HP meets at Hogwarts

Chapter 61 Methods

Divination class on Monday morning, in a dimly lit, stuffy tower room.On each little table glowed a crystal ball filled with a pearly mist.

"Didn't you learn the crystal ball next semester?" Ann asked Fanny, taking her usual seat.

Fanny put the book on the table and sat down. "That means we're done with palmistry, doesn't it?"

"That makes sense..." Ann muttered and opened the book to the chapter on the crystal ball.

"Hello!" said the familiar indistinct voice, and Professor Trelawney came in from the shadows as usual.Ann noticed Parvati and Lavender (Gryffindor third-years) shaking with excitement in the front row of the room, their faces illuminated by the milky light of the crystal ball.

"I've decided to start the crystal ball class a little earlier than originally planned." Professor Trelawney said as she sat down, with her back to the fire in the fireplace, and looked around after sitting down. "Fate has informed me that your exams in May will be about spheres, so I am anxious to give you enough practice."

Hermione snorted in disdain.

"Well, seriously...'Fate has told her'.. who gave the exam questions, she! Such a prophecy is amazing!" said Hermione, trying not to lower her voice.

Fanny glanced at Ann, and Ann shook her head. Anyway, this is not the first time Hermione has spoken to Professor Trelawney.

It was difficult to say whether Professor Trelawney heard her, for her face was hidden in shadow. She continued, however, as if she hadn't heard.

"Looking at a crystal ball is a very delicate art," she said dreamily. "You are peering into this unfathomable sphere for the first time, and I don't expect any of you to see anything. We should start from Practice relaxing the subjective consciousness and the outer eye to begin. Doing so will clarify the sky and the superconscious. If we are lucky, some of you may be able to see something before class is over."

"You can start observing now.."

So they started. An Shan stared at the crystal ball with her head on one hand and started to stare in a daze. Fanny flipped through the book seriously and glanced at the crystal ball from time to time.

Harry, whispers came from Ron and Hermione's table, and the words "wasting time" could be faintly heard.

Professor Trelawney stood up from her seat with a rustle in her dress.

"Would anyone like me to help explain what's looming in their crystal ball?" She moved, her bracelets crackling.

"I don't need help," whispered Ron. "It's clear there's going to be fog this morning."

Both Harry and Hermione burst out laughing.

"Now, really!" said Professor Trelawney, with heads turned in their direction, "you're messing with the vibes of the clairvoyant!" She approached their table, and looked at their crystal ball.

"There's something here!" whispered Professor Trelawney. She moved her face closer to the crystal ball, and her big glasses reflected two crystal balls. "Something is moving.. but what is it"

Fanny silently mouthed Ann, which was definitely not good news.

really.

"My dear..." Professor Trelawney gasped and looked at Harry, "From here, it is clearer than ever...my dear, striding towards you, getting closer and closer. .that's ominous.."

"Oh, for God's sake!" cried Hermione, "don't be so ridiculously ominous again!"

Professor Trelawney lifted her huge eyes to Hermione's face, eyeing Hermione with obvious annoyance.

"I regret to say that from the moment you entered the class it was evident that you did not possess the qualities required for the noble art of divination. Indeed, I do not remember a single student I have met with such a worldly mind."

A moment of silence.

Fanny glanced at Ann in surprise, but what happened next made Fanny even more surprised.

"Okay!" Hermione said suddenly, stood up, and stuffed the book "Seeing the Future Through the Fog" into her schoolbag. "Fine!" she repeated, throwing her schoolbag over her shoulder and nearly knocking Ron out of his chair.

"I give up! I'm going!" To the amazement of the class, Hermione strode to the floor door, kicked it open, and disappeared down the stairs.

Ann stared at the place where Hermione disappeared, and it was obvious that the whole class did not foresee such a thing, and the whole classroom was full of discussions.

Go after it.A voice sounded in Ann's heart, and her body turned involuntarily. As long as she stood up and took two steps, she could reach the open floor door.

Realizing this thought, Ann frowned, turned back, and faced the table and books.Fanny touched Ann's arm, pouted her chin and gestured towards the floor door, and asked in a low voice, "Ann, are you going?"

"Why do you want to go?" Ann muttered, "Her two good friends are sitting..."

Fanny glanced at Ron and Harry, then at the floor door, bowed her head, flipped through her book and said nothing.

It took a few minutes for the class to quiet down.Professor Trelawney seemed to have forgotten all about the ominous matter. She left Harry and Ron's table abruptly, drawing her veiled shawl a little tighter, breathing heavily.

"Oh oh!" La Wende suddenly said, starting everyone. "Professor Trelawney, I just remembered! You've seen her go, haven't you, Professor 'Around Easter, one of us will leave us forever!' You have said, professor!"

Professor Trelawney gave her a fresh smile.

"Yes, my dear, I did know for a long time that Miss Granger would leave us. However, people always hope that they will be wrong about the signs of the future...the Celestial Eye can be a burden, you know..."

Lavender and Parvati immediately moved their seats excitedly and sat a little further, their seats were only one step away from Professor Trelawney's chair.

At noon, in the restaurant, Hermione ate as if nothing had happened.

"Ann, are we?"

Ann picked up a glass of milk and took a long gulp before answering Fanny's question, "Hermione is fine without learning divination, and her study pressure can just be relieved..."

In the protection of magical beasts class in the afternoon, Hagrid was in a very low mood, and gave everyone two boxes of sticky larvae of unknown bugs for everyone to feed, so he didn't speak, just stared at his pumpkin patch in a daze.

Malfoy taunted Hagrid loudly again in class, for which the three protagonists almost had a fight with Malfoy, Goyle, and Braque in class.

"Hagrid, Buckbeak's matter can be discussed later, but if Malfoy and the others really fight, I don't think Dumbledore can guarantee that the Protection of Fantastic Beasts class will continue..."

After hearing Ann's words, Hagrid came back to his senses. He realized that Dumbledore still had a lot to worry about. He couldn't let Dumbledore worry about his affairs during this critical period. He stopped the two groups of people in time.

The Slytherin and Gryffindor students were arranged by Hagrid on both sides of the pumpkin patch, one house and one box.

When the bell rang for the end of get out of class, Malfoy glared in the direction of Gryffindor College, and led Goyle, Crabbe, and Pansy away impatiently.

Ann and Fanny stayed after class, after all they had promised to continue helping at the weekend.

As soon as he opened the door and entered the cabin, Hagrid broke down. As soon as he saw Buckbeak on the bed, biting a dead mink and flinging around, he began to sob softly. "It's no use," he said sadly, "it's no use ...that committee was in Lucius Malfoy's pocket.."

Ann, who was thinking that she would be passive and sabotage for a while, heard Hagrid's words, and realized that it might not be necessary.

"Don't give up, Hagrid! We can still appeal!" Hermione urged.

Hagrid sat down on a chair decadently, covered his face with his hands, and sobbed, "But when I saw them in court, I couldn't speak. I forgot all the defenses you gave...I As soon as they opened their mouths, they said one after another... I didn't have a chance to speak at all...it was useless..."

Silence, no one spoke for a while.Several people looked at An, but An shook his head.

"Maybe, why don't we go to Headmaster Dumbledore? He might have a good idea?" Harry suggested.

Hagrid stood up as soon as he heard Dumbledore, shaking his big head vigorously, "No no no! No! He has done a lot to stop the dementors from outside the school, and he helped me keep them The professor's position, we can't go to Buckbeak again..."

After speaking, he began to push a few people out of the house, and said in despair, "I can only guarantee that Buckbeak will live the happiest life in his life...I owe it...thank you for your help... Don't worry about it anymore, you have a lot of things to do too..."

Standing outside the door, Hagrid said loudly to several people, "Go back to school!" and slammed the door shut.

As soon as the door was closed, Ann turned around and walked towards the castle. Fanny glanced at the closed door and followed Ann. The three looked at each other and followed.

"Hey! Shall we just do nothing?" Ron asked Ann, who was at the front of the line, loudly.

Ann raised her hand and waved it.

Hermione frowned, she quickened her pace to catch up with Ann, and stood side by side with Ann, "Ann, you said you would think of a way?"

"That's right, I said that appealing is the only way at present, but Hagrid doesn't want us to continue helping him. For a person who doesn't want to be helped, my suggestion is not to do useless work."

Hermione pursed her mouth tightly, looking very angry, staring at Ann with suspicious eyes.

Subconsciously avoided making eye contact, but she didn't expect that the other party would stop her in front of her. An was inexplicably guilty, so she could only speak hesitantly, "You can help Hagrid submit an appeal document to the Ministry of Magic first. Then slowly persuade Hagrid..."

Hermione's eyes lit up, but she immediately asked another question, "This is without Hagrid's consent..."

You asked me how to do it, and I answered it, but you still hate it!

Ann was a little furious, and said angrily, "I'm sorry, this is the best way I can think of as a Slytherin. As for the way to get the best of both worlds, please let you good students of Gryffindor think about it for yourself..."

After speaking, he walked around Hermione with a big stride.Fanny witnessed the whole process from the side. Before catching up with Ann, she secretly explained to Hermione, "She's not angry..."

"I know." Hermione also whispered back to Fanny. They looked at each other and smiled, and Fanny ran after Ann.

"What were you three talking about just now?" Ron and Harry stepped forward. They had just chatted a few words, but they were so far away from the three girls unexpectedly.

"Ann came up with a new way for us..." Hermione said to the two with a smile.
