HP meets at Hogwarts
Chapter 46 The Protection of Fantastic Beasts
After lunch, Fanny and Ann left the castle and across the soft grass in front of the castle, they were going to Hagrid's cottage for their first lesson in Care of Magical Creatures.
When the two of them reached the cottage, they discovered that the lesson was with Gryffindors. "Wow, Ann, we have classes with Ron, Harry and Hermione pretty much all Monday..." Fanny said happily.
"Fanny, it's not necessarily good news..." Ann looked at Malfoy, Goyle, Crabbe and Pansy gathered together beside the cabin and giggled.
"Okay. Malfoy and the others will definitely quarrel with Harry and the others later..." Fanny had a accustomed expression.
When all the students had arrived, Hagrid, in his moleskin coat, took Fang, his hound, and yelled, "Come on, hurry up! There's something good for you today! There's something exciting coming soon!" A lesson! Is everyone here? Okay, come with me!"
Hagrid led the group along the edge of the woods, and five minutes later they were outside what looked like a paddock. But there is nothing there.
"Come up to this fence, everyone!" cried Hagrid. "That's right... stand where you can see it. Now, the first thing you have to do is open your books..."
"How to open it," said Draco Malfoy in his cold, drawn-out tone. "Yeah," said Hagrid.
"How do we open books?" Malfoy repeated. He took out his <Book of Monsters of Monsters>, which he had tied up with a string.
Feeling that Malfoy obviously wanted to spoil Hagrid's first lesson, Harry took the book and said loudly, "Just stroke the spine of this book lightly, and it will quiet down and let you open it." Riley's hand slid up and down the spine of the book and opened it.
Hagrid gave Harry a grateful look, and Malfoy gave Harry a hard look, which Harry ignored.
After the whole class opened the book, Hagrid said happily, "You turn to page 95 of the book, there is an introduction to the Hippogriff, and then you wait here."
He left the students and went into the woods. After a while it was out of sight. After a while, some of the students started screaming.
Ann looked up to the other side of the paddock, and twelve weird guys were walking towards them quickly. They have the body, hind legs, and tail of a horse, but their front legs, wings, and head appear to be that of an eagle, with sharp steel-colored beaks and large bright orange eyes. The claws on their front legs are half a foot long and look deadly.
Around each beast's neck was a thickly feathered collar, to which was fastened a long chain, and the ends of these chains were held in one large hand by Hagrid, who trotted after the animals to paddock.
"Go over there!" he yelled, shaking the chain, and yelled at these guys to come over to the fence where the class stood.Everyone backed away a little as Hagrid approached and chained the guys to the fence.
"Hippogriffs!" growled Hagrid happily. "They're pretty, aren't they?"
"Well," said Hagrid, rubbing his hands together and smiling at the class, "if you want to get closer..." But no one seemed to want to get near them, and no one in the class spoke. An Xin thought, it's too fast to directly touch the real thing after just reading the book.
"Well, the first thing you have to know about hippogriffs is that they're proud," Hagrid continued, "and it's easy to offend them. Never offend a hippogriff." Beast, because that's probably the last thing you want to do."
"You always wait for the hippogriff to make the move first," said Hagrid. "It's polite, you know, you walk up to it, you bow, and you wait. If it bows back to you, you just You can touch it now. If it doesn't bow, get away from it quickly, because these claws are going to hurt people." Hagrid continued to explain, and when the explanation was over, Hagrid happily asked loudly, "Okay! Who will come first?" "
The monsters were shaking their heads angrily and spreading their mighty wings; they didn't seem happy to be restrained like this.
Ann took a step back subconsciously, and then she found that she was not the only one who did this, almost the whole class took a step back, even Harry, Ron, and Hermione felt scared and did not step forward.
"Is there no one?" Hagrid asked, asking.
"I'll do it," said Harry.
Ann heard someone take a deep breath, and both Lavender and Parvati of Gryffindor whispered, "Oh no, Harry, think of your tea!"
Harry ignored them.He climbed over the fence of the paddock.
Fanny held Ann's arm tightly, watching Harry nervously.
"Well done, Harry!" cried Hagrid. "Well - let's see how you get on with that monster called Buckbeak." He undid a chain and pulled Buckbeak from the The companion dragged away and pulled off its leather collar. All the students across the paddock seemed to be holding their breath.
Malfoy's eyes narrowed maliciously. "Relax, all right, Harry," said Hagrid quietly, "you and it have to look at each other, and try not to blink—if you blink too much. The monster doesn't trust you..." Harry's eyes would Weeping, but he didn't close his eyes.Buckbeak had turned his large, pointed head and was looking at Harry with one furious orange eye.
"That's right," said Hagrid, "that's right, Harry...now, bow..." Harry bowed slightly, then straightened up to look.
The monster still looked at him hostilely. It doesn't move.
"Ah," said Hagrid, sounding worried. "Okay - back off, now. Harry, back off relaxed -"
But at this moment, the monster suddenly bent its scaly front knees and sank, obviously bowing.
"Well done, Harry!" said Hagrid ecstatically. "Yes! You can touch him now! Pat its beak, clap!"
Harry felt that if he didn't shoot, a better gift would be lost.He walked slowly towards the monster, and reaching out to it, patted its beak several times. The monster closed its eyes lazily, as if it liked it very much.
Most of the class applauded, with the exception of Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, who looked disappointed.
"Well, Harry," said Hagrid, "I think he might like to let you ride him."
Harry put one foot on Buckbeak's wing and climbed onto his back.Buckbeak stood up.
"Go on!" cried Hagrid, patting the monster on the rear.
Without warning, twelve-foot wings spread out on either side of Harry; Harry caught the monster's neck in time as it flew upward.
Buckbeak flew him around the paddock before returning to the ground.
"Well done, Harry!" cried Hagrid, to cheers from everyone except Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle. "Okay, who wants to try"
Seeing that Harry had succeeded, Fanny drew Ann joyfully, and followed most of them cautiously over the fence and into the paddock.
Hagrid untied the chains one by one, and Fanny and Ann got a sorrel hippogriff, and Ann managed to get its bow, and so did Fanny. An walked up to the monster, which was no more than one floor tall, and patted its beak, and the monster rubbed gently against Ann's palm.
Fanny was stroking its feathers, and she smiled excitedly at Ann, "Ann, it feels very comfortable to touch..." Ann nodded with a smile.
But not everyone respects these magical creatures.
Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle take Buckbeak. It bowed to Malfoy, who was patting its beak in disgust.
"It's easy," Malfoy drawled, loud enough for most of the students to hear, "if Potter could do it, I know it must be pretty easy... I bet you don't Dangerous. Aren't you" he said to the monster, "you're not dangerous, you big ugly beast"
Fanny exclaimed, and Ann murmured something stupid.
Malfoy let out a squeal when he had finished speaking, as Buckbeak smacked Malfoy's arm with his steel-gray claw.
Hagrid hurried past the other monster, and managed to slip Buckbeak back into its collar, which was still struggling to pounce on Malfoy, who curled up in a ball on the grass. There were blood spots on the robe.
"I'm dying!" Malfoy yelled. "I'm dying, look! It's killing me!"
"You're not going to die!" said Hagrid, looking extremely pale. "Somebody help me—he's got to get out of here—"
Hermione ran to open the gate, and Hagrid lifted Malfoy easily and ran towards the castle.
As they walked by, most of the students could see a deep, long gash in Malfoy's arm, bleeding onto the grass.
The whole class followed behind the two, and the students in the two classes almost quarreled. "They should fire him right away!" Pansy Parkinson said, tears streaming down her face. "It's Malfoy's fault!" snapped Dean Thomas.Crabbe and Goyle flexed their muscles threateningly.
Ann followed behind the line without saying a word, while Fanny and the other two Slytherin girls were comforting Pansy.
We climbed the stone steps to the empty vestibule.
"I'm going to see if he's all right!" Pansy choked out as she followed the two up the marble stairs.
The students in Slytherin House were still talking about Hagrid, and they walked towards their common room in the main building of the castle; Ann originally planned to go back to the dormitory, but she only took a step or two in the direction of the dormitory before being stopped by Fanny up.
Fanny pointed in the direction of the Gryffindor students, where the protagonist trio was winking.Ann was dragged by Fanny to a side hall next to the front hall.
"You said he'd be fine," said Hermione nervously. "Of course it'll be all right, Madam Pomfrey can sew up the wound in about a second," said Harry.
"But he bled a lot, and you also saw a long gash on his arm. At the end of last semester, his arm was healed for a week. Is that okay?" Fanny retorted angrily.
Ann glanced at Fanny, and her eyes signaled why she brought me up again.
"But it's different, whoever told Malfoy to say that about Buckbeak deserves it," said Ron.
Fanny glared at Ron, and said angrily, "Although Malfoy is usually a bit annoying, he is really hurt! He speaks badly, but it shouldn't be like this, and you have seen it too, if it wasn't for Hegara who stopped Buck Piccolo, it still wants to slap its paw at Malfoy!"
"Malfoy is also a bit annoying? Is it a lot?" Ron muttered.Fanny glared at him.
"Hagrid just wanted to do his first lesson well, and I guarantee he didn't expect this to happen," said Harry.
"But it has already happened, Hagrid won't be fired, right?" Hermione asked.Ron immediately answered, "I think Malfoy will tell his dad, and then he will make a mess of things..."
The four of them didn't speak for a while, and secretly looked at Ann who was silent.
"Why are you looking at me again..." An was full of helplessness, "How do I know if Hagrid will be fired..."
Both Hermione and Fanny looked at Ann with disbelief, and Fanny tugged at Ann's sleeve, "Ann, don't hide it..."
Looking at it like this, it’s impossible not to say, so Ann had no choice but to say, "... Hagrid got in the first class rashly, and he only let us read the book for a while before pulling the Hippogriff out..."
The four of them immediately became tense, for fear that Hagrid would be fired if Ann said nothing.
"But he won't be expelled. Dumbledore won't let Hagrid be expelled after only one class. Besides, Malfoy is indeed at fault in this matter..."
The four breathed a sigh of relief, and Ann said, "Although Hagrid will be fine, there must be something to bear the consequences of this matter, otherwise the Malfoy family will not give up..."
"Ann, do you mean Buckbeak?" Hermione asked.Ann nodded, "I think you can talk to Hagrid to prepare him mentally. Oh, by the way, remember what Dumbledore said at the start-of-school banquet. Don't forget."
After Ann and Fanny had left, Ron said to Harry, "Is she trying to remind us that Dumbledore said no one should leave the school without permission?" Hermione immediately said, "That's what Ann meant. "
