Chapter 44 Education is a Big Problem

Nora took some time to explain Voldemort and the Death Eaters to Tom.

She cited the example of American comics.Voldemort is the ultimate combination of the arrogant, indifferent, cruel and evil big devil kings in the comics who take it as their mission to rule the world. And Voldemort is a group of lackluster followers of the Great Demon King who have evil intentions.

The Great Demon King was full and had nothing to do, making a mess of the magic world, and was finally defeated by the chosen savior. But the Great Demon King did not die completely, and after more than ten years, he made a comeback again, causing panic among the wizarding world. But the big devil is the big devil after all, but no matter how aggressive the story is, he will always be beaten by the force of justice until there is no pants left.

Whether Tom believed it or not, Norah did, and thinking it over, she felt that her generalization was quite accurate.

After the story was over, Nora sent Tom to bed, and fell on the bed herself.

Coincidentally, this room was the one she used to live in in Black's old house.

Before falling asleep, Nora remembered one thing.

Since Dumbledore remembered her, there was no reason why he should not remember Tom Riddle. It was he who sent the future Dark Lord his acceptance letter to Hogwarts, and he had studied for decades how to completely defeat Voldemort, and there was no reason why he should not be impressed by their first meeting.

He should have realized that Jack Gray was Tom Riddle.

Nora thought about it and decided to go to bed first.

Dumbledore always had his reasons.

Most of the Death Eaters stayed up all night last night, looking for a witch named Nora Gray all over the world, but of course they found nothing. They agreed that Draco Malfoy was wrong. The Dracos were at Hogwarts, and Lucius Malfoy had to shoulder all the responsibilities.

Fortunately, after a month of calming down, the Dark Lord somewhat regained his sanity. Compared with before, his attitude was almost gentle and considerate, which made all the Death Eaters shudder, fearing that he had entered another level of psychopathy.

Looking at this group of unreliable subordinates, the Dark Lord couldn't help feeling that Barton Crouch Jr. and Lestrange were more useful.Manpower, he lacks available manpower now.His most loyal and capable men are locked in Azkaban.

Dementors are not easy to mess with, this is the consensus of the wizarding world. No matter how well you use the Patronus Charm, you will be helpless to face hordes of dementors wearing gray cloaks for many years, and it is impossible to negotiate with them.

There is only one wizard who can negotiate with dementors.

On the other side, the Order of the Phoenix was calm, and Nora was eating the breakfast made by Mrs. Weasley with a table full of inquisitive eyes.Tom was much calmer than her, he was biting the omelette generously.

Perhaps it was the sequelae left to him by the orphanage, his appetite was bigger than the average child. He thanked Mrs. Weasley politely and coyly when she brought him more omelets.

Mrs. Weasley has always been full of maternal love for children.Unfortunately, ten-year-old Tom has a delicate baby face, which is lovable. She asked Nora, "How old is this kid?"

Nora looked at Tom: "How old are you?"

"Ten," said Tom, taking another bite of the pancake.

"He's too thin. He should eat more," said Mrs. Weasley. "Is he a wizard?"

"Yes, just not old enough to have a wand," said Nora.

"There are five boys in my family. When they were less than 11 years old, they dreamed of having their own wands. They often stole their father's wands to show off. After going to school, they wanted to graduate as soon as possible, so they would not be bound by traces. In short, boys are never easy to worry about, even when they are adults."

The conversation seems to be gradually developing in the direction of parenting.

Tom ate the last pancake and wiped his mouth with his napkin. He got up and asked, "Can I borrow the books in the study?"

He said while looking at Sirius.Even without expressing it, he could see who was the master here.

Sirius waved his hand nonchalantly: "As you please."

Nora has mixed feelings. She felt that she already knew Sirius Black in a way, that they had fought together for Harry. But now, in Sirius' eyes, she was a suspicious stranger who had infiltrated the Order of the Phoenix.

It feels a little sad.

There are always people coming and going in the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, what the Death Eaters are doing, what the Ministry of Magic is still obsessed with, and what Minister Fudge is obstructing their actions, most of the things have nothing to do with Nora.

Dumbledore visited the Order of the Phoenix again this afternoon. After greeting everyone, he asked, "Is Jack there?"

Sure enough, it was discovered.Nora thought. She eagerly explained: "Jack doesn't know anything—he didn't even know about wizards and magic for the past two days. If you want to ask anything, just ask me."

Dumbledore patted Nora on the back of the hand to reassure her.

Tom didn't know when he opened the study door and stood at the door.

"Would you mind talking to me alone?" Dumbledore asked.

"Of course not, Professor," said Tom politely.

Dumbledore walked towards the study, and Nora tried to follow with some concern.Dumbledore shook his head slightly at her.

Nora could only watch Dumbledore and Tom enter the study.

Dumbledore left without staying for long.He behaved as usual, unable to discern what was being talked about.Nora decided to visit Tom in the study, and took a plate of small biscuits baked by Molly.

Dust kicked up when she opened the door.

The study room has not been cleaned for a long time. The cleaning of the Order of the Phoenix also skipped here. There was a thick layer of dust on the bookshelves.

Books were spread out on the floor.Tom sat cross-legged on the floor, reading a thick book that was spread wider than his upper body.

"What are you looking at?" Nora put down her plate, deciding to start with this.

"A book about making potions." Tom looked up.

Nora glanced at it, and the illustration on that page was showing a potion that could make people's mouths disappear, and a Muggle was starving to death because of it, with a grim expression.

Nora remembered that when she was studying at Hogwarts, a Ravenclaw girl encountered such an incident, and it was finally sent to St. Mungo to solve it.The teacher asked how she came into contact with such a dangerous potion, but the girl refused to say anything. That's the end of the matter.

Come to think of it now, it was probably Tom Riddle's fault.

Nora thought it necessary to buy Tom some books that wizard children often read, such as fairy tales or Quidditch enlightenment.Maybe she could ask Dumbledore to borrow some money, and he would be more than happy to agree to it when it came to Tom's education.

"If you're bored, I can find you some other books..." Nora sat down next to him with her skirts lifted.

"No, those books are very interesting," said Tom.His dark eyes sparkled. "This is what magic can do—only magic can do."

"Tom," said Nora, "Muggles can easily kill. They have invented many tools. A bullet, a few drops of poison, and even a tube of air can take a person's life. If you compare this, wizards have long been dead." Left far behind by the Muggles. The magic of magic isn't how powerful it is."

Nora pushed the pan of biscuits to the floor. The china plate shattered and there were crumbs of biscuits all over the place.Nora pulled out her wand a little: "Restore as before." The fragments and powder were reassembled and returned to the table intact.

"You see, even if the Muggles' weapons and technology are at their peak, they can't do it."

Tom watched her cast the spell for a split second. He looks thoughtful.

Nora glanced at the bookshelf, picked out a few healthy-looking magic books and stuffed them for him, and took away the "One Hundred Dangerous Potions" from his hand.

Nora felt that the time was almost ripe. She cleared her throat and asked, "What did Professor Dumbledore talk to you just now?"

"He asked me if I was still used to living here."

"anything else?"

"He also asked... have I felt uncomfortable recently, such as seeing something that didn't happen, hearing some voices that are not in my ears."

Nora was a little nervous: "Then do you have it?"

Tom shook his head: "No."

Nora breathed a sigh of relief and asked again, "What did Professor Dumbledore say?"

"He said that one day, if something like this happens, he must be notified immediately."

"Professor Dumbledore is right."

"Why? Is it important?"

"Time travel is often accompanied by many symptoms, and this is one of them." Nora made up nonsense, "If it is discovered early, it can be treated early. In short, it is always right to pay more attention."

Having said this, Nora turned her attention back to the book. She educated in an adult tone: "These potions are useless at all. Why would anyone want to make a person's mouth disappear? It's not good at all."

Tom sighed softly, like a father facing his rebellious daughter."You're still just as noisy," he said.

Nora flicked his head (she'd been meaning to do that for a long time): "Hey kid, did someone tell you that listening is a virtue."

Tom said, "You haven't finished the long story with me."

This sentence successfully scared Nora out of the study.

When the heavy wooden door closed again, Tom glanced at the books on the floor. Not knowing what to think of, he smiled softly.

"Nagini." He whispered in Parseltongue.

A little white snake crawled out from a dark corner.

"Did you remember my words?"

Nagini hissed.

"Go ahead," said Tom.

Nagini folded and fell into the darkness again.

The dinner that day was beef with onions. Mrs. Weasley's culinary skills are well-known in the wizarding world, but compared with Kreacher, who has been immersed in culinary skills for decades, there is still a gap.

Speaking of Kreacher, Nora thought of Regulus again.

The doors of the rooms in the old house were all shut tightly.Kreacher, the house-elf, was so elusive that she couldn't find her.Nora went up to the top floor, and it was the same as in the last world. There were only two doors, one with "Sirius" written on it, and a small, easily overlooked plaque hanging on the other. The sign, with two lines written in neat handwriting:

If there is no Regulus (R).Attalos (A).Black (B) Special Approval

do not disturb

Nora stood in front of the door.

Since coming here, she had never seen Regulus.Where did he go?Maybe in exile as a former Death Eater, or maybe locked up in Azkaban?Maybe he joined the Order of the Phoenix, that's not out of the question.

Thinking of this, she stretched out her hand and pushed open the door. The door is locked. She drew out her wand and aimed it at the doorknob.

"Araho Cave is open!"
