[HP Doujin] take care of you

Chapter 5 6 Years Old

A few hours later, Ginny woke up.She was always afraid that she would never wake up again, although she was too tired to open her eyes, she forced herself to open them.Ginny sat up in bed, surprised to see that it wasn't just her parents in the room.Remus sat on the ground, writing and drawing on something that looked like a map.And Ron.

"Ron!" Ginny called.

Ron looked up in shock, his pale eyes widening to see her awake. He rushed to Ginny and took her into his arms. His clothes smelled faintly of fire and earth, and Ginny didn't want to let him go.She hasn't seen her brother for a long time.

When they finally let go of each other, Ron gave Ginny a crooked smile.

"It's good to see you awake, Kim," murmured Ron, ruffling her hair. "But you stink. When was the last time you took a shower?"

Ginny raised her eyebrows and looked at her mother, who was blowing her nose in the corner.Molly wiped the tears from her face.

"Oh, Ron, shut up," Molly tried to be dismissive, but failed. "Ginny couldn't have been cleaner."

Ginny glanced at Ron, who was grinning even harder.

"Thank you, Ron," Ginny said sarcastically, but couldn't stop the smile on her face.

"What do you think?" Ron asked, looking into her face. "Pomfrey said you're fine."

Although he was trying to be as relaxed as possible, he still seemed a little nervous, and Ginny touched his arm, smiling softly.

"I'm very good."

Ginny felt her heart might explode, and she hugged Ron again. He seemed surprised that they weren't close brother and sister, but she couldn't forget that they had fought Voldemort in two completely different time and place for the past few months. They have so many stories to tell each other.Ron patted her on the back awkwardly, and Ginny seemed to hear her mother start crying again.

"How's Hermione?" Ginny let go of her. "Where's Harry? Are they all here?"

Ron blushed and nodded.

"Well, they're all fine."

He moved closer to Ginny and lowered his voice.

"Pretty much all were destroyed... Horcruxes, they're gone. At least the ones we could find."

Ginny opened her mouth in surprise, but nothing came out.Harry ruined them. What else did she miss?Is Voldemort still alive? How is everyone?Ron seemed to read her mind, he always seemed to have this knack, and he shook his head.

"Nothing happened yet."

Ginny breathed a sigh of relief and sat down again, suddenly remembering that her parents were in the same room as her.And Remus. She looked to Remus, who gave her a friendly smile.

"Remus," Ginny said softly, her throat tightening with guilt.

He shook his head, as if to signal them to talk about it later.Remus came over and hugged her, and she felt him take a deep breath, as if he was losing control.

"I should go." He forced a smile at her. "There are four men waiting for you to wake up in the common room downstairs."

Ginny nodded, about to say something more, but he shook his head again.

"Are you coming back?" she asked softly.

"Of course I'll be back, Ginny," he assured her.

After he left, Molly and Arthur moved closer to their daughter. They dismissed the unabashed affection between Remus and Ginny, but it was only platonic.Molly started to care about Ginny again, and Ron laughed, when the bedroom door opened. As Remus said, four men entered the room.

Ginny couldn't help but jumped out of bed and ran to them. The legs that hadn't fully recovered could not support at all, but she was caught before landing.Charlie smiled and put his sister on the rug.

"Be careful," he said in a low voice.

Ginny smiled and hugged him. There were more burns on Charlie's body. He smiled affectionately at his sister, kissed the top of her head, and didn't let her go.Afterwards, Charlie passed her on to Bill, and she giggled.

"You seem older than I remember!" Bill scolded, grinning, rubbing his thumb under Ginny's eyes.

Ginny looked at her older brother, trying not to frown. She was startled, she had forgotten that Fenrir Greyback had attacked Bill. His face was full of scars, she might have looked older by a few months, but he was years older than she remembered.

"It's because I'm older, Bill," she retorted, realizing just how little she had missed her family.

She heard the twins squeeze behind Bill.

"Have we been the forgotten ones?" exclaimed Fred grandly.

"Always last!" George echoed.

They hugged Ginny together, and for a split second she felt like she was going to cry, she couldn't handle so much love. They let her go, but Fred kept his arms around her waist, as if he knew she was emotionally vulnerable right now.

"Where's Percy?" Ginny asked, wiping her slightly damp cheek.

The atmosphere suddenly changed, and Ginny opened her eyes stiffly.

"Has he not come home yet?" she asked sharply. "Is he still with the minister?"

Arthur scowled, avoiding Ginny's gaze.Molly began to cry again, but obviously for a different reason.

"He's a fool," said George sullenly.

"Hello," Bill snapped. "He may be an idiot, but he's still family."

Ginny shook her head.

"I can't believe he's still against us, I thought after going through..."

Charlie smiled at her, lifting her chin with his hand.

"Sit down, Ginny. Don't worry about this now."

So she sat back on the bed.Ginny still couldn't believe that she was really home, that she was really okay. Finally something good came out.The family she missed day and night chatted and joked around her, and she tried her best to hold back tears. They are always by her side.No one asked about her time travel, which she was grateful for.Ginny just wanted business as usual now.

Hours later, as the sun set and the moon lit the room, her brothers drifted away.Bill said Fleur was waiting for him in the Great Hall.Fred and George are going to discuss tactics with Professor Flitwick.Charlie agrees to visit Hagrid at the cottage.Ron told her that Harry and Hermione would want to hear about her.

Ginny hardly wanted to let them go.After they left, she would recall reality again. With her family around her, she didn't have time to think, and he wasn't on her mind. However, she felt it was time to face the issue. Her brothers kissed her goodbye one by one, and when the bedroom door finally closed, she looked to her parents.

"I'm going to take a shower," she said slowly to them. "I'm going to stink."

Arthur smiled lovingly and squeezed Ginny's hand tightly.

"There's another bedroom up there a few flights of stairs," he said. "We live there. Come find us there if you need anything."

Molly nodded approvingly.

"If you're hungry, or sick, or need us to be with you, just call. I can even stay here if you want, baby—"

Ginny shook her head, interrupting her mother. She smiled softly at her parents.

"Get some rest," Ginny said. "You don't need to sleep here. I'm fine now."

Her mother cried again, and Arthur nodded vigorously.

"Good night, Kim," her dad whispered, kissing the top of her head.

After Molly kissed her on the cheek, the two left together, gently closing the door behind them.

Alone in her bedroom, Ginny took a deep breath. It was the first time she was alone today. She closed her eyes and thought about how much time she had missed. It's been a month. She was in a coma for a month, oblivious to the world around her. What did she miss?

Ginny crawled out of bed, stretching, trying to get rid of these thoughts. She really needs a bath. She felt that taking a bath would help her relieve stress and forget about those scary thoughts.Ginny took off her tattered nightgown and went into the bathroom that adjoined the bedroom. It's exactly what a student body president's bathroom should be, nice and clean.

Ginny walked into the shower, and she tried not to think about it as memories flooded back to her in the President's dorm with Sirius. The water was hot and helped soothe her tense muscles. She put shampoo and conditioner on her hair and washed her body with soap several times. However, the fear in her heart didn't seem to be washed away.Ginny turned off the tap, took a clean towel and dried herself.

Ginny went back to the bedroom and went to the suitcase at the foot of the bed. Before time travel last September, she kept all her clothes in Hogwarts. She took out a blouse with holes in the sleeves, but still her favorite, and held it up to her nose.It smelled of The Burrow, and everything was familiar.Ginny closed her eyes, thinking about her life before time travel.

Life wasn't normal then, but it wasn't as difficult as it is now.

Ginny put on her shirt and rummaged through her trousers and underpants. When she found them, she happily put them on.Ginny towel-dried her hair and sat down in the chair her mother had used for the night.

She is finally home. Her family was here, and Ginny didn't feel as crazy as she had been when she was stuck in the school hospital with Remus.Thinking of Remus, Ginny cupped her head in her hands. She left suddenly without explaining to him, and he was probably very angry with her.But her mother said he saved her and Sirius—

Ginny's stomach sank, then surged with joy.Sirius is alive. He came home. That's what her mother said, she told Ginny, he was back.Ginny got up and ran to the door. The desire to see Sirius was overwhelming; she had to see him in person. She could remember him young and calm in the veil.Ginny had to see him.

But she faltered as she grasped the doorknob.

"What if we took away his memory of you?"

He won't remember her.If the magic of the veil had worked, Sirius would not have remembered the time Ginny had spent with him and the Marauders in 1978.Sirius would not remember their relationship or their love.He will not remember that he proposed to her, nor that she ever left him.

Ginny felt as if the world around her was shrinking. She held her chest, struggling to breathe.

She agreed, and Sirius went home.He is back.

Ginny turned around at the door, her breathing slowly returning to normal. What did she promise? She shook her head, feeling like she couldn't think clearly. She promised to keep Sirius alive, to give Sirius a chance to live again. If he didn't remember her... Ginny sat down slowly on the floor with a sad face. She was selfish, but Ginny just wanted Sirius to remember her.How was she going to live if he didn't remember her?

The bedroom door swung open, bringing Ginny back to reality, and she looked up in surprise. There was no one at the door, and Ginny brushed the damp curly hair off her face, feeling terrified, and then, the air seemed to move. When the invisibility cloak was removed, a familiar head emerged, followed by a gaunt body.

"Harry," Ginny whispered, dumbfounded.

He stood in front of her, not the same as Ginny remembered him. This distinction does not stem from his appearance.Harry still had messy black hair, round glasses, and a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead, which was a bit darker.Harry stood at her door, handsome and tall. But Ginny found it hard to breathe as she watched him from the ground.Because he looks a lot like his father.

She could see James in Harry, from the way he straightened up, to the way he looked at her with concern.Although their faces are different, he still looks a lot like James. His emerald green eyes, full of emotion, are a lot like Lily, though.

"Harry," she whispered again, unable to imagine him here.

Harry strode towards her and knelt down beside her.He held her face in his hands, and the recklessness in his movements made her heart beat faster.Warm breath fell on her face, and she looked into his eyes.

"You're awake." Harry licked his lips, sounding like a little boy, which caught Ginny off guard. "You finally woke up."

Ginny smiled slightly at him.

"Extremely observant, Harry," she joked.

But even her jokes were overshadowed by the seriousness of the situation now.It was strange that whenever Ginny thought about it, the next thing seemed to fall into place. She doesn't feel awkward or rushed. It is natural and correct.

He kissed her and she put her arms around his neck and pulled him into her arms.Harry hugged her, wrapping his arms around her back. She arched towards him, pushing him away only when she was out of breath.Harry leaned down and kissed her neck, and her heart skipped a beat.

"I don't know..." Harry's voice trailed off, sounding frightened, and Ginny lifted his head and looked into his eyes.

"I'm fine," she told him. "all is well."

But when she said that, tears still flowed down.Harry frowned, wiping any remaining tears from her face for her.Ginny took a deep breath, grateful that he had come to see her.

"If my mother finds you here, she'll kill you," said Ginny, after they had looked at each other in silence for a while.

She had almost forgotten how handsome Harry was.

"I know." He murmured with a smile. "Ron told me I'd be lucky if I could escape her once this week."

He pushed a lock of curls out of her eyes, and Ginny hugged him.She rested her head on his shoulder, getting as close to him as possible.

"I miss you," Harry said softly.

Ginny nodded approvingly, closing her eyes tightly to keep the tears from falling. She had forgotten too much about Harry. She forgot about his slightly crooked glasses, his bright eyes, the way he could make her mind just look at her, and his kisses could make her melt...

"I miss you too, Harry," said Ginny. "When I left..."

Ginny paused, wondering how much Harry knew about her mission in 1978.Did he know that she was related to his parents, that his father was a close friend of hers?Did Harry know she loved his godfather?

Thinking of this, Ginny pushed Harry away.Sirius' face kept coming to her mind as she sat on Harry's lap with his arm around her, and she felt wrong and confused.Harry looked at her curiously, he didn't know anything.

"When I left," she said slowly, choosing her words carefully. "I thought you were dead. I thought when I came back it would be over and everyone I loved would be gone."

Harry made a sound in the back of his throat and felt his eyes sting as he looked at Ginny.

"You shouldn't have gone. They should have found someone else," he said sharply. "I don't know. I didn't know you were gone until I got back to Hogwarts."

Ginny was surprised. No one told Ron, Hermione and Harry, had she gone back in time? She thought again that this war was about power. She wouldn't be surprised at all that McGonagall would lie to him if he could avoid distracting Harry and convince him that Ginny was safe at Hogwarts.

"What happened to you while I was away?" Ginny asked, hoping to get him off his mind.

Harry shook his head.

"It's nothing important." He cupped her face in his hands and said succinctly.

This time, Ginny leaned in and kissed him.
