[Twilight] Bright sunshine

Chapter 5 Transfer Students

When I finished reading the letter and lamented that guy C was unreliable, I realized that the surrounding area was surprisingly quiet.Mu Leng looked up and found that Mr. Ryan was holding a textbook in his hand and looking at me with an angry face.

I was a little embarrassed, and stood up with my hands on the table.

"Claire, it seems that you are very sure that you will not fail my class this semester. We were still discussing the historical impact of the sinking of the Titanic just now. Jessica has already answered the number of survivors of the sinking. Now please be correct. The answer was given, the names of the [-] survivors."

As soon as this question came out, all the eyes of the classroom gathered at me like spotlights. To be honest, I have been low-key and introverted for a long time, and I am not used to being watched by nearly twenty pairs of eyes.

Although I know that Mr. Ryan always likes to digress in his lectures, the answer to the question of the Titanic wreck in the history of world civilization class is still beyond my expectations.

The number of survivors is the first thing I think of is Rose Rose, but her Jack is already sleeping on the bottom of the sea. I think Mr. Ryan will be very dissatisfied with my answer.

His Mediterranean hairdo could burn with rage, and I try to smile kindly, forgiving my frequent facial paralysis that makes it sound like a crack in granite. Then I faced the eyes of the people in the classroom and said seriously: "get out of class is over, teacher."

The moment I spoke, the bell for the end of get out of class rang throughout Fox Middle School.

Mr. Ryan slapped the textbook on the desk with a "snap".

I hope that in the history of civilization tomorrow, Mr. Ryan has forgotten this problem.

The school cafeteria is one of my favorite places. I prefer the yellow round tables and chairs here and there to the boxy classrooms. My regular lunch is a frozen pizza, a green salad, an apple and soda. After so many years of coming here, my taste has long been worn out. After all, my cooking skills have always been bad. The Chinese food I cook by myself is less flavorful than the instant food in McDonald’s. Over time, eating American food has become a habit.

The restaurant today was noisier than usual, and all the topics revolved around the admission of new students, and there were five of them at once.I heard that I just moved from Alaska. My impression of Alaska is that it has many national parks, the temperature is lower than Washington, and the largest continent in the United States.

Everyone was whispering and I was sitting alone in the corner eating bread and salad and I was the only one at a table in the whole restaurant. It made me feel like a poor hamster, silently and alone in a dark corner eating lunch.

None of my classmates approached my empathy because I scared them so badly as a kid.

So I know all kinds of information about the school and think it's okay. When everyone revolves around a problem, I often don't realize it at all.

The table closest to me is Mike and Angela. Mike turned his head and said in Angela's ear: "I heard that their father is a famous doctor named Carlisle Cullen. They are all adopted. The youngest child is named Edward Cullen, the shortest girl with short black hair is his sister Alice Cullen, yes, Jasper and Rosalie are twins."

Angela exclaimed: "They are really beautiful."

The rest of the people at the same table couldn't help but cast their gazes to the other side of the restaurant, and I was biting a leaf of a vegetable and looked at it with nothing.

They were sitting near the window, the rain outside the window was blowing in with the wind, and the hazy background outside the window was like a deep canvas. Just sitting there, the Karen family was as perfect as an illusion.

I looked at them, a little dazed, the soft, rainy light covered them with a glowing film, turning into a vacuum that no one could walk into, as if they had just come from another place. Walking out of a clean and crystal clear world, with a shocking magic power on his body.

Something flashed in my mind, as if I had inadvertently opened a book whose paper was yellowed and pressed in the dust by time, on which this scene was gently drawn with hazy brushstrokes.

They sat at the same table, Edward in black, petite Alice, maybe twins, a blond boy and girl, and a big boy, with their backs to the rainy window, which was surrounded by the tall trees of Forks School , gloomy sky.

This scene just passed by in a flash, and I returned to reality, but I realized later that the Karen family...

These names...why are they so familiar, just like when they heard...Bella! ! !

My heart seemed to be hit hard by something, my eyes widened, and the vegetable leaves in my mouth fell back onto the dining table. His fingers slammed the fork against the porcelain plate because of the shock, and the creaking sound almost resounded in the dining room.

Angela was startled, she clutched her chest and turned to look at me, she was even more frightened when she saw me.

The Karen family also turned their heads, almost unanimously graceful movements. The skin that is as white as ice and snow is so delicate and beautiful that it should not appear on human beings, and their movements are graceful like nobles.

A word has already rushed into my brain heavily, and I looked at the Karen family.

vampire.

Edward...a vampire.

Don't be kidding hey.

The next second I knew that fate had played a big joke on me. The one who had already turned his head away, the one who looked the youngest, with curly brown hair, named Edward... almost immediately turned his head back.

He looked at me again, doubts flashed in the black eyeballs, and then he was silent for a while, and a terrible and violent emotion quickly surged. His expression was stiff and weird, I could almost see him moving his white teeth unconsciously, as if he wanted to eat people.

I was like prey to a dangerous creature, timidity took hold of me for a moment, and then I made a mistake.

A word naturally flashed through my brain...mind reading.

I thought I was going to be doomed, and Edward must have heard my thoughts, for a look of astonishment soon formed on his face, as if someone had whispered into his ear a secret he'd been trying so hard to keep.

He left the chair and stared at me with his eyes, so obvious that everyone's eyes returned to me again.

Alice called out suspiciously: "Edward?"
