Chapter 18 Trailwalker
That person is K.
I seem to have said this sentence several times.
He helped me take the courier to the door of my dormitory, and my roommate opened the door for me.I gritted my teeth and didn't say a word, and I didn't go in. I just stood at the door and looked at K expressionlessly.
The roommate was a little strange and asked, "Why don't you come in?"
I glanced at him sideways, and then I heard K say "I'm leaving" behind me.I turned my head quickly, only in time to see his leaving back, with the familiar black backpack on his back.
I suddenly had heart palpitations, as if something was about to break out from the bottom of my heart and leave me, a "hey" sounded in my throat, trying to stop something without authorization.
He paused in his steps without looking back, lowered his head, clutched the corner of his clothes with his left hand, raised his legs and disappeared around the corner of the stairs.
It was a long time later that I realized that my contact with K was simply unbelievable. At this time, I did not regard it as a deliberate fate. The metaphysical result of the same reasoning as "dream": I don't want to see him, the easier it is for him to appear in front of me.
However, this time during the exam week, I met in a hurry downstairs in the dormitory. After K was forced away by my indifference, I didn't see K again for a long time.
Because the class I took with him ended in the middle of the semester.
The only connection between me and K ended, and I degenerated into the kind of friend I described before who only lived in space, and became a simple, familiar stranger.
Everything returns to its original position, the disrupted Rubik's Cube will eventually be restored by time, the footprints left on the sand will eventually be smoothed by the waves, and meaningless memories will eventually be automatically sealed.
I am now only looking forward to the Trailwalk in a few days.
I went to bed early the night before, because I had to get up early the next day, and the group had to gather at 6 o'clock and take the car to the departure point.
After tidying up myself, I went out to gather with my classmates. Although it was not obvious, I was still very excited inside. The corners of my mouth always raised unconsciously, looking at the scenery outside the window.
A classmate was a member of the club that organized Trailwalk last year. He was very talkative, talking about the mountains all the way, enlivening the atmosphere.
He said that last year, a sophomore student in the Department of Architecture signed up for Trailwalking for two consecutive days. In the end, his muscles were overstretched and his leg was injured. He lay down in the hospital for nearly a week and missed a week of classes.
He and everyone else who was listening laughed. I don't know why, but it wasn't funny at all.
A sophomore in the Department of Architecture, Trailwalker, two days in a row, sick, and asked for a week of leave...
"You seem to be sick often. I remember that in November last year, you were hospitalized and took a class off."
"Yeah, I was sick and hospitalized, so I couldn't see you once a week."
"Your physical fitness is not good. You should exercise more usually so that you won't go to the hospital often."
"How do you know if I can do it or not? Besides, it's different. This time it's just a small cold. Last year it was because of Trailblazer..."
My chest feels tight. The conversations of the people around me became a buzzing sound in my ears, and I couldn't hear them anymore.
I didn't say a word during the whole process of Trailwalking, as if I only regarded Trailwalking as a task, and I no longer had the enthusiasm I had at the beginning.
All day, I have only two questions on my mind.
K, is this you?
What are you for?
I think I need to have a good talk with K.
What I didn't know was that this conversation was like a meteorite falling to the earth, smashing my life into pieces, and the gravel and dust it stirred up covered my entire sky.
The author has something to say:
Visually, there are still four to five thousand words to finish, so it's almost there. There will be a postscript at the end, explaining the reason for writing this article, and explaining whether the adaptation of real events is true.I still look forward to their dog food. Although not many people read this article, I hope you will look forward to it with me and wish them happiness with me!By the way, today's two changes are because they sent out candy!Wow Ka Ka Ka ~
