Chapter 56
Pu, I know what's going on in your little head. "
Gwen was indeed going to pack up all this information and throw it to Professor Snape.
"You're right," Gwen took off George's hand, pinching his face in retaliation, "and now he's going to punish me for another week—'for snooping in the Potions Professor's office'. I don't want to spend time with slugs, leeches, and cockroaches before Christmas, and I have to change my dress."
Gwen then decided to procrastinate happily, to wait for Mr. Weasley's reply.
"I have to tell Katie to find herself a dance partner that Wood can accept." Gwen said cheerfully to George on the way back.
"Why don't you call Colin?" George narrowed his eyes, as if planning something fun, "He has a good camera."

Gwen puts her troubles behind her and concentrates on reworking her dress robes. All the while bowing to Katie as she accuses Gwen of having "stolen his heart by a chirping red magpie."
Gwen admits that Katie's description of George is spot on.Then they called Ginny together and started preparing a week in advance.
"What's this?" Gwen asked looking at the tub full of milk.
Ginny said triumphantly, "Milk—the beauty formula of Muggles."
"Drink all of it?" Katie also dropped her jaw in fright.
The little girl in the third grade rolled her big eyes, looking very much like her mischievous brothers. "It's bad enough if it's a joke, Katie. It's for the bath."
Gwen took a deep breath of the mellow aroma of the milk, "It's hard for me to ensure that I don't take a few sips when I take a shower." Then she looked back at Ginny, "Are we going to soak for a week?"
The pretty girl with red hair nodded emphatically. "I may not have a warrior partner, but I must look good at the ball."
Gwen and Katie patted her on the shoulder apologetically, "If the two of us can become prefects, that luxurious bathroom will be more convenient."
Ginny smiled kindly: "Don't think too much, I never expected you to be chosen."
On Christmas morning, Gwen woke up with a start. She frantically handed the presents to the house-elves, who helped put them by the bedsides of their friends. She also gave Dobby a new tea towel with a Gryffindor lion on it, and of course, Winky had a clean white tea towel. It was all thanks to Hermione and her House-Elf Liberation Front - although none of them thought elves really needed it - but a simple gift was nothing.
This year Gwen received a present from Mrs. Weasley, a yellow sweater made of thick wool with a big, blue "G" on it.Ginny noticed it immediately, covering her mouth and giggling.Gwen looked a little annoyed: "I think your mother seems to have sent George's gift by mistake."
"Oh?" She finally took her hand from her mouth, "I think it's right, put it on, Gwen." Then she put the sweater on Gwen's head.
"Damn it, why are you so strong!" Gwen's hair was blown into a flower by static electricity, "It's amazing that the length of the sleeves is just right."
When Gwen appeared in the warm common room, she was blushing at the sight of the twins.
Fred and George are both wearing blue sweaters, one with a big, yellow "F" on it and the other with a big, yellow "G."
"Look at you." Fred pushed George next to Gwen. "What's the matter? We're triplets now?"
George also hooked up with Gwen mischievously, "Don't be nervous, Gwen. Mom has always been grateful that you took the risk to come to The Burrow after the World Cup..."
"...but I couldn't help at all."
"Friends ain't business," said Fred disapprovingly, "silly girl."
George pinched Gwen's shoulders and turned around, carefully admiring Mrs. Weasley's craftsmanship, "So I told my mother, knit her a sweater like ours."
"Obviously she added some different designs to the girls' style." Fred teased George with a smirk: "What is G? GwenGeorge"
That's when Harry and Ron came down from the dormitory.Ron grinned behind his ears when he saw them.
"Mom actually put letters on Gwen's sweater - I thought she did it because she couldn't tell the two of you apart."
Gwen was surrounded by happiness and shyness at this time, and didn't know what to do.She noticed that Harry's sweater was green and had a dragon on it, which was completely different from hers.So I greeted them briefly, and said to George, "I like it so much, George. But I didn't expect to get a gift from Mrs. Weasley - so I have to hurry to make her one up now." He ran to the girls' dormitory immediately.
Ron hadn't retracted his grin, "Mom must like her very much, after all, Gwen's ability to choose gifts is excellent."
"What did she give you this year?" George asked casually pretending not to care.
"The Encyclopedia of Toadstools." Ron said with satisfaction, "I'm going to find a frame for it—and frame it."
After returning to the dormitory, Gwen rummaged through her luggage for a long time, and finally found a suitable gift.It was a small silver tea strainer, a delicate bird with a bulging belly and a thin silver chain tied to its tail.Gwen produced another card, thanking Mrs Weasley and wishing her a happy holiday.
In the afternoon, they came to the field outside. The snow was white, and almost no one had stepped on it, except for a deep footprint made by the students of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons when they returned to the castle.Hermione, Gwen, and Ginny only wanted to watch Harry and the Weasley brothers play snowball fights, and they didn't want to participate. At five o'clock, the girls said they were going back upstairs to get ready for the ball.
"What, you need three hours?" Ron asked, looking at Hermione in disbelief. When he was so distracted, he was hit hard on the cheek by a big snowball thrown by George. "Who are you going with?" he called to Hermione's back, but Hermione just waved her hand and walked into the castle on the stone steps.
There will be no Christmas tea today because there is a feast at the dance. At seven o'clock, the sky darkened and it was not easy to aim, so the others gave up the snowball fight and returned to the common room together. The Fat Lady sat in a frame with her friend Violet downstairs, both very drunk, with several empty boxes of bonbons thrown at the bottom of her portrait.
"Brilliant Light, yes, that's right!" She listened to their password, giggling, and turned away to let them in.
The common room looked strange, and the people inside were no longer blue-black robes, but wore colorful robes.
After Katie got dressed, she planned to go to the boys' dormitory to pick up her little dance partner. "I have to save Colin," she said. "I don't trust his aesthetic at all-I have to help him mix the camera into the venue."
She had only been out for 2 minutes, and she came back rolling her eyes, "Miss Ollivander, you better hurry up. Your boyfriend is like a tall mushroom, growing up to the stairs of the girls' dormitory."
Gwen was struggling with her overly thick hair. She wanted to tie it into a neat ponytail, but she simply gave up after listening to Katie's words. She loosened it, fixed it with a magic hair clip, and hurried downstairs.
George, who was leaning on the marble banister, soon saw his partner.
"Ah!" He made a surprised voice, "I didn't expect it to be this color."
"To match you, sir." Gwen pulled up her skirt and saluted, then pointed at George's bow tie with her wand, "Don't move, I'm not that proficient in Transfiguration yet." Changed the color.
"Thank you, charming lady." George stretched out his arm and let Gwen hold him, and the two walked slowly towards the auditorium.
"I have to say, ginger red and you are a natural match." After a while, the gentleman spoke.
Gwen showed off her earlobe, "Look at this." It was the moonstone earrings George gave her.
"I have a good eye!" George smacked his lips proudly. He couldn't help but sneak a glance at Gwen.
The girl was wearing a long silk gown, the same color as her hair—maybe a bit high-key—but against Gwen's snow-white skin, she looked warm and generous, like a meadow full of thorns. Her arms are a little slender, but her shoulders are very round. The supple and fluffy long chestnut hair was loosely tied, and the two silver-white shimmering earrings shone with the shaking of the head.
The only regret was that the dress was a bit conservative, George thought, wrapping almost from neck to ankle.
Finally, at eight o'clock, the doors of the auditorium were opened to boys and girls. After everyone was seated, Professor McGonagall asked the warriors and their dance partners to line up two by two and follow her in.They filed in and walked towards the big round table where the referees sat at the front of the auditorium. The people in the auditorium applauded enthusiastically.
The walls of the auditorium were covered with gleaming silver frost, the ceiling was a starry night sky, and hundreds of garlands of mistletoe sprigs and ivy hung. The four academy tables were gone, replaced by a hundred small lantern-lit tables, with a dozen or so people seated at each table.
Harry's dance partner, Parvati, seemed happy. She smiled brightly at everyone, and kept Harry going. The boy was like a circus dog, led by her to perform tricks.
