Of course, Ennis and Jack encountered many difficulties in life and work because of this, but they still insisted on their choices.

In 1977, Harvey Milk (Harvey Milk) was elected as a member of the San Francisco City Government Management Committee in 1977.Ennis and Jack traveled thousands of miles to San Francisco with gay people from all over the country, cheering for Harvey Milk, cheering for themselves, cheering for gay people.

In 1998, Jack's mother wrote to ask Jack not to go home and stay outside.

Soon, they saw on TV that a 21-year-old homosexual in Wyoming, college student Matthew Shepard (Matthew Shepard), was brutally beaten in the suburbs of Laramie, and finally died of his injuries.

Ennis and Jack held each other tightly that night.

Ennis and Jack finally decided to go back. They ran to Matthew's funeral. At the funeral, Ennis was beaten in the head by people from anti-gay organizations and Jack was punched and kicked a lot.
