Chapter 264 Birthday

Charms class had just finished on Friday afternoon, and before Hermione had time to say hello to Jacqueline, Jacqueline dragged Pansy and ran away in a hurry.

"I just wanted to ask." When Hermione, Ron, and Harry went down to the Great Hall for dinner, Ron whispered, "Are you going back to the Gryffindor common room tonight?" Is it? Or are you going to spend the night with your Slytherin girlfriend."

Harry and Hermione turned to look at him together, "Oh, I don't mean anything else," he muttered under his breath, "What would Harry and I do with our homework tonight without you?"

"You can survive doing homework all night by yourself!" Hermione said decisively, ignoring Ron's murmured complaints, and walked straight to the Gryffindor table. "Jacqueline asked me to go to the room at eight o'clock and answer the request." Hermione said while looking at the long Slytherin table. Pansy, Jacqueline, and Malfoy were not on that table. "I think I'll be back before curfew."

"An answer room?" Harry and Ron glanced at each other, they looked very troubled, "but how do you get in?"

"What are you supposed to be thinking about?" Ron asked as he gnawed on a drumstick, "The room my girlfriend gave me as a surprise?"

"Not true!" said Hermione angrily, giving Harry and Ron a nasty look. "That's why Jacqueline has a girlfriend and you're both single."

"Yeah, her girlfriend is still wrong," Ron said softly.

"You have good eyes." Hermione said with a little pride.

"But," said Ron, "a lot of people really like Harry, and you saw that during the Quidditch trials..."

"That's because he's the 'savior of the world'," Hermione suddenly became a little impatient, "now everyone knows he's telling the truth, right? The entire wizarding world has to admit that what he said about Voldemort's comeback The news is correct, and he has actually fought him twice in the last two years, and he narrowly escaped both times."

Harry suddenly felt uncomfortably hot in the Great Hall, even though it was late at night.

"I think Lavender likes Ron." Harry said sheepishly.

"Oh, you can see that too." Ron smiled, "I think she's pretty good."

Hermione made a tsk-tsk sound on the side, and she stood up, "You two can continue to sit here and discuss nonsense! I'm going to get ready to go on a date with my girlfriend!"

"It sounds like she's going to meet the Minister of Magic." Ron said dissatisfiedly, "Come on, as long as I want, I can make an appointment with Lavender tomorrow."

But Harry touched him. "I think Hermione's right," he said softly. "Think about when we invited girls to dance with us in fourth year."

"We were only young then," said Ron firmly.

"But my Valentine's last year and fall, I completely screwed up," Harry continued, "We don't know girls at all."

"That's true," said Ron, who looked at Harry and seemed to understand what Harry was trying to say, "But, you want us to..." He frowned and thought, "No, it's too bad Yeah, I think it's like watching my sister kiss someone else."

"We just have to take a look," Harry continued, "we'll go when Jacqueline comes."

"Well then," Ron said, still not very accepting, "we can't do any homework tonight without Hermione anyway."

"I think that's about it." Jacqueline took a step back happily, admiring the masterpiece she had spent several hours to complete. The red velvet cake was decorated with golden flowers. In the center of the cake, it was written: Happy 17th birthday to Hermione Granger. "Of course, if time permits, I think I will do better."

"This is what you need," Pansy said, sitting on a high stool beside her, eating the dessert brought by the house elf. "Time, speaking of which, what time did you make an appointment with your little girlfriend?"

"Eight o'clock in the evening." Jacqueline glanced at her watch, "Don't worry, we still have more than 40 minutes, just enough for me to take a shower."

"You want a shower?" Pansy said, eyes widening. "Aren't you afraid of being late? Girls don't like people being late."

"Don't worry, Pansy." Jacqueline snapped her fingers, and Dobby hurried over. He carefully put Jacqueline's masterpiece into the refrigerator, "I've been counting the time all this time. Pansy , you can go back to the lounge and wait for me now, I assure you, I will show up in the lounge on time in 10 minutes, and then I can go to give Miss Granger a birthday that she will never forget !"

Hermione spent another two hours getting her hair done, and Ron and Harry were even a little dazed when she walked into the common room in that white arm-length dress.

"Damn Merlin!" said Ron, "you're a really nice girl."

"Thank you," said Hermione sweetly, but when Harry and Ron offered to go to the house with her and agreed, the smile on her face disappeared completely.

"No way!" she screamed, and Harry and Ron had to cover their ears.Hermione straightened her face, "I didn't know you guys came up with such a bad idea! But, Jacqueline will never allow it, and I will never agree!"

"We just want to know more about girls." Ron shrugged his shoulders and said, "You see, we don't know girls very well at all. The girl we know best is you, and you don't..." Ron suddenly became very sensible closed his mouth.

"If you say things like that, it proves that you don't understand girls at all!" Hermione yelled hysterically, "Harry, I will never let you mess up me and Jay just because you messed up your date." Guilin's! And Ron," Hermione stared at Ron angrily, "if you want to go to a girl like Ravender, then go! She might like you to be straight!"

"We actually just want to accompany you to relieve boredom." Ron changed the subject at the speed of light, "What should you do if Jacqueline is late? What's more, you are also our friend, and we have the right to wish you a birthday Happy, right?"

"She won't be late," said Hermione firmly, as she headed out of the lounge. "You can wish me happy birthday now or when I come back."

"But Hermione," Harry continued, "we're a little concerned for your safety."

"Safety?" Hermione turned her head, and she looked at the two boys with some amusement. "I'm at Hogwarts!"

"But you didn't have a wand with you, did you?" Ron said, surreptitiously eyeing Hermione, who didn't seem to be hiding her wand anywhere.

"So what?" Hermione asked, crossing her chest.

"What if you meet Malfoy on the way?" Ron asked.

"Or some other Slytherin," Harry went on. "What would you do if they attacked you?"

Hermione frowned slightly after listening.

"They're not going to hold you back just because you're Jacqueline's girlfriend," Ron added.

Hermione frowned as she thought for a moment, "Okay. But!"

"As soon as Jacqueline comes, we will leave immediately!" The two boys said in unison.

"You really think it's okay for me to dress like this?" Jacqueline tugged at her robe uncertainly, "I think I should go back and change."

"You're a wizard," Pansy sneezed again, and she said impatiently, "what else should you wear if you don't wear a robe? Besides, it's only seven minutes before eight o'clock, and we're already on the seventh floor. So unless you," Pansy said and sneezed again, "Jacqueline Graham! What the hell are you smelling like?"

"I just used a little more shower gel today." Jacqueline held the cake in her hand and climbed the stairs carefully, "Hermione likes to smell me."

"So you just poured out the whole bottle?" Pansy sarcastically said, "Aren't you afraid of choking Miss Granger to death?"

"You're exaggerating, Pansy," Jacqueline said. "I only used a quarter of a bottle."

"Yeah," Pansy rolled her eyes, "you must still think that's too little, don't you?"

"No," Jacqueline shook her head firmly, "I think that's just fine."

"Wow!" Harry and Ron exclaimed as soon as they entered the room of request and answer. Now this room is completely different from the room they used for DA practice. The light in the whole room comes from A large crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling. Under the chandelier is a dark grand piano. Next to the piano, there are several comfortable sofa chairs facing the fireplace.

"Jacqueline must have brought their things here." Ron sighed, "It feels good to be rich."

"Don't be silly." Hermione snapped softly. "I've been to her house. It's not the same piano."

"Piano?" Ron stared at the behemoth in front of him, he stretched out his finger, wanting to touch the grand piano, "Is this what you're talking about?"

"Be careful!" Hermione said suddenly, and she slapped Ron's hand away. "This piano won't stand your clumsiness."

"What's the big deal," muttered Ron. "I played with toy drums when I was little. They're musical instruments, aren't they?"

Hermione glared at Ron. She walked to the grand piano and ran her fingers lightly over the piano's lid, on which was also an envelope with Graham's watermark on it.Hermione sat on the piano bench and took a slight breath. She opened the piano cover and put her fingers on the keys.

Jacqueline and Pansy stood together in front of the Ask and Answer house, she thought to herself, the room for Hermione Granger's birthday party, the room for Hermione Granger's birthday party, the room for Hermione Granger's birthday party, The room of Ranjie's birthday party. The door on the wall slowly appeared, and the beautiful piano sound came from the Room of Response.

"Isn't that right?" Pansy turned her face and asked, the song was so familiar that Jacqueline would open the music box Hermione gave her every night before going to bed.

"Adilina by the water." Jacqueline closed her eyes, with a smug smile on her face, "She is really a lady who knows everything."

Pansy shook her head helplessly, she pushed open the door, touched Jacqueline, and signaled her to go in quickly.

Jacqueline tiptoed into the room. Hermione was sitting behind the piano playing, and Harry was sitting on the soft armchair, turning his head and listening.Ron stood behind him, his eyes... fixed on Hermione

that look...

Admiring, admiring, intoxicated...

Jacqueline's heart was stung all of a sudden, she knew that look all too well.

Jacqueline stepped forward, she wanted to use the most vicious spell she knew on Ron, she wanted him to always remember whose girlfriend Hermione was.

But that dream suddenly appeared in front of Jacqueline's eyes, slowly connecting with reality.

Hermione was lying in the hospital bed, and Ron was holding a newborn baby in his arms, Hermione's, the child.

They were all there, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Harry. They're all there, except me.

Jacqueline swallowed, her eyes watering a bit.She squeezed her eyes hard to let the tears flow. She took a step back, stepped out of the door, and closed the door without a sound. She leaned against the wall of the corridor, bit her lips tightly, closed her eyes, and slid her body to the ground bit by bit.The wonderful music in the room continued, and the cake she made by herself floated in the corridor, but her mood was completely different.

"Jacqueline," Pansy was already walking in the corridor leading to the stairs. She was startled when she heard the voice behind her and turned her head to look. She ran back a few steps and knelt on Jacqueline's In front of her, hands resting on her shoulders. "What's the matter, Jacqueline, what happened?"

Jacqueline just bit her lip tightly, she shook her head and refused to say a word.

Pansy was angry and anxious. She stood up suddenly and was about to open the door again.

"Don't go." Jacqueline tugged at the corner of Pansy's robe, and she mumbled, crying, "Don't go."

"Then tell me what happened!" Pansy exclaimed, "What Hermione Granger did to you!"

"It's none of her business." Jacqueline looked up at the ceiling, and she squeezed her eyes desperately, trying to stop the tears from falling. "It's me, it's me."

"What the hell!" Pansy was completely confused, "What the hell are you talking about!"

"I should grow up." Jacqueline held Pansy's hand, she stood up, wiped the tears from her eyes, "I should grow up," she repeated.

"Okay, okay, okay." Pan Xi couldn't help nodding, "You're going to grow up, you're going to grow up."

"Is it right to choose life rather than death?" Jacqueline's eyes were red, and she held Pansy tightly and refused to let go.

"Of course," said Pansy, feeling anxiously at Jacqueline's forehead. "You're not sick. You're not running a fever."

"Isn't it!" Jacqueline's eyes were burning red, she stared at Pansy, and Pansy felt cold sweat protruding from her back.

"Yes, yes," Pan Xi nodded hastily, "Of course it's a choice, of course it's a choice."

"Okay." Jacqueline frowned, and clenched her back molars tightly, "Listen up, Pansy, none of us has been here tonight, we've been in the lounge all the time."

"But?" Pansy asked confusedly.

"No one has been here!" Jacqueline pressed her fingers hard, and Pansy felt that her hairs were standing on end. She firmly believed that there would be ten more finger prints on her arm tomorrow.

"Okay, okay. We haven't been here, we haven't been here." Pansy shook her head vigorously.

"Finally," Jacqueline took a deep breath, the veins on her neck popped out, she looked into Pansy's eyes, and every word seemed to want to imprint what she said deep in her mind, "I never Never liked Hermione? Granger, it's just a bet, a bet between you and me."

Pansy looked at Jacqueline in disbelief. The Jacqueline in front of her was bloodshot and her veins were bursting. She was so strange. She seemed like a Death Eater or a dark wizard.

"It's a bet," Pansy nodded tremblingly, "a bet."

Jacqueline stared at her. She wiped away the teardrops from the corners of her eyes with her thumbs. She pulled out her wand and tapped on the cake she had made by herself, floating in the air. It represented Gryffindor's red-gold cake , now adorned with green and silver, and the inscription on it has become: To the Victor.

"Take this to the lounge." Jacqueline ordered in a cold voice, she seemed to have become an emotionless person, "If Malfoy is here, keep him until I come back."

Pansy glanced at Jacqueline, she seemed to want to ask Jacqueline where Jacqueline was going, but she didn't say anything, just directed the cake to walk towards the basement.

Jacqueline turned around, took one last look at the closed door of the Ask and Answer room, and headed downstairs to the prefect's bathroom.

When you come, I wish you a happy birthday.Turn around and leave, you and me, Stranger Things.
