Chapter 9 The Metropolis Truth

Bruce is actually going to Metropolis.

He has no money to make another body, and his last fake body is still under repair-he can wait for the body to be repaired before acting, which will reduce the risk of this operation and prevent him from actually doing it. Falling into the trap of the Injustice and being arrested...however, he really couldn't wait.

He eagerly wants to know whether the metropolis of that year was inexplicably destroyed by the clown as stated in the script, or... is there something else hidden?

Thirteen years later, the metropolis did not restore its original beauty because of the magic of time. It seemed to be deliberately forgotten, and it was just abandoned there. Would like to stay here.

Wearing a uniform with a lead layer and a signal shield, Bruce strolled in this wasteland. The big ball of the Daily Planet was silently cracking not far from him, displaying his remnant body wantonly.

Bruce stopped in front of the big ball, and spoke sourly to the system in his head that had been silent since he decided to go out. The voice was so obscure that even he himself could not imagine.

"Gather what you've seen, Zorro. Tell me... where those bombs went off."

"Okay, host."

Almost the second after his voice fell, Zorro answered his words. As if eager to prove something, he quickly marked the explosion site and presented it before Bruce's eyes.

"Look, host, everything is exactly the same, and the script will never go wrong. It's too dangerous here, let's go back quickly."

He speaks fast, more like he's trying to convince himself than Bruce.

Bruce, a little amused at his self-deception, ignored Zorro's urging and walked straight to a few locations.

Checking the post-disaster scene-this work was originally what he should have done 13 years ago. Batman will collect the information left on the battlefield after each war for integration, review and prevention.

However, 13 years ago today, he flinched, he didn't want to, he didn't want to, and he didn't dare to face such a tragedy that he knew but failed to prevent.

He can stop it, and he can try to stop it.However, he prepared to resist the script with a complete plan, but inexplicably fell ill the day before the Metropolis event. When he struggled to wake up, it had been a whole day since the incident.

"I didn't expect that 13 years later, I would have the opportunity to carry out this work that I have never been able to complete."

Bruce said a little self-deprecatingly.

Zoro didn't answer. He knew that Bruce had been brooding over this matter, and had always regarded these lives as his responsibility. The trajectory of the plot must never be changed, especially for such a big event.

Bruce was sad about what happened back then, so how could he not feel distressed?

Zorro couldn't imagine that if the plot was biased from the beginning, then what would his persistence for all these years be?Playing around?

For a while, silence spread between the two, they were all waiting for a truth that may have been confirmed long ago but no one wanted to admit.

Bruce quickly browsed and integrated the information he had already noticed, and the more he looked at it, the more frightened he became.

The perpetrator was indeed perfectly disguised, almost exactly the same as the clown's usual style-almost.If Bruce hadn't suspected it, he'd probably been tricked. However, once the seeds of doubt were planted, things became unusual.

There's no way this could have been done by a clown.

Bruce paused, lost in thought.

So perfect, every bomb fit right on the load-bearing walls of the most prominent buildings.

The Joker is a consummate demolition expert, that's right. He can find the most suitable place for each explosion and make sure his actions will cause the most damage. However, he would never do that.

Bruce has fought the Joker all his life, and he knows more about the Joker than he ever imagined. The Joker may load a lot of "just right" bombs, but he won't pack them perfectly. He would put some in some unimportant places-he likes this, watching other people burn because of the mess he made, he will have a sense of joy beyond ordinary people.

Moreover, the Metropolis bomb is too serious, and the clown likes to joke rigorously, maybe it is his quality, but it is definitely not his hobby and norm. Some so-called "little jokes" are his truly normal style.

As for the end...

"This is a dead city."

Bruce can already face everything he finds calmly.

"'Dead' before the 'Joker' came."

"Not a . . . trace of human activity or . . . death."

Bruce gritted his teeth and said the last words with difficulty.

"Do you think this is written in the script?"

Zorro didn't know how to answer, an obvious conclusion appeared in Zorro's mind.

"There is a problem with the script... Finally..."

His last two words are so soft that Bruce doesn't hear them at all.

Standing in this city that had "trapped" him for more than ten years, Bruce suddenly smiled.

At this time, what he thought of was not the result of the script getting out of control, but...

"Those people are still alive."

To live is to hope.

But they survived, and some of them are about to die...Zoro swallowed his words silently, he looked at Bruce helplessly but smiled with joy and gentleness, a decision was quietly formed in his heart.

"Host, it's too dangerous here, go back..."

He ended up just saying.

Bruce nodded. He had indeed put himself in danger for too long, and after returning, he still had a lot of things to do... Moreover, he had to find out who did this.

Hope...it's not what he thinks.

Bruce turned and walked in the direction he came from, where the aircraft that sent him was parked.

Suddenly, a familiar voice that terrified him sounded above his head.

"Surprised? It seems that you have seen it."

In the next second, Bruce felt a pain in the back of his neck, and then fell into darkness.
