Dawn Redemption

Chapter 4 IV. Courtyard of the Seifert Mansion

The moment Noah opened the door, he saw Finn standing under the stairs. He was still meticulously groomed from head to toe, and when he saw Noah, he straightened his right arm and saluted as a standard salute.

"Hurray, Hitler."

Noah returned the salute, walked down the stairs at the door with his hands behind his back, and patted Finn on the shoulder.

Finn looked a little shy but still had a straight face, lowering his clear eyes.Noah smiled and said, "Second Lieutenant Finn, have you had breakfast?"

"No, sir." Finn raised his eyes and said.

He never had that habit after he left home.

"Come in and have some bread, young man, don't act like an old man." Noah said, "Go to the concentration camp for me to check later."

"Okay...Okay." Probably because he was not used to such concern, Finn's voice was not as firm as before, "It's a great honor, sir." Perhaps out of politeness, he raised his head and looked at Noah. The man's experience has left traces of fortitude on his mature face, but the look in his eyes is still full.

Those eyes were burning.

Fein instantly felt that his heart was shaken by the impact of this gaze, and then subconsciously turned his head to avoid it.

"Relax, this is not a barracks." Noah patted Finn on the back lightly. "Okay, sir." Although it was a respectful word, it carried an unapproachable indifference.

The morning sun should have been bright but not glaring. However, the sky of Auschwitz was covered with thick dark clouds, and it seemed that even the most common laws of nature lost their original track here.

Some people say that because this is not the world.

is hell.

Noah suddenly heard a violent dog barking from outside the window, put down the documents in his hand and looked through the glass window towards the concentration camp.Billows of black smoke billowed into the sky. Then came screaming, wailing, crying.

...But they were all stopped by a rough cry.

Never heard him speak so loudly, or even so fiercely.

It's Finn.

Noah tightened his eyebrows, and turned his gaze back to the desk. His eyes swept over the upside-down photo frame, and he picked it up after hesitating for a while, with soft eyes in his eyes.

As if time stood still and the hustle and bustle settled down.

In the photo is a four or five-year-old girl, wearing a brand-new foreign dress, showing a sunny smile.

Noah smiled lightly, and put the photo frame on the table again. When he picked up the pen, Finn's angry reprimand just now sounded in his mind again.

"Shut up, dirty Jewish bastard!"

"Another batch today?" Noah asked while sitting behind his desk.Finn stood in front of the table in a standard standing posture: "Yes, sir."

"No accident." Noah said, this is a statement rather than a question. In fact, as soon as Finn came in, he saw a little blood stain on the tips of Finn's usually neatly combed blond hair.Sure enough, Finn bit his lips and said, "Yes. There is one. Before I went in, I suddenly went crazy." "Then?" Noah asked.

"Dead." Fein said, his face still flat, as if he just described a flower withered.

Noah looked into his eyes, and Finn subconsciously avoided his gaze.Noah raised his jaw slightly: "Come here."

Finn walked around the desk and stood about two meters away from Noah.Noah raised his eyebrows: "Come closer."

Finn took another step forward, and his left arm was grabbed by Noah before he stood still. His strength was greater than imagined.Subconsciously wanting to break free, but because of his status as a subordinate, he had to restrain himself from pulling his hand away. Then the next second, the sleeves of the military uniform were slightly and roughly pulled off.

Three clear bloodstains were clearly visible on the white forearm.

The blood on the edge has formed a purple blood scab. The rolled flesh on both sides of the wound looked like tender white flower buds that had been forcibly torn open.

Occasionally, the man gently touched the wound with his fingers.

"Hmm." Electric current-like pain passed through his body.Finn closed his eyes, his Adam's apple trembled weakly.

"Does it hurt?" Noah gently stroked the even but not exaggerated muscles on Finn's arm with his fingertips. It was within half an inch of touching the three parallel wounds.

"...It hurts." Under Noah's falcon-like eyes, it seemed that he didn't even have the strength to lie, so Finn bit out the word reluctantly, and his slender pale golden eyebrows frowned, "Sir."

"Do you need to explain?" Noah let go of Finn's arm, he hesitated for a moment and withdrew his hand, and quickly pulled down his sleeve to cover the scar.Noah leaned back on the chair, "My dear Second Lieutenant Finn."

Finn quickly returned to his usual expression, so calm that he seemed to sink everything around him into the deep sea under the Arctic ice. With such a mechanical and indifferent expression, he said slowly: "The Jew rushed over and grabbed me. When I pulled my hand, I was scratched by his nails. Sir."

Noah crossed his fingers and said nothing. At that moment, he saw that there seemed to be black flames dancing in Finn's beautiful blue eyes.Twisting and burning, devouring the soft light that is as clear as water in the pupils.
