Palm Dragon

Chapter 1 Adrian

Adrian has been a little depressed recently.

He had been wandering in his orchard all day.

"What should I do?" He scratched the tip of his tail in annoyance.

"Should I go back to my hometown and have a look? No, those old guys will laugh until they shake their scales off."

He casually grabbed an apple from the tree and took a bite.

"My heart is troubled, and the apples have become less sweet."

Adrian was even more melancholy.

What kind of trouble is it that makes our protagonist so depressed?

Very simple.

Adrian can no longer breathe fire.

Or should I say, he couldn't breathe fire.

This is indeed a very depressing thing for a young and disease-free fire dragon.

At first, he thought it was something wrong with his throat.Because not long ago, the small town on the other side of the valley held a harvest festival.

You know, dragons always like humans and wine.

So our Adrian happily transformed into human form, and had a three-day revelry with the townspeople.

From then on things started to go wrong.

He couldn't even light the fireplace.

For a dragon, this is a strange thing.

You know, the sparks that he sneezed before could burn half of the largest bush in the valley.

Adrian left home to live on his own since he was a child, so now he doesn't have any elders around him who can give him advice.

"You can write a letter," suggested the little bird passing by his window. "Ask your friends or a pharmacist you know."

Adrian thought it was a good idea.

dear molly

I hope I didn't disturb your research, because I know you are always very busy.

I suddenly couldn't breathe fire half a month ago.

I don't want those old guys laughing their last fangs out, you know, being a dragon, not being able to breathe fire - always a shame.

I tried many things, including healing, drinking lots of water - I even went to Fairy Springs.

So I wanted to ask you if you have any solution that I didn't think of.

your faithful adrian

Not long after, Adrian received a letter from Fengjing.

Dear Adrian

You know, my friend, that I always welcome a letter from you.

Regarding the letter, I consulted a retired therapist a little bit.

He said that if you're not sick, you can't breathe fire, it's probably because you've eaten something you shouldn't be eating. My dear Ed, you are not a little dragon anymore, you should know that it is better not to pick up the things on the ground and eat them.

PS: Fairy Spring is a place where humans superstitiously drink the spring water to give birth to children. If I remember correctly, my friend is a male fire dragon.

worry about you molly

Ok.

Now Adrian has a new direction for problem-solving.

"Did I eat something wrong?"

He scratched the tip of his tail in annoyance.

Although he drank a lot of hazelnut wine in the town, Adrian was very sure that he did not have any allergic symptoms to hazelnut wine.

"It must not be about the wine."

But besides wine, I didn't seem to eat anything strange. He is not interested in human food.

The carnival is over, and I go home from Emerald Valley.

"correct!"

If it's a comic, there must be a small light bulb appearing on Adrian's head.

The Emerald Valley is beautiful, Adrian usually flies by in the shape of a dragon, and rarely appreciates it carefully. So at that time, I unconsciously slowed down the flight speed.

As he passed through the lowlands of the valley, he saw a strange flower.

It was not a small wild flower that you usually see, but a rose with plump petals, which bloomed high and low in a flower field, as white as the first snow in early winter.

"White Rose?"

Adrian leaned over curiously, and the rich fragrance of flowers made him sneezed hard twice.

It is different from ordinary floral fragrance.

Sweet, thick, like August laurel sugar.

Adrian, who likes sweets, has almost seen a pair of seductive little hands protruding from the fragrance of flowers.

then--

"evil."

Adrian's face scrunched up.

cheated.

Even though it smells so sweet, why is the flower so bitter?

Fire Dragon, who felt that he had been duped, was a little angry. Not only did he spit it out in a "bah bah", but he also grabbed a handful of flowers and stomped several times to vent his anger.

Memories are over.

"Could it be that unpalatable flower?"

Adrian was a little upset, the bitterness disappeared after going home and eating several honey pies.

dear molly

I thought back, and after Mardi Gras I ate a strange flower in a flower field in the valley that smelled delicious but was bitter as hell.

I'm not sure if it's related.

hello to your cat

your faithful

Adrian

As before, Molly's reply arrived quickly.

"Really?"

Adrian put down the letter he had finished reading in gloom.

Fill up the kettle, then go to his precious orchard, and carefully water each fruit tree. After weeding, he struggled for a while, although he was reluctant, he still picked a fruit basket full of apples.

Muttering complaints such as "such an unpalatable flower, why do you have to apologize?", flapping his wings, Adrian flew to the lowlands of the valley.

Dear Adrian

I thought about it, since you said it was eaten in the "flower field", then it should be someone's plantation there.Maybe there is some kind of magic in that flower, poison in the pollen, cursed... Of course, the most likely thing is that someone else didn't grow this flower for eating at all.

So, the best advice I can give is to bring a gift and go find the owner of the flower.Seriously apologize, maybe he can know the solution to your problem.

PS: Next time, don’t eat anything of unknown origin. If I remember correctly, this is the [-]th time to remind you.
