Chapter 9

Tong Youming packed his backpack and went back to school. When he was on the bus, he found that his mobile phone had enough power, so he put on his earphones and listened to nursery rhymes.Because it was not yet the rush hour, there were not many people in the carriage, and occasionally there was a cool breeze passing through the windows.

He looked at the streets and crowds that were dyed warm yellow by the sun, and replied a text message to Si Jun amidst the roar of the car: The internship period is over today, and I'm going back to school.

After typing the last punctuation mark, he put the mobile phone connected to the earphone cable back into his trouser pocket, his hands were sweaty.

Not long after I closed my eyes, the phone vibrated suddenly.

"Will it be hard to find you in the future:("

He stared at the last emoji with a complicated mood.

"No." He thought for a while, and added, "I won't not answer the phone."

Not long after, Si Jun sent a reply, and this time it sounded like he should. "Well, take a good rest."

After that, the phone vibrated again and he didn't have time to look at it. Outside the music came the sound of the bus stop announcement. Tong Youming grabbed the seat and got up and got off the bus.

After returning to school, he saw a group of people clustered downstairs in the dormitory, surrounded by some boys who were carrying luggage from upstairs to downstairs, gnashing their teeth because their foreheads were covered with sweat due to the heat.

Tong Youming took two steps and grabbed a classmate, "Why is this?"

"Oh, I'm so free," the boy put the four big bags on the ground, his nose and eyes wrinkled together, "The school asked to vacate the dormitory for those who take the postgraduate entrance examination before the holiday, and we moved directly to the new building in the East Campus. It's the end of the internship today, it's too early for you to come back, hurry up."

Tong Youming looked up at the bustling dormitory building, and then heaved a long sigh.

He didn't know that the trouble was yet to come.

At first, he was glad that he brought the bed back to his home in another urban area before the internship period, and the boys didn’t have many daily necessities, and they only had two suitcases in their hands, compared to those girls who are fastidious about life. It was so easy, he also helped two female classmates carry their luggage; and when he came to the new dormitory with the suitcase, there were still a bunch of people standing downstairs.

He stared at the brand-new off-white wall tiles for a long time but couldn't figure out why. A boy who chewed bubble gum and had short bangs showing his forehead stood next to him and said, "Senior, do you live on the fourth floor?"

Tong Youming looked at the white racer vest under the boy's thin hoodie. He also had a pair of black and red headphones hanging around his neck. The music with a strong rhythm in it didn't know whether it was reggae or PopRap. "They haven't finished the decoration from the third floor up, at least they have to wait for a week."

Tong Youming was dumbfounded.

"A week?" He wiped the sweat off his chin with the back of his hand, "We have to find a place to live?"

The boy nodded expressionlessly, "Sorry."

"thank you……"

The boy seemed to have waited for the person who was waiting here, greeted Tong Youming politely, and left.

Looking at several friends from the same department who were squatting on the ground and crying not far away, Tong Youming took off the backpack on his body, and it was only when the phone fell out that he remembered that there was still a text message that he hadn't read.

He changed to a loose stance, and just as he swiped open the screen of the phone, the owner of the text message received a phone call.He was so frightened that he almost threw the phone away, and put two fingers between his ears, "Hello, hello."

"it's me."

I don't know if it's because the voice on the phone is always slightly different from the real human voice. As soon as Si Jun opened his mouth, he was awakened by the mature and full mid-bass characteristic of men on the receiver. "Uh, Mr. Si. What's the matter?"

The emotion conveyed by Si Jun's voice was light and friendly, "Are you free to have dinner together tonight?"

Tong Youming sighed, "I'm afraid it won't work. Something happened here, and I have to find a place to live at night."

"Huh? What's wrong?"

"We moved the dormitory to graduate students in advance, but the new building hasn't been fully completed...it's like a rough room." He smiled wryly, "It is estimated that about a hundred people in our two classes will have to open rooms at night."

Si Jun also smiled, "Isn't your school short-hearted? Where are you now?"

"Looking at the bottom of the dormitory building. I'll take a look later and find a place to live in the commercial street behind..."

"Come on, I'll pick you up later."

Tong Youming paused for a moment.

"If you are from XX University, I have a house two streets away from you." There was the sound of a car starting from Si Jun's side, "It's only a week anyway, if you don't mind, you can live with me."

"Wait for me on the spot for 10 minutes, see you later."

Then the phone hung up.

At 05:30 in the evening, after the last get out of class bell rang, a scrawling broadcast came from the loudspeaker on the roof.

The returning pigeons whizzed by, and Tong Youming stood there staring at the phone in a daze.

—Where did you live?

Comrade Si Jun stepped on the gas pedal happily.

This hungry old man who is over half a century old and ushering in the second spring of his life, immersed in yearning for love like a boy in his teens, drove to the gate of his destination university in minutes, leaned in the driver's seat and called his sweetheart Telephone.

"I'm at the main gate of your school, Black Jaguar."

Wearing a suit honestly in this kind of weather is simply suffering. Si Jun rudely unbuttoned his shirt, tore off the 4000-odd tie and stuffed it into his pocket. A knock on the window came from outside after a while. sound.

A young and good-looking migrant worker, Tong Youming, was standing outside with a suitcase, a strand of dark brown hair curled up by the headwind, and there were two embarrassed little lying silkworms on his face when he smiled. "Hi."

Si Jun suddenly felt his heart melt like licking ice cream.

The two stuffed their luggage into the trunk. Tong Youming received a text message from the school. I buried my face in the opened wet towel, and let out a heavy sigh of relief.

"Mr. Si, is there anything you want to eat tonight?"

When the car started, Si Jun was still staring at the windshield intently, and smiled briefly, "Are you treating me?"

"Of course."

"Okay," the man happily turned the steering wheel, "Eat what you made."
