Chapter 17 The Truth

"Lumos!" whispered Harry.

Harry trudged through the dangling branches of the Whomping Willow.Crookshanks lunged forward, resting his front paws on a knot in the trunk, and the Whomping Willow stopped.Harry walked up to the tree trunk and climbed into the hole, picking up as fast as he could. After a while, the tunnel began to rise, and after a while, Harry could see a faint ray of light.

Harry stopped and took a deep breath. He told himself, 'Calm down, Harry!clam down! You and Draco have made the best plans, and soon you will be living with Sirius.Oh Merlin!Draco? Harry raised his wand and looked around, until he felt someone reaching out and tugging at the hem of his clothes before he relaxed. He thought Draco hadn't kept up!Harry analyzed with his remaining rationality, it seems that Remus has already caught up.Thinking of this, Harry breathed a sigh of relief, since he found out that the Marauder's Map was missing, he mentioned Scabbers from time to time when he was learning the Patronus Charm with Remus, and he could see that Remus had begun to suspect Scabbers.Fortunately, Harry thought, based on what he had discussed with Draco, it would be too bad for them for him to take Sirius to Headmaster Dumbledore.

Harry gathered himself together, wand raised, and walked into the Shrieking Shack.Harry heard a 'snap' and turned quickly, and the figure in the shadows closed the door behind him.His hair was messy, and he was so thin that only a handful of bones remained.Harry looked at him sadly, and finally met, Sirius!

"Disarm!" Sirius said hoarsely.Harry let go of his wand, and Sirius picked it up.Then Sirius took a step forward. He stared at Harry and said hoarsely, "I didn't expect you to come. You're brave enough to do so much for a friend's pet!"

'No, I'm for you! ' Harry retorted in his mind, urging himself by the way, 'Ask, Harry.Quickly ask!You have to ask that, even if Sirius would be sad. ' But no matter what, he couldn't open his mouth, he didn't want to peel off the scars in Sirius' heart, he shouldn't bear those.

Then, Harry felt someone poke his waist hard, "Ah!"

"What's the matter?" Sirius asked vigilantly, "What's the matter with you?"

Now he had to speak, Harry gritted his teeth, "Are you Sirius Black? Did you kill my parents?"

Sirius stared at Harry with his sunken eyes, and said calmly, "I don't deny that, but if you know the whole story..."

"Tell me!" said Harry eagerly. Then he felt his waist being poked again, but he had no time to worry about it now.

"Yes, speak up." The door of the room was opened again, and Lupine walked into the room with a bloodless face and his wand raised, "What the hell is going on, Sirius?"

Sirius had no expression on his face.He raised his hand very slowly and pointed to Scabbers under Crookshanks' paw.

Lupine took a closer look at Banban, his eyes were complicated, but his voice was calm, "It's really you, Peter."

Harry waited quietly until Sirius and Lupine calmed down.

Lupine turned. "Sorry, Harry. I kept you waiting."

"No..." Harry felt being poked again as soon as he opened his mouth, and immediately changed his words, "Professor Lupine, you and him...?"

"Yes, I want to explain," Lupine said. "I saw you just now, Harry. At Hagrid's door."

"Yes." Harry was stunned for a moment, then his face turned pale, and he asked a question that no one had thought of, "Professor Lupine, have you taken your medicine today?"

Lupine also turned pale. "You know? How do you know?"

Harry thought for a while, and reluctantly borrowed Hermione's words, "Professor Snape assigned the paper."

"Yes, Harry, you are a clever boy, just like your father." Lupine said with some nostalgia, "Yes, I drank the medicine and saw you coming out of Hagrid's hut from the window. It was getting dark Now, I was a little worried, so I came out to look for you, and I happened to see you crawling into the hole under the Whomping Willow."

"So," Harry had to bite the bullet, "the ghost in the screaming shed..."

"There's no ghost in the Screaming Shack," said Lupine calmly. "It's always been me."

Harry's expression became complicated, he looked at the two of them, "Then how did my dad... die?" Draco, you bastard, you keep poking at one place!

Sirius' expression twisted, and he rushed towards Scabbers, Crookshanks pressed his paw tightly to prevent him from escaping.

"Sirius!" Lupine stopped, "We have to explain all this to Harry first!"

Sirius stopped struggling, but his sunken eyes were still fixed on Scabbers, "Okay then, but hurry up. People once imprisoned me for murder, and now I'm going to commit murder."

Lupine began a long narration, and Harry heard the truth again. But this time, there was no doubt or anger in his heart, and he even imagined his future life with Sirius while listening.

When Lupine's narration came to an end, Harry came back to his senses, "I don't know if I should believe you, it's different from what everyone said."

"Then it's about time we gave you some evidence," Sirius approached Lupine and the struggling mouse, "together?"

Sirius and Lupine raised their wands and together cast an anti-Animagus spell on Scabbers.Peter Pettigrew appeared in front of everyone.

Harry feigned shock, took a deep breath, and suppressed the anger in his heart. He told himself that Peter would definitely be punished this time!He said, "So, he betrayed my parents?"

"Yes," Sirius said hoarsely, "trust me. I never betrayed James and Lily. I would rather die than betray them."

Harry's eyes watered, and he wanted to throw himself at Sirius, but he couldn't.His throat was choked, unable to speak, he could only nod his head vigorously.

"No!" Peter Pettigrew wailed as he struggled between the ropes.

Harry looked at him, thinking of the guy who had a good idea but was strangled to death by silver hands in the homeless seventh year.He stopped him and said, "You can't kill him!"

"Why not?! Of course we can!" Sirius roared. "He killed James and Lily!"

"Send him to Azkaban." Harry said coldly, "That's where he should be, and that's the punishment he deserves!"

Sirius sneered: "Why bother?! I can let him be punished right now!"

"What about you?" Harry finally couldn't help roaring, "What will happen to you after you kill him? Will you live in the form of an Animagus forever? Or hide alone in a place where no one knows?" You have to sneak around even when you go out?! Have you ever thought about clearing up your grievances?" Harry thought of Sirius' understatement, "I almost live on eating rats"; he thought of Sirius' firm look at "Fulfilling my godfather's duties," he said; he remembered Sirius asking him, would you like to have a home?And... and the final curtain... He said with a trembling voice, "I hope you can live a fair and honest life!"

Sirius was stunned, he seemed to have never thought about this, so he stood there helplessly, looking at Lupine as if asking for help.

Lupine opened his mouth after receiving the distressed look, "Yes, we didn't expect this." He took a deep breath, "We didn't expect this! Harry, you are right, we should send him to Go to Azkaban."

Harry stared at them closely, afraid to miss a word of his.

Sirius opened his mouth, he scratched his head irritably, and compromised: "Okay, okay! Let's send him to Azkaban!"

Lupine breathed a sigh of relief, he looked at Harry, "Look, Harry, we have reached an agreement." He seemed a little embarrassed and said, "Can you stop crying?"

cry?

when did he cry?

Harry froze, he reached out and touched his cheek, which was wet.

It turned out that before he knew it, he had already burst into tears...

The three of them suddenly fell into silence, and the atmosphere was so awkward that they didn't know how to speak.

Harry wiped away his tears carelessly with his hands, his cheeks flushed slightly, "Really, why are you crying at this age..."

At this moment, Harry resisted the urge to rub his waist, feeling the words Draco wrote on his back, "Professor Lupine you... are you? When will you be? Um... you know .”

Lupine froze for a moment, "You reminded me, Harry. It should be soon!"

"Then we can wait until tomorrow," Harry hurriedly said what Draco told him, "we can take Peter and Sirius to Headmaster Dumbledore when you are well tomorrow, and they can use the Animag Go in in the form of Si."

"Why wait for tomorrow!" Sirius dissatisfied, "I can send him there now."

"But Professor Lupine can't go out now," Harry explained, "and I have no way to find Professor Dumbledore, I can't find him."

"Harry is right, Sirius," Lupine said calmly. "Harry won't be able to find the headmaster immediately, no one will believe him, he is too young. Besides, Harry should stay in the castle tonight." Right."

"Well, well, you're right." Sirius nodded and grinned, "Come on, Moonface. How long has it been since we spent the full moon together?"

Lupine laughed, "I'm afraid it's been a long time."

"Then I'll go back first," Harry said, "I will stay in the dormitory obediently tomorrow."

"Oh!" Sirius held out his hand. "Your wand, Harry!"

"No." Harry took a step back, "You can use it, Sirius! We've already finished the exam, so you can return it to me tomorrow."

"No, Harry. Listen to Sirius and take your wand away, it's not safe out there now. Be careful!" Lupine ordered.

"It's okay, I'm wearing an invisibility cloak." Harry took the wand, "No one will notice."

Harry walked in the dark passage in silence, and finally couldn't help asking softly, "Draco?"

"……I am here."

Relieved, Harry asked, "Is this really okay? I mean, you know, Fudge wouldn't want to admit it."

"That depends on what you say." Draco said calmly, "I remember you said that Black was tried and imprisoned by Crouch."

"Yes." Harry reached out and groped for a bit, and hid in the invisibility cloak, "Sirius told me himself, there is no trial, just go to jail."

The two climbed out of the cave carefully and walked towards the castle.

"Then I'm sure this plan will be successful." Draco said, "Barty Crouch is still very prestigious now, and an unjust case came from him, which Fudge would like to see."

Harry asked in confusion, "But last time...?"

"I'm afraid he didn't think of this at all last time, but it's another matter if someone reminds him." Draco showed a fleeting smile.

"That's right." Harry shrugged. "I'm afraid he was only thinking about how to defend against Professor Dumbledore last time. Hey! Why are you looking at me like that? I'm not stupid."

"Indeed." Draco said slowly, "However, it's hard to imagine you paying attention to this aspect."

What does 'indeed' mean?Harry rolled his eyes silently, "I also noticed it in sixth year, when Scrimgeour invited me to do a promotion for the Ministry of Magic or something."

"Oh." Draco nodded, "I knew you wouldn't take the initiative to think about such things."

Harry wanted to say something, but looking at the door in front of him, he could only shrug his shoulders, expressing his helplessness at having to come into contact with such a thing. He sent Draco back to the cellar first, and then returned to the tower wearing the cloak of invisibility.
