Chapter 22 The Adventure That Had to Go
When Ann reached the bottom of the stairs, someone suddenly rushed out from the passage. When she saw that it was Ann, she hugged Ann, fell on Ann's shoulder and cried.
An was almost knocked down, so she caught the person subconsciously by surprise. After she was stunned for a second, she realized who the crying person was.
Hermione, she was crying very sadly on Ann's shoulder.
Ann didn't know what to say for a while, since she was a child, she didn't know what to do with the crying person, so she cast a helpless look at Fanny.
Fanny returned a few words of mouth from the side without making a sound, "Comfort her!"
Ann thought about it for a while, then she patted Hermione's back lightly, comforting softly, "Okay, it's all right! Can you tell me what happened?"
Hermione gradually changed from crying to sobbing, and she choked up and said, "We suspect that Professor Snape is going to steal the Philosopher's Stone, so Harry sent me to spy on Professor Snape, he just found me, now I Don't know where he's gone. We've spoken to Professor McGonagall about it before, but she doesn't believe us... Ann, I'm scared..."
"Okay, okay, I see..." An didn't know what to say for a while, she couldn't say something hurtful at this time.
Fanny saw Ann's hesitation and thought, "Ann, I think you should help them!"
"I..." Ann wanted to explain.
But Fanny answered immediately, her tone was serious, "If you don't help them, then I will definitely help them. I think this is the right choice!"
Ann was choked by Fanny's words. She was so helpless that she was caught by two children, but she had no choice but to say, "Okay, I'll go!"
Hermione raised her head from Ann's shoulder, looked at Ann with tears in her eyes, and asked choked up, "Ann, are you really going to help us?"
Ann took out a white handkerchief from her pocket, handed it to Hermione, and nodded, "I'll help!" She thought to herself, I can't refuse you at this time. And there was a child who threatened me that if she was allowed to go, if there was something wrong with her identity, Hogwarts would have to be inspected by the Ministry of Magic. The most important thing is that Ann thought about it and thought that the danger of taking the Philosopher's Stone is mainly concentrated in the face of Professor Quirrell, and the front is not too dangerous.
After Ann agreed to Hermione, Fanny looked at Ann eagerly, as if she was very interested in the upcoming adventure.
Ann decisively suppressed Fanny's idea of taking risks, "Fanny, please pay attention to your identity, adventure is really not suitable for you!"
Fanny lowered her head in frustration, but Ann's next sentence made Fanny excited again, "But there is still a task for you, since Hermione failed to monitor Professor Snape, then this task will be given to you." How are you? This is a daunting task!"
Fanny nodded with bright eyes. All boys and girls of this age hide an adventurous heart, let alone the incident related to the legendary Philosopher's Stone.
"However, as long as you do a good job of monitoring, you can go back to sleep when it's time to go back to sleep, you know?" An added, "You have to promise!"
Fanny pouted, "Well, I promise."
Ann nodded, looked at Hermione, and said softly, "Okay, since it's been decided, let's go now! Can you share some information with me on the way?"
Hermione nodded. When Hermione and An Kuai arrived at the Gryffindor lounge, they happened to meet Harry and Ron standing at the door. They seemed to be planning to go get the Sorcerer's Stone right away.
When the two of them saw Ann, their eyes lit up, and Ann said, "Since you are planning to do it, hurry up! It's almost dark, and it might be possible to go back to sleep now! Hermione was on the way with me I mentioned some situations, but I don’t think it’s Professor Snape who wants to steal the Philosopher’s Stone, I think it’s Professor Quirrell! I’ll talk to the three-headed dog for details!”
The four ran towards the fourth floor, and when they approached the fourth floor, they became cautious, but Filch was usually eating at this time, and he would not stay on the fourth floor all day.
Seeing that no one was there, Ann muttered in a low voice, "It's a good start!"
It's just that when they reached the door of the three-headed dog's room on the fourth floor, they didn't feel that way. The door had already opened. The four of them hurried in, the three-headed big dog Lu Wei was sleeping, and there was a violin playing automatically by its big feet.
"Oops! Snape must have gone in!" Harry exclaimed in a low voice.
An was speechless, but she knew that seeing is believing many things, and she didn't explain much. She looked at the three of them seriously, "The next adventure is very dangerous, and you may face a professor! Are you sure?" Ann wanted to make the last struggle.
It's just that all three nodded, and Ann had to say, "Okay, Harry, you and Ron go and move Lu Wei's foot on the trap door." I don't want to move that thing.
Harry and Ron nodded and complied, and Hermione looked at Ann as if asking what she was going to do.
"You go and observe that violin, and if it stops, you will notify me immediately!" Hermione nodded.
Harry and Ron moved Lu Wei's feet away and opened the trapdoor. Ann walked to the trapdoor and pulled out her wand from the inside of her robe. There was a gentle white light, and she thrust her wand into the dark opening, into which there was no bottom.
Ann retracted her wand and asked, "It may be very deep down here, which one of you wants to go down first?"
Harry took a step forward, "I'm going, I was the one who proposed to come here, if something happens to me later, you should hurry up and notify Dumbledore, don't come down!"
Ron rubbed his hands and replied, "Okay!" Hermione glared at Ron, then looked at Ann, as if she wanted Ann to say something.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine! Go down and check the situation first!" Ann said briefly.
Harry jumped directly from the hole, and after a while his voice came from the hole, "No problem, it's a soft landing, you can come down!"
Ann looked at Ron, and Ron jumped down too. After Ron jumped down, Ann said to Hermione, "I'll go down first, and remember to close the trapdoor when you jump down later, okay?"
After getting an affirmative reply, Ann jumped down, followed by Hermione.
"What is this?" Ron yelled after falling.
"I don't know, but it should be a plant. Fortunately, this plant is here!" Harry replied to Ron.
Ann felt like she had fallen onto a limp plant, but then she felt something was wrong, and two tendrils wrapped around her hand holding her wand, "Oh, damn it! Luckily what! It's the Devil's Snare! Hermione! Get one!" Fire or light or something! My hands are tied!"
Hermione drew out her wand, waved it, and muttered something, and a flame in the shape of a blue bellflower shot out of her wand.A few seconds later, Ann could clearly feel the plant shrinking back. It seemed to hate flames.
Ann, Harry, and Ron all broke free from the shackles of the devil's net and came to Hermione's side.
"Fortunately, we have a master of herbalism and a wizard who can emit flames." Ron sighed.
Harry pointed to an arched stone corridor that appeared in front of him, and said to the three, "There are still a few levels waiting for us."
Walking into the stone corridor, they heard the sound of water dripping slowly along the walls in addition to their own footsteps. The stone corridor descended downhill, and as they approached the exit of the corridor, Ron asked softly, "Can you hear anything?".
They listened attentively. There seemed to be a soft rustling and clanging sound coming from ahead.
Ron asked again, "Could it be a ghost?" Harry replied, "I don't know...it sounds like wings flapping."
Hermione added, "There's a light ahead - I see something moving."
When they came to the end of the corridor, they found a brightly lit room with a high vaulted ceiling.Countless little birds, as dazzling as jewels, flapped their wings and flew around the room. There was a heavy wooden door on the opposite side of the room.
"You mean they're going to attack us if we walk across the room?" Ron asked.
Ann glanced at the little bird flying in the room, and replied, "No, don't you notice what that little bird looks like?"
The three looked at it carefully for a while, and Harry suddenly said, "Like a key! A key with wings!"
"Well, it should be, but let's go and have a look first..." An said as he walked across the room to the wooden door.
Hermione cast an Arahoropening spell on the wooden door lock, but the lock didn't respond.
Ron looked carefully at the keyhole of the door, "Looks like we need an antique key!"
Harry looked around every corner of the room, and he noticed the three broomsticks in the corner, "Yes, you see! Broomsticks! We can ride on them and grab the key to that door!"
"Okay, Hermione, you stay at the door, the three of us go up." The other three had no objection to Ann's arrangement.
Each of them grabbed a broom, kicked their feet, rose into the air, and rushed into the dense array of keys.
"We've got to make sure!" Ron exclaimed.
Harry's reputation as the youngest Quidditch Seeker in a century is not for nothing. He has great skill in finding flying objects.Soon he noticed, amidst the swirl of colorful little wings, a large silver key with its wings drooping, as if it had been grabbed and roughly shoved into the keyhole.
"That's it!" he called to Ron and Ann. "There's the big key, the one with the sky-blue wings! The feathers are all on the side."
Ron sprinted so fast in the direction Harry was pointing that he hit his head on the ceiling and almost fell off his broomstick.
'We've got to surround it!', Harry shouted, keeping his eyes on the key with the broken wing. 'Ron, you block it from above!Ann, you stay below, don't let it fly down!I'll catch it.Alright, let's start now!"
Ron dived down, Ann jumped up, and the key dodged to avoid them both up and down.
Harry followed closely. The key flew swiftly toward the wall, and Harry lunged forward, pressing the key against the stone wall with one hand with an unpleasant creak.Ron and Hermione's cheers echoed in the high room.
They landed quickly, and Harry ran for the door, the key still struggling in his hand.He pushed it into the keyhole, gave it a hard twist, and yes, it was it.
With a click, the door opened.

Alas, bad friend!
