After watching S-37 completely disappear from sight, Boyce withdrew his gaze, packed up the materials he brought over, and went to the laboratory assigned to him by Cyril.

Boyce poured out the waste liquid that had failed again, and pressed his sore neck.

The door of the laboratory was not closed, and some hurried footsteps sounded in the corridor. Several experimenters passed by in the corridor. Boyce looked up, and they were heading in the direction of Cyril's office.

Matthew also came out when he heard the movement. He glanced in their direction and turned to see Boyce.

"It's from Area F."

There are currently five mermaids living in the research institute, and the area surrounding these five mermaids is divided into five areas from A to F, and each area is mainly responsible for one mermaid.

Boyce remembered that Area F was primarily responsible for S-19.

"It should be something happened on the 19th." Matthew explained to Boyce with some surprise.

This is the first time Boyce has seen a mermaid other than the S-37.

s-19 is a red male mermaid, it is completely different from s-37.

Probably because it has been trapped in the research institute for many years, its body is very weak, with a thin layer of flesh covering the skeleton, and about one-third of the scales are missing from the red fish tail, revealing pale skin. The remaining scales are also somewhat dull.

"It's dying." Matthew beside Boyce said suddenly.

Boyce subconsciously looked towards him, and Matthew's expression was very flat, his eyes fell on the barely moving mermaid inch by inch, as if he had already dissected it.

Considering the current physical condition of s-19, they reduced the concentration of anesthetic.

The treatment for s-19 went well. Cyril took off his gloves and heaved a sigh of relief watching the data on the instrument gradually approaching the normal value.

Boyce was packing up the equipment at the side. The mermaid has a strong self-healing ability. As long as it is well healed, it can always recover.

He recalled the data he saw, if he couldn't, he would have to wait at least a month, but the lab couldn't give it that long time.

"Is it possible next week?" The person in Area F frowned, "One week at most, otherwise the progress of the experiment will not catch up."

He looked down at the subject and said, "Put it back in the pool."

Several experimenters stepped forward according to their words, and the mermaid who was lying powerlessly on the experimental table suddenly broke away from the people around him and rushed towards Boyce.

Boyce subconsciously turned around, only to hear a "bang", and the red-tailed mermaid fell to the ground not far from him. The wound that was healed was opened again because of its movement. It completely lost its strength and fell to the ground. Two hands struggled to prop up his body.It raised its head and stared at Boyce with deep hatred in its eyes.

Until being taken away by other experimenters, it still stared at Boyce, ignoring the others around it.

Matthew took a picture of Boyce who seemed to be distracted: "What are you thinking?"

Boyce suppressed the doubts in his heart and shook his head: "How long has S-19 been in the institute?"

"It's been a long time." Matthew thought for a while, "Probably more than ten years."
