Unlike Afghanistan, Sarajevo may have more complexes for the Chinese.As one of the few members of the socialist camp after World War II, China and the Yugoslavia had a profound friendship, and many early domestic films and literary works also widely publicized this beautiful country.I remember playing open-air movies in the compound when I was a child. "The Bridge" and "Walter Defends Sarajevo" were all popular movies. The famous song "Ah, Goodbye Friends" was also learned along with the nursery rhymes "Let's Swing the Oars" the tune.It can be said that Walter, Tito and the Southern Federation they represented gave me many unique memories of my childhood.

But the history and politics of the Balkans are indeed complicated, and it is not so easy to sort out and tell a good story.So even though I always wanted to write, I didn't dare to write.Until the middle of last year, I read a travelogue titled "No News from Sarajevo" in "Out of the Isolated Island" on One Way Street in July.It is written about Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been forgotten by the world today. The charm of Sarajevo still exists, and the idea of ​​a big family of diversity, tolerance, and harmony is still passed down as a belief by the people here.After reading it, I made up my mind that if I wanted to write about Sarajevo, I would at least try to tell more people about Sarajevo in my mind.

Everyone in this story is fictitious, and the plot is also fictitious.Although this fictional Sarajevo is cruel (in fact, the cruelty of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina is far more cruel than what I wrote), it also has beautiful places.Just like Walter believes, he believes that Sarajevo should be regarded as a kind of human belief, that is, people of different nationalities, different beliefs, different nationalities, and different identities can live together in equality, freedom, and happiness. What I want to present It is also such a belief.

Even if this belief is difficult to fully realize, and it is impossible for a place to truly achieve complete equality and freedom, if this belief can be firmly passed on, at least we can avoid many wars and conflicts.When I was writing about Afghanistan, I thought, we all know that war is cruel, we should oppose war and cherish peace, but wars still keep happening.Perhaps it is not enough just to know the cruelty of war. Human beings should always clearly realize that a harmonious but different society is the direction of our progress. Understanding and respect are the most precious qualities of human beings. Only in this way can we be worthy of the blood shed by the martyrs Only in this way can we get rid of more conspiracies and incitement, and only then can we achieve the four words of "cherishing peace".
