Chapter 4 Broomstick
Draco probably made up his mind to be the enemy of Harry. Since he knew that he was going to take flying lessons with Gryffindor this Thursday, he kept boasting about his superior flying skills in the Slytherin common room. Skills, and often intentionally or unintentionally let Harry and the others hear this, and talked about Nimbus 2000 again, implying that the poor (he should mean Weasley) could not afford such an expensive broom, but Potter received it shortly after A mysterious gift - Nimbus 2000.
Draco especially liked to force Catherine to talk about broomsticks and flying, much to Pansy's displeasure. That morning, when Draco was at the Great Hall table again, telling the one-hundred and oneth time the story of him dodging a Muggle plane on a broomstick, the Hogwarts messengers arrived suddenly.Hundreds of owls fluttered over the auditorium with packages big and small, and then flopped the packages down from the air.Draco received a package of exquisitely packaged candy, Theodore received a book, and except for Catherine, the rest of the first-year Slytherins received things from their homes.Catherine poked the milk pudding on the plate with her spoon, trying not to be too embarrassed.
"Catherine, where's your package?" Pansy asked suddenly.
"I don't have a package," Catherine replied, and she began to think about leaving the auditorium.
"How is that possible?" Pansy said in her usual exaggerated voice, "Today is our full month of school, why didn't your parents send you something? Besides, you didn't receive anything when the owls came a few times ago .”
"I don't know. Maybe they are busy. Do you have any objections?" Catherine said angrily. She threw the spoon on the plate with a bang, raised her head and stared at Pansy with a bad expression, and decided not to leave.
"Come on, girls, eat candies." Blaise grabbed a handful of Draco's candies and shared them with Catherine and Pansy. He grabbed a handful of sugar from his jar, raised his eyebrows, but said nothing.
On the second Thursday of October, the students of Slytherin and Gryffindor ushered in their first real flying lesson. Longbottom broke his wrist and Draco's confrontation with Harry was over at the start. The main cause of that conflict was Draco, who tried to trick Harry into being expelled or throwing his broom off, but unfortunately the end result was that Harry broke into the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
"Okay, let's go to class, I hope you will be obedient this time." After Madam Hooch finished, she glanced at Harry and Neville, and then at Draco. "Now, pick up your brooms. I think you should remember how to hold them. You can only leave the ground after hearing my order."
Like the last lesson, Catherine stretched out her hand to the broom and said "Get up", and the old broom immediately flew into her palm.If there was one subject the Ferrara family didn't do well in, it was flying, where even their mother and sister, who graduated with straight honors, struggled.
One exception was Catherine, who from a very young age loved flying around her estate with her own toy broomstick. She flew up very quickly. Unfortunately, this broom seemed too timid, and she refused to fly to the sky. Catherine could only stop at a place about ten meters above the ground and look down boredly. Students who can't fly.The kind-hearted Potter was helping Lavender Brown, who couldn't fly, to adjust his posture. Since Mrs. Hooch had been staring at him, Draco could no longer trouble Potter. He flew to the same height as Catherine, but did not stop at She was beside her, but riding a broom around her, "It's too boring to fly high, right? We wasted this lesson in order to take care of those who can't fly."
"Even if I can fly high, I can't fly with this broken broom." Catherine was frustrated, and then she asked Draco, "Did you buy the Nimbus 2000?"
"No," Draco stopped on Catherine's left, "my dad doesn't allow me to bring a broom in quietly, and I don't want to use the same thing as Potter, my dad promised me that it would be better to buy me a broom next year." Yes. I will definitely be on the Quidditch team next year, and Potter will definitely lose badly." Then he suddenly flew to Catherine's right, "You and Pansy and the others remember to bring the panoramic binoculars and see how I am. The one who knocked Potter off the broom."
"Actually, I don't want to be in the audience," Catherine said.
"You mean, you also want to join the Quidditch team?" Draco suddenly ended his boring game of going around in circles, and stopped in front of Catherine, with a little starlight in his gray-blue eyes, "Which position do you like?" ? Chaser or Seeker?"
"I prefer a hitter like Ed Dawson," Catherine replied.
"Batters? But there are very few girls who are batters, because you are not strong enough. The duty of batters is to protect their players. Girls may not even be able to protect themselves as batters." De Laco analyzed seriously.
"I don't think so. Girls will be more flexible. Strength doesn't determine everything. As long as the speed is fast enough and the goal is accurate, you can knock your opponent off the broom." Catherine retorted, "Next year, I will try it." She added.
"Well, what you said is also reasonable." Draco replied reluctantly, "but the batter is not protected by anyone, and it is easy to get injured. You must know that the players on the field will not treat your subordinates just because you are a girl." Be merciful, and even deal with you first, Flint and the others are like this, eliminating the opponent's girl first every time they compete."
"But hitters have bats, they run after Bludgers and knock them up, instead of being chased by Bludgers, and I can protect myself." Catherine pinned her windblown hair behind the ears.
"Well, there's nothing wrong with you thinking so. We can apply for the team together next year." Draco said reluctantly. "We can beat Potter together at that time, use your bat, that's it." He suddenly became happy, and glanced triumphantly at Harry who was not far away.
Catherine: "..."
When class was about to end, Draco still found an opportunity to get up in front of Potter, and because Crabbe and Goyle didn't know where to be lazy, this time he broke into a group of Gryffindors alone, so he shouldn't be beaten Well, Catherine stopped to observe not far from Draco, thinking that if they fight, she will go to Professor Snape (she will definitely not go to Professor McGonagall, this kind of thing must find an eccentric person ) to persuade them to fight, or to ask Blaise to help them fight.
"Hey, Potter, was Quidditch practice fun, did you get any broken arms and legs? I heard your captain was knocked out for five minutes the first time he played, and he didn't wake up until two weeks later, and that game was Slytherin won." Draco threw his broom on the ground and stepped into the middle of the Gryffindors with his arms folded.
"It's over, the broom is thrown away, and he can't run now after the fight," thought Catherine.
"Why, didn't you bring your footman with you, Malfoy, it seems that you have become bolder." Harry said.
"It seems you don't know how powerful I am, Potter." Draco said. "Tonight, wizard duel, dare to come?"
"Of course he would," said Ron, taking a step forward to stand beside Harry. "I'm his assistant. Where's your assistant?"
Draco circled around for a while and then turned his head. Catherine couldn't hear what they said, but suddenly there was an ominous premonition in her heart. After a while, she saw Draco walking towards her with a proud face.
"I have an appointment with Potter for a midnight duel, and you are my assistant." Draco said, looking excited.
"What?" Catherine frowned, her voice raised significantly, "Are you crazy? You'll be fired if you do this, and I won't be your assistant, never." She emphasized, and began to think that those qualifications Lanffindor was too kind to take this opportunity to beat Draco up.
"I'm not going." Draco smirked, "But Potter will be caught visiting the castle at night and then locked up."
If I were a Gryffindor, I would have knocked out Draco's teeth just now.Catherine thought quietly.
"Reincarnation of cause and effect, everything is reciprocated." Catherine once read such a sentence in a Chinese book at home. At that time, she didn't understand what it meant, but now she understands it.Draco reported to Professor McGonagall that Harry didn't sleep in the middle of the night, and ended up putting himself in, and they were going to be locked up together because he didn't sleep in the middle of the night.
