Chapter 109 Extra Story Dumbledore's Observation Diary

23th, Jun, 1991 (Dudley's birthday)

There is a young and charming young man applying for the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor - Merlin knows, I am beginning to suspect that Voldemort's curse on the position is real - well-spoken, knowledgeable, and everything I can imagine for this position ( even more). He said he had just returned from East Asia, which seemed to be true.Let's hope that cycle doesn't play out for him, since Voldemort hasn't been in the job for more than a year.

PS He reminds me of young Tom.But obviously not, Tom was half a century older than him. There is no magic of eternal youth, that violates the laws of magic.

1st, Sep, 1991 (Harry's first day back at Hogwarts)

I saw Harry for the first time today at Hogwarts. The boy looks a little thin, but he is in good spirits. But judging from the sorting ceremony, he was clearly more interested in Tom (another Tom!) than he was in Arthur's youngest son.I only found out about this a few days ago, Mal said that he adopted a child from a Muggle orphanage. This is as reliable as the trip to East Asia, but for some reason I don't think it's true.Maybe I should look into split magic?Oh no, don't prejudice people just because of what they look like - Tom is more like Voldemort than Mare (well, it's really indistinguishable, it's better to call it another name).

17th, Sep, 1991 (Harry reveals Peter during Transfiguration class)

I couldn't believe my eyes when Minerva tied Peter up in front of me.According to Minerva, they are teaching the color-changing spell, and it is estimated that some students said the wrong spell (the manifestation spell and the color-changing spell are indeed a bit similar). The winner of the Order of Merlin First Class Medal was actually obtained by deception!Sirius and Peter, there is always a leaker, but now the dead are still alive, and the living are suffering in Azkaban!

Peter is still smooth talk, but this does not change the fact - he is the real murderer!I asked Severus to bring the Veritaserum, and while Peter struggled and smashed the bottle, the liquid was in his mouth before that.He said everything, including that he betrayed Lily and James' hiding place to Voldemort, including how to frame Sirius, including using Animagus to lurk in Arthur's house.

Severus was shaking with anger.I quickly sent a letter to the Ministry of Magic, since Sirius was still in Azkaban, and asked Minerva to bring Harry and Ron over.Harry was acting almost exactly like Severus - trying to put a jinx on Peter. It was the love Harry deserved to get Sirius out.Ron was horrified, which is normal, and I'm afraid Arthur has to pay something for it.

29th, Jun, 1992 (the trio fell into a maze guarded by three big dogs)

Harry's enthusiasm for the castle seemed to be limited to the first two weeks of school.I wouldn't be surprised that he and Hermione got along very well, but as for Tom... it's normal for boys to quarrel. After the maze was set up, Mal kindly provided a Norwegian Vipertooth that he had tamed, which impressed all the teachers. And Harry did really well, and it looked like he had learned a lot during his year at Hogwarts.I underestimated his willpower, and the magic mirror didn't have as much influence on him as I thought.I'm relieved, especially knowing Voldemort is back at Easter.

But then again, why are their faces all red?

31th, July, 1992 (Harry's birthday)

Harry was actually attacked by Death Eaters! It's only been three or four months since Severus told me Voldemort was back!Severus and Minerva, I, and I were on our way as soon as the pre-programmed alarm bell sounded. The garden at No. 4 Privet Drive was a mess, and the Muggles looked like they had suffered a lot. Fortunately, Harry was just scratched—he was calm beyond my expectations, and he looked completely unafraid.Fudge is slow every time, and I think this time I must make him fully aware that Voldemort is really back.Mar, who was on vacation in France, also arrived soon. Judging from the snow owl in his hand, Harry and Tom have a good personal relationship.

After dealing with Harry's underage use of magic and the subsequent healing work, I didn't have time to think about why this happened. Why did Lily's spell fail?Harry was obviously in the house, and he was obviously underage. And I have no idea when it failed!Even with the Alarm Charm only being added there after Voldemort's return, Harry could have had a long period of direct exposure to anyone looking to do him no favors. If Harry hadn't held out till we got here...

I felt a sudden pang of dread, the same feeling I get when I wake up from a nightmare just before Ariana falls, but the latter is irretrievable.

1st, Aug, 1992 (Second Death Eater Gathering)

Severus said that Voldemort was so enraged by Harry's attack that he punished Crabbe and Goyle severely. As far as I know, it was the biggest mood swing since his return.According to Severus, Voldemort also found a very historic meeting place, probably somewhere in the Scottish Highlands. This is also very strange. Also, there was still no news of the very short man in black at the Easter Death Eater gathering. Was Severus no longer trusted by Voldemort?

Voldemort seems to have changed, at least he wasn't as calm as before - I don't know if this is a good sign or not.

30th, Oct, 1993 (Lucius Malfoy waited for Professor Roald in Hogsmeade with his son)

There's been a lot of Death Eater activity, but apart from the Ministry of Magic appointments, none of it is what I expected.Malfoy actually went straight to Hogsmeade, and Severus said he was in a hurry. And I have to admit that I was mistaken, Mal is really very likely to be Voldemort. To put it bluntly, I don't think it's my poor judgment, it's that he's hiding too much—he never showed any real malice towards Harry! And before, he wanted to kill Harry, who was still in his infancy, just for the danger of destroying the prophecy.I don't understand what exactly he wants to do now.

Also, Harry seems to like him, both Mal and Tom.I haven't shared my guess with anyone other than Severus.

12th, Mar, 1994 (a Saturday in March during Harry's third year)

I wasn't surprised that Sirius ran to warn Harry the next moment he knew about it.But it looked like he was doing nothing, and Harry stayed with Tom all day long.I don't know why, but I think this result was to be expected - it was evident from Harry's behavior very early on.I remember, at Easter a few years ago, Harry seemed to be looking for something in the hallway that I didn't know.I couldn't see through him (such an improbable thing happened), tried to use Legilimency, but stopped halfway through - because of Harry's knee-jerk reaction.I think I'll always remember that line, after I suggested they go to dinner - "And you, sir?"

A person who can always remember the feelings of others will not do any heinous and bad things.Maybe it's absurd for me to think that Voldemort would be moved by such a Harry, which is not what a leader should think. But I do see a sliver of light, if these decades of calm and Death Eater dynamics aren't my dreaming.Of course, all of this is based on Harry's safety.

20th, Aug, 1994 (Quidditch World Cup Final, Wales VS Bulgaria)

The Quidditch World Cup, everything is obvious.Harry probably knows everything, and has for a long time, and we are the ones who don't.Something happened that I don't know about... presumably only Harry and Voldemort know?I trust Harry, but I have a hard time trusting Voldemort.

24th, Jun, 1995 (the final maze of the Triwizard Tournament)

I patrol the hedges of the maze.Fleur got caught by a branch on the periphery, and Viktor walked into a dead end.Harry was the only one walking through the maze, which made it easy for me to locate him.I'm sure Harry didn't take Care of Fantastic Creatures, but he's got it right with the slush - the thing only has a weak spot under the suction cup, the rest is hard shell. The anti-gravity spell didn't hurt either, he'd used it in a Quidditch match before (although judging by the look on his face at the time, it was probably Voldemort's work). As for the Freezing Charm... Oh!Is there any need to say that?

I thought Harry would make it all the way to the finish line, just like he did at the bottom of the Black Lake. But an accident happened... the simplest Boggart, he turned pale.If his worst fear was seeing Voldemort dead, that meant he knew for sure that something hadn't exploded.

I hope he made the right choice, or rather, I hope he doesn't regret it like I did.

11th, May, 1996 (Barty Crouch Jr. succeeded after ousting Fudge)

Fudge has been coming to me since April, and it still doesn't stop.Today's topic is how he was forced to step down, but I'm sorry to say that everyone but himself knew that his power was removed long before that.Mundungus is as bad as anyone, but I think we all need a reason to vent our doubts and anger.Unfortunately, this reason finally became impenetrable ten months later - Voldemort and Harry disappeared together.

No deaths have been reported so far.Members of the Order of the Phoenix don't cast the Death Curse directly, but it seems that the Death Eaters are the same?I deeply feel that Voldemort must have planned all this before he disappeared, if he deliberately didn't show up.

7th, Jul, 1996 (Double Seventh Agreement signed)

Seeing the scene where Harry and Voldemort confronted each other in the Forbidden Forest, I was a little surprised and a little bit expected.Harry had grown up, and he was fearless in the face of Voldemort.Of course I know that Voldemort will not put forward conditions that make them suffer. But that goal has been achieved, for the greater good.Voldemort's face didn't look very good, but his skills were as good as ever.He complied, and the titular name Voldemort was dead forever, and the Death Eaters disbanded.I have to say that I really envy Harry, his courage in the face of his cruel past, and his determination to never go astray in the face of temptation, because I have not been able to do it.He has done much better than me in similar situations.

24th, Dec, 1996 (Christmas Eve)

Soul Resurrection Stone!I thought I would never actually see it in my lifetime!I finally understood those doubts about Sirius, about the Potters, about Harry himself.Severus said it was a Christmas present from an unknown person, the same note that had warned him not to go back at Easter years ago.But I know that this is Voldemort's treasure, which he had snatched from his uncle when he was studying at Hogwarts.Of course, Voldemort couldn't have given it to an undercover subordinate, so there was only one person left with access to it—Harry. It was confirmed by Voldemort's subsequent reaction - I think he turned blue.

Severus got a little emotional, I figured he must have seen Lily. That being the case, a vacation is indeed needed.

Turns out Harry knew about it earlier than I thought.I think I might actually be able to retire...well, but I'm still desperate to get the full facts.

……

"Albus! Albus!" A voice from outside interrupted Dumbledore's train of thought. He inserted the quill, stood up from the table covered with long-legged silverware, and walked to the window to look out.Sunlight shone in obliquely, and many transparent glass bottles on the corner shelf were shining brightly, and there was a shallow stone basin engraved with strange symbols underneath.

Someone was standing on the prairie outside the house waving to him.The years have worn away the appearance of the year, and the blond hair has turned white, but the pupils are still bright and warm blue.He saw Dumbledore's appearance, and his voice became more cheerful: "Look, I bought some sheep--really sheep!" he said emphatically.

"Are you really going to raise sheep, Gellert?" Dumbledore asked amusedly. He did see some snow-white lambs behind Grindelwald, but he had never seen Grindelwald interested in animals.

"Yeah!" Grindelwald nodded in a serious manner, not feeling that the common breed of Muggle sheep had lost his face. "Aberforth wants me to exchange the most precious things... But I have nothing to lose except you. It's not like Voldemort, who just shows off his soul-returning stone when he has nothing to do." He dismissed Curling his lips, he became happy again: "But I think, Aberforth must think that it's not worthwhile to exchange his good mead for you, right? My goat's milk is better, isn't it?" When he said this, he There was a childish look on his face, just like when they first met all those years ago.

Dumbledore was taken aback, then smiled. "No magic is allowed in milking goats," he said solemnly.

"It seems that I was really wrong... Albus, did you come here on purpose to squeeze me?" Grindelwald instantly made a bitter face.

"Haven't you been here all these years?" Dumbledore replied, and the man disappeared from the window.

Grindelwald stared at the door on one side, and when he saw the latter come out with his sleeves rolled up, the smile on his face suddenly brightened.Although Dumbledore said so, in fact, they did it together. So, what should we raise next time?

Meanwhile, Hogsmeade, Hog's Head.

Aberforth Dumbledore, the boss, stared at a freshly delivered bag of soggy conch with cramped eyes.Last time it was a white thing like a snail sucker, and last time it was a big bucket of slimy grub...Every time it was something weird. Is there really no problem with the wine list developed by Grindelwald? If that's the case, his already dismal business should have hit rock bottom, right? How could this be the taste a Dark Lord should have? No, since he can get together with his brother, he can't expect anything from the taste of the two of them!

The author has something to say: Explanation on Dumbledore's Veritaserum and Instigmatism (some relatives think that the principal will not use it, so I will explain my thoughts in detail here): 1. Dumbledore did use it in the original book Veritaserum, see the fourth original book "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", Chapter 35, Veritaserum. The original quote is as follows: ---

Bending down, Dumbledore drew a curved bottle and a bunch of keys from the stunned Moody. Then he turned to Professor McGonagall and Snape.

"Severus, please go get your most powerful veritaserum, and go to the kitchen and find a house-elf named Winky. Minerva, please go to Hagrid's house, his pumpkin There's a big black dog in the field. You take that dog to my office, tell him I'll be there in a minute, and then you come back here."

---

We can see that the Headmaster himself ordered Snape to get the Veritaserum after knocking out Barty Crouch Jr. pretending to be Moody. There were him, Harry, Snape, McGonagall, and the fainted Barty Jr. There were no Ministry of Magic personnel present. So I think, my design is reasonable - when Dumbledore found out that Moody was not real, he used Veritaserum; why didn't he use it when he found out that Peter came back from the dead? You know, Peter's deception is bigger and longer than Barty Jr.!

2. About Remembrance. This is not clearly stated in the original book, I just wrote out my doubts, which is indeed a personal opinion. The reason is that in the original book, when Harry and Dumbledore got along, he felt that he was seen through many times, or such a description from God's perspective. Here are the original quotes:--

Dumbledore gave Harry a questioning look.Facing the gaze of his bright blue eyes, Harry felt that he had been seen through. ---- "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", Chapter 9, the words on the wall Harry temporarily forgot the reason why he came here in the panic caused by Fox ***.But now, when Dumbledore sat down in the high-backed chair behind the table and fixed him with his light blue, penetrating eyes, he remembered everything. ---- "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", Chapter 12, Polyjuice Potion "Voldemort?" said Dumbledore, looking at Harry through the Pensieve. It was that kind of penetrating gaze again, Harry always felt that Dumbledore could see through him completely, which even Moody's magic eye could not do. "I can only give you some guesses, Harry."--"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", Chapter 30, Pensieve Harry sat there unconvinced, if he refused to change the subject, What if he insisted on arguing about Malfoy?Dumbledore shook his head, as if he had read Harry's mind. ----"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", Chapter No.17, Memories of Chaos--

I don't know if I have found them all, but I personally think the words of the Goblet of Fire are very powerful. We all know that Harry didn't learn Occlumency until the end of book seven. Also, Harry had felt the same way about Snape several times.

3. About the people who were already in Voldemort's inner circle when he was at school, I finally found a few names: "God, is it time?" Slughorn said, "It's time to go, boys, Or we'll be in trouble. Lestrange, hand in your paper tomorrow, or you'll be in detention. So will you, Avery." -Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Chapter No. 17, Memories of Chaos This is Slughorn's memory, when Voldemort was in sixth grade. So there must be Lestrange and Avery, although the grade is still uncertain. In the customization, I will change the role of Rozier in the fifth quarter to Avery, and the online version will not be changed.

Finally, I hope you don’t think I’m talking too much—I’ve been adoring HP novels for more than ten years, so I greedily hope that every character’s character can follow the original work, and the original work is broken to the extent that I have used it for more than ten years.
