Emperor Fire

Chapter 115 The Battle for the Throne

Dawn came very late the next morning.

Ciro woke up several times, and finally kept his eyes wide open until dawn.

There was the chirping of birds outside the window. They are so cheerful, so carefree.Ciro felt a little cynical. He tiptoed out of bed, took a cold shower and went downstairs.

Keane still stood guard at the stairs, his body standing upright, as if standing all night didn't make his body feel any fatigue.

Gal appears in the living room.He looked at Shi Luo calmly, as usual, without any darkness or concealment.

The birds were still chirping outside the window.

Shiro felt that his mood had changed slightly. At least the bird chirping is not as disturbing as it was when I first woke up. "You go to rest. There is Galen here." He said, looking at Galen meaningfully.

Gallon didn't say anything, as if everything was normal.

Ciro walked into the living room, turned around and found that Keen was still standing there, "Don't understand me?"

Keane said, "Your Highness didn't arrange my room."

Ciro ticked his fingers at the butler who came out of the kitchen, and then pointed to Kean on the stairs.

The butler said: "Yes, Your Highness. I will find a room that is spacious and bright enough for Mr. Keen."

Keane just walked down the stairs.

The butler thought for a while, and then said: "Your Highness. During your absence, Mr. Frank and Mr. Patrick came twice to look for His Highness Soso."

Ciro stopped in his tracks, "Did they say anything?"

The steward said: "No. But they look very anxious."

Ciro nodded, "Send someone to the headmaster's office to see if Aunt Olivia is back."

"Yes."

Olivia didn't go back.

In fact, she had been waiting a whole night in the conference room of the Great Hall of the Empire.

The attendant who was temporarily transferred from the Silobe Palace looked at Olivia's darkening complexion in fear, and carefully delivered the coffee.

"Is Your Majesty not free yet?" She asked coldly.

The attendant said: "Well, if you don't mind, I'll ask for instructions."

"No need." Olivia suddenly stood up from the chair. The morning light rubbed against her outline, leaving a long shadow on the table, "I'll go find her myself."

"Master Faculty!" The attendant was shocked.

But Olivia has already blown out like a gust of wind.

The door of the makeshift bedroom was pushed open.

Queen Samantha sat in a rocking chair in front of the window in her silk pajamas, her long hair draped over her shoulders, making her look lazy and elegant.

"Sorry to bother you." Olivia stood at the door with her arms crossed.

Queen Samantha said without raising her head: "Your patience is getting worse."

"Is now the time to test my patience?" Olivia walked in and closed the door.

Queen Samantha raised her head from the book, took the coffee next to her, took a sip, and said, "You waited all night?"

"You didn't sleep all night?"

The two spoke in unison.

Queen Samantha said: "No, I just got up."

Olivia suppressed the anger welling up in her chest, and said, "Give me a reason to avoid seeing you!"

"I want to be alone." Queen Samantha put the coffee cup on the coffee table, and her eyes fell on the book again.

"Ciro is back. Shouldn't this be more worthy of your concern than the council?" Olivia's eyes sparkled with sparks that could start a prairie fire. "Or, have you changed your original intention?"

"No, I never changed my mind. I'm just hesitant about how to achieve it." She closed the book and looked out the window.

There stood a pot of lilies trembling gently in the wind.

Olivia said: "I'm waiting for you to explain why you didn't see me."

"I said, I want to be alone."

"Because of Castaron II?"

"No." Queen Samantha said, "He has never bothered me."

Olivia said: "Mrs. Rachel?"

Queen Samantha said: "She is even more so."

"I can't think of anything else to bother you about other than them."

Queen Samantha said: "Yes. Ciro."

Olivia froze for a moment, "He's back, safe and sound."

"This is my trouble." Queen Samantha said, "If possible, I really hope to stay in that castle and spend the rest of my life quietly with the person I like."

Olivia frowned and said, "What do you mean? Don't you want him to inherit the throne and become a wise emperor of the empire? Why do you want him to spend the rest of his life quietly in the castle? No, why do you know he is in the castle? You already knew about Castaron II's conspiracy?!"

"You have too many questions, which one should I answer first?" Queen Samantha looked at her sideways, with a look of innocence in her eyes.

Olivia was unmoved, "Every one."

Queen Samantha stood up, put the book aside, and said softly: "Yes. Castaron II has my cronies by his side, and I know his every move like the back of our hands."

"Including his imprisoning Ciro?"

"Yes."

"That's why you suddenly asked me to come to the parliament to find Luther King that day?"

"Yes."

She admitted it so straightforwardly, but Olivia felt uneasy, "Why? Why did you do this? Could it be that you want to train Ciro?"

"Olivia," Queen Samantha seemed to want to appease her impatience, and softened her voice, "Do you still remember my ideal?"

"Remember. Support your own child to become the emperor of the empire and create a prosperous empire." Olivia replied without thinking.

Queen Samantha smiled and said, "Yes."

"But don't you think that you have made Ciro bear more than he can bear?" Olivia accused, "You shouldn't let him fight alone. It's too dangerous! Even if it is to cultivate the future of the empire The heir, shouldn't..."

"I didn't want him to be the future heir of the empire." Queen Samantha cut off her words lightly.

Olivia was dumbfounded.

Queen Samantha was standing five or six steps away from her. As long as she took a few steps closer, she could have a panoramic view of her.But all this is just the surface. She realized that she might never have really known the person in front of her.Although, they have known each other for more than 20 years.

"What did you say?" she asked incredulously.

Queen Samantha put her hand gently on her belly, with a gentle look on her face.

"You're not going to tell me..." Olivia looked at her in surprise.

Queen Samantha said: "After I came back, I once slept with King Castalon II." As long as I slept with the emperor, there will be a sexual record.

Olivia just felt her head explode! She stared blankly at the woman with a face she was familiar with, but still couldn't understand every word she just said. "Even so, you may not be pregnant." It wasn't long after she came back, even if she was pregnant, it was impossible to see it so quickly.

Queen Samantha said indifferently: "As long as I think about it, I will get pregnant."

Olivia suddenly seemed to understand something. She felt a stone on her chest, heavy, and almost out of breath, "Even so. With Xi Luo in existence, it is impossible for him to inherit the throne."

Queen Samantha lowered her eyes, "So, I hope Ciro can stay in the castle."

"You're crazy!" Olivia finally exploded, "You're trying to compete with your own son for the throne!"

"I suddenly understood a truth more than 20 years ago." Queen Samantha slowly turned her head, her eyes slowly becoming as cold and sharp as ice skates, "If you want to be truly free, you must stand on the highest place, Let everyone stand at your feet, unable to shake you, unable to control you, and unable to say no to you."

Olivia's face softened suddenly, "Are you still remembering what happened back then?"

Queen Samantha gently stroked the lilies on the window sill, her eyes gradually softened, but her tone remained cold, "Never forget."
