Chapter 97 France

"So," in a small coffee shop on the corner of an inconspicuous street in Provence, France, a man with thick black curly hair leaned gracefully on the back of his chair, turning the coffee cup in front of him, "next year It's the World Cup, Jacqueline, are you interested in going to the final?"

"Not at all." A thin and small girl opposite James said casually as she ate the soufflé in front of her.

"That's a carnival in the wizarding world." James sighed speciously, "Not only watching the game, but also many performances from all over the world, as well as their snacks."

"Is that so?" Jacqueline looked up from her dessert and thought about it, "Okay then."

Neither of them spoke, just sat quietly in the warm afternoon sun until a black female owl flew to their table with a letter and a package tied to its feet.Jaquilin took down the letter, asked the waiter for a small water glass, and pushed it in front of Haig. Haig shook his wings, let out a cry, and drank in small sips.Jacqueline turned over the letter first, in Yuna's elegant, neat handwriting, addressed to James.Jacquiline handed the letter to James and opened the package.Inside was a small envelope and a beautifully wrapped box covered in French.Jacqueline turned over the envelope. It was in the handwriting of Hochwartz, Miss "Know It All" from Gryffindor.

Dear Jacqueline:

Have a great summer and hope that things at the end of term didn't get you grounded.I'm currently on vacation in France and I know you know Muggles better than anyone else, I saw some desserts in Paris and they're called macarons, I don't know if you've tried them.So I'm going to post some for you to try, as your birthday present, although, I don't know your birthday. But I found that I didn't know your address. At this moment, your owl found me. I can only say, I think this is your owl.

There is some interesting magic here in France.I've completely rewritten my History of Magic essay to include some of the things I've discovered here.

I'm going to London in the last week of summer vacation, can you come too?I really wish you could go.If not, I'll see you on the Hogwarts Express on September [-]st! Hermione

And, below is my phone number in France, I live with my aunt, you are welcome to call me.

And, I mean, we can probably discuss the paper together, if, you want.

Jaquilin opened the box in front of him, and there were more than a dozen macarons of different colors inside.

"Pierre Herme's macaron?" James picked up the lid and glanced at it. "I didn't know you had a friend in Paris, why didn't you invite him to play with you?"

"It's Hermione." Jacquelin took back the lid. "What did Mom say?"

"She asked me when I would take you back." James said as he folded the letter. "Since Miss Granger is in Paris, I guess you can invite her to our house after we go back, or you can ask Greg Riffin will show you around. He knows a lot of interesting places in Paris, including places for Muggles and wizards."

"Forget it." Jacquiline shook her head, "I don't know her that well."

"It's different from the Graham family," James stood up with a smile, "The Harris family welcomes others to come over as guests. Well, let's go." Without waiting for Jacqueline to say anything, James directly pulled her up." We're going to have a good time at Provence before we go back to Paris."

The next day, when he returned to Harris Manor, according to the itinerary, James originally planned to take Jacquelin to a nearby playground, but something at work suddenly found him.Just as the Harris family was gathering for dinner, Kaga, the house elf, suddenly appeared and said that someone was looking for him through the fireplace.James stood up, apologized to his family, walked to the fireplace and chatted for a while, then hurriedly left a note, waved, and Kaga hurried over.

"Master James, what are your orders?" Kaga said respectfully.

"Give this to Sean," James handed over the note, "and ask him if he can stay an extra day and accompany Jacqueline to the playground." He nodded to Kaja as he said, "Go."

"Yes, Master James." Kaga bowed, and James walked into the fireplace and disappeared.

"So, at that moment," Sean was talking about his chase with a fugitive, "I jumped up and grabbed him hard by the neck," Sean said, pumping his hands in the air, forming a circle. Circled, his exaggerated movements elicited a burst of laughter from the dining table, "Aurors coming soon... Hey, Kaga." Sean glanced at his grandfather, Tyler Harry, who was standing at Jacquiline Spoon's Kaga, "Where's that kid James?"

"Master James asked me to give you this." Kaga handed over the note tremblingly.

Sean took it over and quickly frowned.

"Master James would like to ask if you can stay for a day and take Miss Jacqueline to the playground."

"Well," Sean put the note into his pocket, his face was a little pale, "This is not good, very bad." He muttered, as if he didn't hear Kaga's words, then he thought for a while, raised his head and asked, " Mr. Taylor, can I borrow your fireplace." He frowned, "It's a matter of work, I must hurry."

"Go, my boy." Tyler nodded.

"I can take Jacquiline to the playground tomorrow." James' younger brother Ryan said, "It doesn't matter if the bookstore is closed for a day, let alone Olivia."

Ryan's wife nodded aside, "Maybe I can take her there."

"It's fine if I don't go." Jacqueline said quickly, "I can..."

"No, no, no," Taylor shook his head repeatedly, "That's not an ordinary playground." He shook his head at Jacquelin, "That's it."

"Daddy's favorite." Ryan winked at Jacquelin, "especially that haunted house, he said that only when you walk out of it can you be considered a real Harris."

"I definitely didn't say that." Taylor shook his head with a smile.

"Yes, you just threw me into the haunted house and told me that if I can't get out, I don't have to come back."

"I'm just kidding you."

"I was only five years old at the time." Ryan yelled, then glanced at everyone at the table, and said slowly, "For a five-year-old child, this is not a joke."

His words elicited laughter from the dinner table.

"Don't be intimidated by him, Jacqueline," Olivia laughed from the sidelines, "we won't throw you in there."

"Yes, yes." Taylor nodded seriously, "Otherwise, your mother would kill us all. Back then..." Taylor obviously wanted to say something more, but he immediately shut his mouth. There was an awkward silence at the dinner table.

"I'm so sorry." Sean strode back, put his hands on Ryan's shoulders, and saluted Olivia, "Thank you very much for your dinner, Mr. Taylor, but I have to go. "He said and glanced at Jacqueline, "It's a matter of work, I'm really sorry, Jacqueline, I can't take you to play in Paris."

"Is it urgent?" Ryan turned his head and asked.

"A prisoner escaped," Sean seemed to sigh helplessly, "from Azkaban."

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a sound of breathing on the dining table.

"The dementors are very angry. I have to hurry back before they cause trouble." Sean said, bending slightly, "See you next time, everyone." After he finished speaking, he disappeared into the restaurant.

"I'll take you there tomorrow." Ryan winked at Jacqueline, "Don't worry.

"Me too." Olivia smiled.

"No, no. I have someone better." Taylor shook his head. "It's a tradition," he said, "if not her father, at least someone like her father."

"Please, Dad." Ryan spread his hands, "Aren't you talking about yourself, I thought I was behind the godfather."

"Medivh." Taylor nodded towards Ryan, "I'll contact him, I think he will be very happy."

"Grandpa Medivh." Ryan nodded, "Then I have nothing to complain about."

"I heard from James that one of your friends, Miss Granger from Gryffindor, is also in Paris?" Taylor turned to look at Jacqueline, "I think you can invite her to go with you tomorrow."

"No." Jacqueline shook his head, "We're not that close."

"Go and ask." Olivia said, "That playground is very famous. And, how rare is it to meet classmates in France and Paris."

Jacquelin still wanted to refuse, but Taylor didn't give her a chance, "That's it." He nodded at them, "I'll go to contact Medivh, you call your little friend, there seems to be someone in our family A phone, but let Kaja find it for you, James brought one with him when he came back last time, but honestly, we have no idea how to use it, and there is no need. Tell her, we will pick her up, and then Send her back so that her parents don't have to worry." Taylor stood up from the dining table and said as if summarizing, "Then it's decided."

"Grandpa Medivh is a good man." Ryan stood up and patted Jacquilin on the shoulder, "I'm sure he will give you a hint, and don't be afraid, there is no danger." Ryan blinked at Jacquiline, " However, if what James brags to us is true, this haunted house should be like a back garden for you. After all, not everyone can escape from the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets."

Jacquiline couldn't explain how much preparation she had made at that time, and Harry, Fawkes, and the silver sword.Jaquilin stood up and walked towards her room. Kaga came to clear the table. Jaquilin thanked him. He was a little flattered and almost dropped the plate in his hand on the floor.Jacqueline shrugged, Kaga was always on edge.

Back in the room, Jacquilin took out the envelope from the bottom of the box of macarons that she had almost eaten, and took out her mobile phone to call Hermione.

"Hello." The other party quickly picked up, speaking fluent French, with an unfamiliar voice.

"Hello." Jacquiline replied in French, "I want to find Hermione, Hermione Granger, I don't know if she is here."

"Yes, you made the right call." The woman on the opposite side laughed loudly, "If that's what you're worried about." Immediately, the woman on the opposite side shouted in English, "Hermione, your classmate is looking for you."

"Did you leave the phone with your classmate?" A slightly familiar voice sounded in the room, and Jacquelin guessed it was Hermione's mother.

"I only left it to Jacqueline." Hermione's voice came from the other end of the phone, and then she seemed to approach the phone, "Jacqueline, is that you?"

"Yes." Jacqueline replied.

"I'm so glad to hear your voice again," said Hermione cheerfully. "I hope Professor Graham didn't punish you for something at the end of term." She lowered her voice. "I'm in France, Paris! It's wonderful, I've completely revised my history of magic thesis. I also found a bookstore here, it's incredible, it's owned by a Ravenclaw, she helped me a lot. You Have you finished your Potions paper? "Guidelines for the Preparation of Potions for Werewolf Transformation" I plan to write this one. Oh, I'm sorry," Hermione took a big breath suddenly, "Your summer vacation is over. How are you?"

"Fine." Jacquelin nodded into the phone, "Hermione, listen..."

"There are many wonderful places in Paris, I really hope you can come and see. But let me tell you, you must know the history of wizards like the back of your hand. By the way, do you like the macarons I sent?"

"Yes, I like it very much." Jacqueline nodded again, "Hermione, if..."

"You probably don't know, Ron and his family went to Egypt. Oh, look at what I said, you must have read the "Daily Prophet." Must have learned a lot of interesting stuff. By the way, which courses did you take next semester? I couldn't make up my mind, so I just took them all. I think Professor McGonagall will think I'm crazy, maybe I'm choosing courses I should ask you before, although Percy gave us a lot of advice, but listening to one more person is not a bad thing, right?"

Jacquilin didn't speak, and there was an awkward silence on both sides.Jacquelin waited, and after making sure that Hermione would not say anything more, she said quickly, "Hermione, I'm in Paris."

"I guess that must be an interesting class. No, wait," Hermione suddenly screamed across the way, "You're in Paris! France, Paris!"

"Unless you can find a second place called Paris."

"Oh, my God." Jacquilin thought she heard a choked sound from the other side, "I'm so stupid to send you a box of macarons. I guess you must eat it every day."

"It's not every day."

"Well, maybe we could get together, I mean, do some homework or something. A paper on History of Magic, and a paper on Potions. Maybe, and... by the way, next year I'll take Ancient Demons Wen, I heard that the teacher is Professor Graham, and Percy said she is the best."

"Probably," Jacqueline replied. "Actually, I'm going to an amusement park tomorrow. Grandpa asked me to ask you if you would like to go with us. We can pick you up."

"Mom," over there, Hermione turned her head excitedly and asked her mother who was watching TV, "Can I go to the playground tomorrow?"

"I thought we agreed to go to the Eiffel Tower? Don't you really want to go there?"

"It's Jacqueline! She's here too!"

"If that's the case," Hermione's mother nodded, "of course, go play with your friends."

"Jacqueline," said Hermione, picking up the phone again, "The Champs-Elysées, my aunt's is near there, if you can."

"Then we'll meet there at ten o'clock." Jacqueline said quickly.

"Okay!" Hermione responded instantly.

They both fell silent at the same time.

"See you tomorrow then." Hermione said quickly and hung up the phone.
