Chapter 23 Invitation Letter
Looking at the various invitations in front of him, Harry scratched his hair in trouble.Early this morning, Harry received a letter from Draco and a double-sided mirror. In addition to the routine greetings, the letter also euphemistically expressed dissatisfaction with not receiving the invitation to the birthday party. Feel quite a headache.
Harry has never understood these aristocratic etiquettes of reciprocity, nor can he play those intrigues and tricks, and can't see the false and implied meanings of coming and going. He has never touched these things.Sirius never cared about this, and his friends even less so.Therefore, even though he was once the savior who defeated Voldemort, he never cared about these matters. He knows he can't do well!Later, Draco took over these. And Harry had always trusted him with all this, trusting unconditionally in the defector who had killed Dumbledore. Not that no one had objected, his two best friends, Ron and Hermione, being the most vocal opponents, but Harry still believed him.Draco never betrayed his trust either. He can handle these tasks that make Hermione burnt out every time.
But now Draco can't do this instead of him, Harry had to take out the double-sided mirror and ask for help, "Draco..."
"What's wrong?" Draco responded, "What happened?"
"It's still about the invitation letter..." Harry blinked pitifully, and turned his body backward, revealing the table behind him and the pile of invitation letters on the table, "Which one should I choose? What's the difference between them? "
Draco looked at the pile of invitations through the double-sided mirror, and opened his mouth, "Merlin!"
"It's not my fault!" Harry explained, "I just told Kreacher I was going to write the invitation, and then..."
"He probably brought all the invitation letter templates from the Black family!" Draco said.
"What kind of birthday party invitations are those?" Harry staggered the pile of invitations as far as possible so that a little bit of each one could be seen.
"Actually," Draco said lightly, "The ones near your left hand are the invitations to the birthday party. These invitations should be sorted by themselves."
Harry was shocked, "Are there so many kinds of birthday party invitations?"
"Of course, each one is different." Draco explained, "The birthday person's gender, age, status in the family are different, and the inviter is different. For example, the guests you invite, and your godfather Invited guests will use two similar but different invitations."
"Oh." Harry said calmly, "tell me which one to use this time. You will continue to be responsible for this kind of thing in the future."
The corner of Draco's mouth twitched, but a smile flashed in his eyes, and he replied slowly: "Oh."
It was already an hour later when Harry finished writing the invitation letter. There are four servings. For the Weasleys, for Hermione, and for Draco and...Professor Snape.
Harry sighed: "Write an invitation letter to Professor Snape and ask him to come to my birthday party. Merlin!"
"Okay!" Draco rolled his eyes, "Just to let them know we're on good terms now."
"But..." Harry still felt awkward, "Professor Snape...Merlin!" Harry didn't say anything more, he felt that this title already represented everything!
All right!Draco also felt very wrong, but... well, it proves that their return can change the past, doesn't it?
"Okay," Draco said, looking at Harry who was still sighing, "don't forget to send them."
"Then I'll post it now?" Harry asked. "Isn't it a bit early?"
"It's already late." Draco said, "Usually it's ten days in advance. But it's just a small party, and it's reasonable to send the invitation letter five or seven days in advance." He turned a corner and despised Gryffindor College, and he couldn't think of it.When they came back, Harry hadn't arrived, and the previous 17 years... huh!
"What a nuisance!" Harry grumbled. "Draco, I can't wait to announce to everyone that we're reconciled!"
"So that I can handle these things for you in an open and aboveboard manner." Draco raised his eyebrows and sarcastically said, "Use your brain once in a while, Potter!"
"Draco..." Harry looked at him innocently.
Draco was silent for a while, "Your godfather learned this before."
"I know!" Harry's eyes were full of smiles, "But, I'm just used to leaving these things to you."
Dear Mr. Weasley:
July 31, 14 is my 12th birthday. I would like to hold a birthday party at [-] Grimmauld Place. I sincerely invite you and your family to attend.
Looking forward to seeing you and your family, thank you.
Yours, Harry.
"Dad, what did Harry say?" Ron looked at the letter in his father's hand and asked anxiously. You must know that he came down from upstairs as soon as he saw Hedwig, and it turned out that Harry's letter was written to his father.
"Harry invited us all to his birthday party," replied Mr. Weasley, who turned and shouted into the kitchen, "Molly darling! Harry invited us to his birthday party!"
"What?" Mrs. Weasley came out of the kitchen. "All of us?"
"Yes." Mr. Weasley shook the invitation letter in his hand, "Harry wrote an invitation letter to invite our family."
"Of course." Mrs. Weasley smiled, "Tell him we will go and bring him a big cake!"
"Of course." Mr. Weasley smiled too. "I'll write back and tell him now."
Harry actually wrote the invitation? !Such a Slytherin thing, it's incredible!Ron felt that he was so surprised that he was expressionless. He blinked and secretly reminded himself that when Errol sent a letter back, he must remember to send a letter to Hermione!Something was wrong with Harry waking up after being knocked out by a dementor, and now it seems to be even weirder!
Dear Hermione:
July 31, 14 is my 12th birthday. I would like to hold a birthday party at [-] Grimmauld Place, and I sincerely invite you to attend.
Looking forward to your arrival, thank you.
Yours, Harry.
"Oh!" Hermione looked at the invitation letter in her hand in surprise, blinked in disbelief, and carefully read the inscription again, before taking a pen to reply.
Dear Harry,
I am very happy to be invited by you!I am very much looking forward to your birthday party and will definitely be there on time.Congrats again on getting a godfather!
Yours, Hermione.
PS: Can you tell me how to get to [-] Grimmauld Place?
Sirius looked at the owls coming and going at home, and couldn't help asking curiously, "Harry, are you busy today?"
"Well, these are the replies to my invitation letter from everyone." Harry took off the letter from the owl's foot while explaining, and glanced at it, "This letter is from Neville."
Sirius asked in surprise, "Invitation letter?"
"Yes!" Harry nodded, "I invite everyone to my birthday party."
Sirius' face darkened, and he asked angrily, "That Malfoy asked you to write it, didn't he?!"
Harry blinked and smiled flatteringly at Sirius, "It's just a courtesy!" Then he changed the subject and asked, "Sirius, Hermione asked her how to come here?"
"Hmph!" Sirius snorted dissatisfiedly, and replied, "She can come from the fireplace in Diagon Alley!"
"Okay!" Harry pulled out a piece of parchment, "I'll write to her right now!"
Sirius suppressed his anger and glanced at the table, "Which one is from that little poisonous snake?"
"The longest one." Harry twitched the corners of his mouth. When he saw the long reply letter, he thought Draco had something to explain, but after reading the letter, he found that the contents were completely It can be summed up in one sentence.
"He promised to come to my birthday party." Harry swallowed, took a cautious look at Sirius, and continued, "With...well, Professor Snape..."
"Oh." Sirius responded casually. Suddenly, he froze for a moment and asked, "With whom?"
"...Professor Snape." Harry whispered, he couldn't bear to look at Sirius' face anymore.
"...Snape?" Sirius repeated, asking, "The Snape we all know?"
Harry bit the bullet and nodded, "Yeah, that's...Professor Snape..."
"I... um!" Sirius jumped up from the chair, and was about to yell at him when Lupine, who had been watching, covered his mouth and snatched him away.
Harry watched Lupine smile and take Sirius away with admiration, feeling how little he knew about them in his previous life. However, Harry sighed deeply, it's true that the two of them won't fight directly on the day of the party! How about inviting Headmaster Dumbledore again?Harry sat on the sofa, thinking seriously.
Dear Professor Snape:
July 31, 14 is my 12th birthday. I would like to hold a birthday party at [-] Grimmauld Place, and I sincerely invite you to attend.
Looking forward to your arrival, thank you.
Yours, Harry.
Spider's End Alley was as dark as ever, and there was an old fence at the entrance of the alley, which separated a dirty river from the alley. The river is meandering, weeds are overgrown on both sides, and garbage is piled up.A huge chimney stands alone, gloomy, and looks lonely and lonely.Except for the whimpering of the black river, there was no sign of life around. There are rows of dilapidated brick houses in the alley, and you can see the dim light from the window of the last house.
Several walls in the room are covered with books, most of which are old black or brown leather covers, which look more sinister under the light, like clotted blood.A single candle-lit lamp hung from the ceiling, casting a dim halo in which were crowded together a frayed sofa, an old armchair, and a rickety table.
Snape sat on the sofa, staring blankly at the invitation on the table. He knew his godson better than Sirius Black, and there was no way that Gryffindor lion could have written such a letter, let alone the invitee!Snape recalled the conversation he had had with Dumbledore before the end of term, the old fox seemed certain that things would turn around for Draco and Potter. No one could quite understand what Dumbledore was thinking. But he would go, for his godson, for Lily.
The author has something to say:
I'm revisiting HP's original work this week, which is what I do whenever I have no inspiration for writing. But this time is the time I have read the original book the most, and it is also the time I spent the longest time reading, pure reading, without any other factors. This time, I waited until the end of the sixth part before I had the desire to create.Because I got a new understanding. To be honest, the last time I read the original work systematically was when the seventh book was newly published, and all I read afterwards were fanfiction. It is not a very reliable thing to try to figure out the characters of the original characters in fanfiction, but it can also help me recognize some misunderstandings and let me understand my true thoughts.I have also read a few articles about "Black Lion Court" and "White Snake Court".The more fans I watch, the clearer the characters in my heart will be.But when I started writing, I realized that this was not enough. The original work is the real cornerstone of the fandom.Every time you read the original book, you can get a new experience. This reading of the original work has improved my understanding of the characters in the original work.I've never seen so clearly that Albus Dumbledore is a hero and that Harry Potter is a messiah who has grown into a hero. There are a thousand Hamlets in the eyes of a thousand people, and I have captured the one that belongs to me.I think I know what to write!
