Adventures of the Prince of HP
Chapter 6 Diagon Alley
For His Royal Highness the crown prince, going to Diagon Alley without magic is a tough job.
Fortunately, as far as the school is concerned, that is, the headmaster has considered this matter, and after discussing it, he took the king and the crown prince to the Leaky Cauldron Bar with apparitions, and then stood aside with a smile, saying hello to the boss.
Edward's eyes moved lightly, he did not expect that there really was such a wizard bar that he could not see.Allen looked at the small and dark bar, his face was normal, and his heart was a little hard to explain. Are all wizards poor? Not even a decent entrance.
The bar owner was startled, and asked with a smile, "Hey, why did Principal Dumbledore come to my place?"
Dumbledore was still smiling, "Come to pick up a student."
"Huh?" Tom didn't believe it. "The matter of picking up the students requires the great Dumbledore to come in person!"
Dumbledore shook his head, as if he wanted to say something, but an owl bumped into him suddenly. He took the letter from the owl's mouth, looked a little serious after reading it, turned his head and nodded apologetically at Edward and Allen Nodded, "I'm very sorry both of you, but there is an emergency that I need to deal with right now, you..."
Edward was unhappy, and did not answer with a cold face.
Allen glanced at his father and took a step forward helplessly. He smiled, but the smile was not real, "Sir, we can buy good things by ourselves, but I hope that you can come back to this place in three hours and bring your Let's go back to Windsor Castle."
Dumbledore's blue eyes were full of apology, and he immediately agreed when he heard the words, and then disappeared in place.
Seeing the old man leave, Edward and Allen had the same expressions on their similar faces, and their eyelids were raised blankly. Tom was taken aback by that aura, and he didn't dare to come forward to talk to him. Both of them were incompatible with this place from their clothes to their temperament and behavior, and they didn't like the dark environment here. Edward intentionally trained Allen, but kept silent. He patted Allen on the shoulder and motioned Allen to solve it by himself.
Alan obviously didn't count on his demanding father. After watching the communication between his father and the old man, he thought about it seriously.
First of all, there is no need for a headmaster to pick up the students; secondly, according to the bar owner, Dumbledore is not just a headmaster. Then the old man's purpose in doing so is open to question. He is the crown prince of this country. There should be some wizards in the wizarding world who come from the normal world. Could it be that there is something wrong with this part of people? But looking at the attitude of the old man, it seems that it is not the case.
He pressed this question in his heart, walked slowly to the bar, leaned slightly, "Hi sir, I am a freshman at Hogwarts, this is my father, could you please take us to Diagon Alley ?"
Tom was taken aback at first, apparently not expecting Allen to salute him and speak so politely, he soon smiled and said enthusiastically, "Of course!"
It was rare for him to meet such a sorcerer who was polite to him, so he took the two of them to the back patio very graciously, took out his wand and tapped on the wall. "Gentlemen, you'll have to go to Gringotts to exchange wizard coins - you'll see it at the end - before you can go shopping!"
Edward nodded his thanks. The various commodities on both sides dazzled the two of them, and Allen unconsciously showed a little surprise. If it weren't for Edward's strict requirements on his etiquette for a long time, he might really jump up.He glanced at his father quietly, and saw the man's calm and indifferent face. If he didn't know that his father was a purebred ordinary person, he would have been deceived by his appearance.
The two arrived at Gringotts together, and Edward was obviously very interested in the operation mode of the wizard bank. The first door was a gate of shining bronze, guarded by goblins in uniforms of scarlet and gold, bowing to them.
Allen tried his best not to look at the goblin.
The second door is silver, and the following words are engraved on the door:
Come in, stranger, but beware what will happen to you if you are greedy. If you want to get something for nothing, you will be punished severely, so if you want to take a piece of wealth from our underground vault that never belonged to you, thief , you have been warned, beware that what you bring is not treasure, but evil.
Edward nodded appreciatively, and praised, "Correct concept." He was glanced at by a goblin with arrogance.
Side by side they passed through the second silver door into the spacious marble hall, where about a hundred or so goblins sat behind a long counter and scribbled entries in large ledgers. Some use scales to weigh coins, others use eyepieces to detect gems.
They went straight to the high platform opposite, Edward curled his lips, "Hello, Mr. Goblin, we are here to exchange wizard coins, and we hope to have a vault in Gringotts."
The goblin put down his pen and glanced at them, and skillfully introduced the wizard's currency system. Seeing Edward looking down at Allen, he said with some contempt, "It costs eighty galleons to open a vault. How much do you plan to exchange?"
Being despised by a goblin, Alan felt a little upset, he evoked a perfect smile, "Then, if you don't count the customer's storage, how much gold galleon inventory does Gringotts have now?"
The goblin glanced at him and replied slowly, "50 galleons, about 260 million in pounds."
Allen was very surprised that the wizarding world was really... economically underdeveloped. He smiled lightly and said politely, "Then please exchange it for 50 gold Jialong! Put it into the newly opened vault."
Then the goblin stood up in surprise and panic, "Two guests wait a moment, I'll go find the president." Soon an old goblin in a suit and leather shoes with gold-framed eyes walked over quickly, and said to Alan and Edward leaned forward and saluted, "Two distinguished guests, I'm sorry, Gringotts now only has 50 Galleons, which do not belong to the guests. If the two exchange it, the maximum exchange is 30. What do you think?"
Allen returned the salute, "Then I will trouble you."
The goblins breathed a sigh of relief.
"Excuse me, how much gold Jialong does a Hogwarts first-year student need a year." Allen asked.
The goblin was surprised at his question, and then remembered that he was just a Muggle, so he replied, "Based on normal standards, fifty Galleons is enough. If calculated by noble standards, it may take more than three hundred Galleons."
Allen had an idea in mind, "Then please give me a thousand Galleons!"
Edward looked at him in surprise, but didn't interrupt.
The goblin responded very politely, and quickly took out a thousand gold Galleons, put it in a small bag with an enlargement spell, and handed it to Alan.Allen was a little surprised how such a palm-sized small bag could hold so many Galleons, so he opened it and took a look. He was shocked by the mountain of gold inside, and exclaimed, "Magic!"
Fortunately, as far as the school is concerned, that is, the headmaster has considered this matter, and after discussing it, he took the king and the crown prince to the Leaky Cauldron Bar with apparitions, and then stood aside with a smile, saying hello to the boss.
