemed the whole school was in the stands around the Quidditch pitch. Many students also brought binoculars. The seats are literally raised to mid-air, but it's still hard to see the game at times. The Slytherin auditorium was facing the Gryffindor auditorium, and the students on both sides shouted loudly as if in contrast.Jacqueline crouched with Goyle and Crabbe, cradling a lit tin pot for warmth.
Soon, the teams of the two colleges came out of the locker room and walked to the court, with Mrs. Hooch as the referee. She stood in the middle of the field, her broomstick in hand, waiting for the players on both sides.
"Listen, I want everyone to play fairly and honestly," she said once the players gathered around her.Mrs. Hooch blew her silver whistle hard, and fifteen broomsticks rose from the ground and high into the sky.The game started, and the weird commentary.
"The Quaffle was immediately picked up by Angelina Johnson from Gryffindor, what a Chaser that girl is, and she's also very pretty."
"Jordan!" cried Professor McGonagall.
"I'm sorry, Professor."
Lee Jordan is a friend of the Weasley twins. He is serving as the commentator of the game under the close supervision of Professor McGonagall.
"She was flying all the way up there, a beautiful pass to Alicia Spinnett, a talent that Oliver Wood had spotted, who was just a substitute last year, the ball went to Johnson, and then, Oops, the Slytherins snatched the Quaffle, Marcus Flint, captain of the Slytherin team, got the Quaffle and flew away, Flint was flying like an eagle on it, he wanted Score! No, Gryffindor keeper Wood made a beautiful move and broke the ball, now Gryffindor has the ball, it's Gryffindor Chaser Katie Bell, in Over the pitch, dashing nimbly around Flint. Whoops, that must have hurt, got hit in the back of the head by a Bludger. The Quaffle was tackled by the Slytherins, it was Deryampsey but he was knocked down by another Bludger, which was pushed aside by either Fred or George Weasley, and the twins were hard to tell apart. Gryffindor's bludger Well done to the golfer, Johnson got the Quaffle back, no resistance in front, she was running like hell, dodged a Bludger, the goalposts were ahead, come on, well, Ann Gilina! Keeper Blake swoops in, misses, Gryffindor score!"
The cheers of the Gryffindors echoed in the cold sky, and Jacqueline's side was full of dissatisfied growls from the Slytherins. Jacqueline half-closed her eyes and yelled a few times with the crowd, then flinched again. Go back, drowsy.Falling asleep during a Quidditch match, however, was unlikely, and soon Jacqueline was awakened by Slytherin cheers, especially Malfoy's sarcastic voice.
"Look, our savior," Jacqueline followed Malfoy's fingers and looked up into the air, Harry's broomstick began to tumbling, "Is he performing acrobatics?"
"What the hell?" Jacqueline cursed in a low voice, rubbing her eyes.
"Looks like there's something wrong with his new broom." Malfoy laughed. "Great, throw him down!"
"It's not a problem with the broom." Jacqueline frowned and shook her head, muttering in a low voice, "If it was a problem with the broom, Professor McGonagall would have noticed it from the beginning, then..." Jacqueline stood up suddenly, He snatched the binoculars from Malfoy's hand and aimed his gaze at the teacher's seat.Snape was standing in the middle of the stands opposite them, his eyes fixed on Harry, and he muttered silently.
"Dean?" Jacqueline whispered, and quickly shook her head again, "No, the Dean would not do such a thing in broad daylight," she continued to look up, looking behind Snape Professor Quirrell.
"Hmph, interesting." Jacqueline snorted, "During days like this, do you want Slytherin to take the blame for you? Then you are wrong, professor. Besides, there is a lady who knows everything over there , Cao Cao, Cao Cao is here." Jacquiline looked at Hermione who was galloping up to the stands, and with a twist of her mouth, she handed the binoculars back to Malfoy, and pulled Pansy away, "This game is really boring " Jacqueline said, pulling Pansy away, "Pansy, let's go."
"But..." Pansy couldn't finish her sentence at all, she had already been dragged by Jacqueline and ran off the stands.
"Jacqueline," Pansy was pulled all the way to the owl shed by Jacqueline before being let go, smoothing the wrinkles on his clothes with some dissatisfaction, "You'd better explain why you suddenly pulled me here?"
"I want to ask you something."
"I don't know anything."
"Please, Pansy, it's in your family's blood to collect information."
"But that doesn't mean I want to help you!"
"It's fair," Jacqueline nodded, "Then let's make an exchange."
"Exchange?" Pansy crossed her arms, "In exchange for what?"
"Your uncle." Jacqueline took a step forward when she saw Harry and the others walking back to Hagrid's hut, "The Malfoy family is not the only family with connections in the Ministry of Magic."
"I do not know what you're talking about."
"It's easy to die in Azkaban."
"Why should I trust you?"
"You can choose not to believe it." Jacqueline smiled, "You can also believe me."
"What do you want to know?"
"Professor Quirrell."
"Professor Quirrell?" Pansy sneered. "A silly, garlicky Professor Quirrell? Are you alright? Jacqueline?"
"You're not going to tell me that your family doesn't have any information about him, do you?"
"I'll ask my father." Pansy snorted, "What you promised me."
"Don't worry." Jacqueline smiled, "We keep our promise. Now," Jacqueline said and walked out, "I don't think you want Malfoy to know our conversation."
"You don't need to remind me."
