[HP] Zizi Honey Candy

Chapter 2 Quidditch

The first school year passed quickly, and in a blink of an eye, I was already standing on the platform reluctantly saying goodbye to Qiu, and turned around to throw myself into the arms of my parents whom I hadn’t seen for a long time.

"Let me see if our Tilly has grown taller again?" Mom stroked my hair lovingly. "And she's even more beautiful."

Dad didn't say much, but happily followed us with his luggage.

When I got home, they were very happy to see my report card.

"I told you a long time ago that you are the best." Mom kissed my forehead, "Leave your grades aside and tell me about your school life."

I told her about the wonderful friend I had made and about the amazing experience riding a broom gave me.

"Riding a broom? I really haven't noticed that yet." The father on the side interjected, "When you were young, you only liked to sit in the yard and read with a book, and you didn't think about it. Now think about it, how could you not Like, your mother and I met because of Quidditch."

"I've never heard of it." I was a little surprised they never told me about it.

"Your father and I are both batsmen from our respective colleges. I gave your father a blow in the first match." As if recalling the past, my mother had a happy smile on her face. I still remember that your father was so slow that he couldn't even avoid a Bludger..."

"That's because I was distracted." Dad quickly retorted, "I didn't expect your mother to hit the ball directly in my face."

"But why are you distracted in the game?" I asked curiously.

Dad scratched his head in embarrassment, and glanced at Mom.

"Because... your mother looks so good-looking, especially when she hits the ball..."

Sorry, I was talking too much.

I didn't expect to see the expression of such a little boy from my father's face.

Will I meet a boy in the future, get acquainted, and finally fall in love?

Thinking of this, I seem to feel that my face is a little hot. In the first grade, I basically just followed Qiu, and occasionally exchanged a few words with girls from the same college, and the number of conversations with boys was almost zero.

Qiu encourages me to communicate more with others every time, and even takes away all my books to threaten me, but I always run away in the end.

"You can't always run away like this!" She put her hips on her hips and taught me a little angrily.

Thanks to Qiu's unremitting efforts, the situation improved a lot at the end of the term, at least now I can nod and say hello to my classmates with a calm expression.

"So, you've made a great friend." Mom seemed relieved when I said this. "You've really grown up, Tilly."

I looked at my mother with some doubts.

"When you were young, you didn't want to go out with us no matter what. You just liked to stay at home. Your father and I used to worry about whether you would have any problems in interpersonal communication in the future. Now it seems that there is nothing to worry about. she said, "maybe soon I can see you bring a cute little boyfriend home."

"mom!"

...

As much as I love my mom's homemade brownies, there will be a day when I say goodbye, and at this moment I'm saying goodbye to honey butter rolls.

And of course, my beautiful friend.

As soon as Qiu met, she gave me a big hug. Her hair seemed to be longer and she was taller. She shared with me what happened during the holiday with great interest.

"As soon as I said I wanted to play Quidditch, Dad bought a new broom, and we're in second year anyway, so we can bring our own. How about you, Tilly?"

"My dad also bought me a broom as a reward for my exam." I smiled slightly. This was the first time I had my own broom. When I saw it for the first time, I couldn't put it down. To this end, I also bought a lot of books on Quidditch and the essentials of broom maintenance.

After reading the book, I realized that there are seven people in each Quidditch team, each with a goalkeeper, three chasers, two batters and a seeker. When the Snitch is caught, the team that catches it scores 150 points and a Quidditch match is over.

Well, neither position is suitable for me.

Rather, I don't like being seen flying around on a broomstick in public, it sure makes my hands sweat and I can't even hold the broom properly.

Thinking this way, Qiu happened to talk about this matter: "This year we can run for the Seeker position, which is a good opportunity for you! You can meet more people."

"Actually, Qiu..." I hesitated, "I don't really want to participate in the selection. You know, I, I'm not very good at dealing with so many people. Fuck someone else, I, I might..."

"Tilly." Cho interrupted me with a serious face, "I know you didn't know how to get along with people before you came to school, but it's obviously different at the end of first grade, isn't it? You even You can chat with Marietta and the others now."

"That's different, Quidditch in front of so many people..." I retorted, "No, no, no, I might make a mistake, I'll definitely be the one who lags behind."

"Oh dear Tilly, I dare say you just haven't experienced it. You may just be afraid of making mistakes in front of people. After all, you are so perfect..." Qiu put his hands on my shoulders, "Well then, we just Let's try it out, and if it doesn't work, we'll give up, shall we?"

Qiu's sincere eyes made me unable to think of words to refuse.Maybe she's right, don't you want to fly all over the field on a broomstick, surrounded by the cheers of your classmates?I asked myself, but when I thought of the overcrowded auditorium, I still couldn't completely relax my thinking.

"Okay, I'll give it a try."

I finally let go.

...

Before the start of the selection, I still backed out, wanting to withdraw from this selection, but Qiu held me tightly.

"Hey, think of those people as your favorite strawberry shortcake and you'll be fine."

So when I was flying in the air, I kept chanting the word cake in my heart, which seemed to have some effect. I was not as nervous as I imagined, but slowly began to enjoy the process of flying.

Just as I thought, Qiu's petite body coupled with his flying skills to avoid those Bludgers quickly won the captain's favor.

"I must first tell you that as a seeker, it is extremely easy to become the target of hostile colleges, so you must be aware of this before that, understand?" Captain David Jones said, " Your flexibility is very suitable for playing on the court, and you are welcome to join, Zhang."

Qiu held David's hand in surprise and joy. She was very excited to be selected, and I was also sincerely happy for her.

I noticed the bat in the box next to David. It was a batsman's bat. Over the holidays, my mother told me how she used that bat to knock off the opposing college players time and time again.

As if he noticed my gaze, David picked up the stick and walked in front of me: "Do you want to try it?"

"Huh?" I could only make one syllable from my throat. I had never had such a direct face-to-face conversation with a member of the opposite sex. I subconsciously hid behind Qiu.

"It's all right, Tilly." Cho pulled me over and gave me an encouraging look.

I hesitated to take the bat from David, and when the Bludger flew towards me, I swung the bat precisely and vigorously, and saw the Quaffle draw a beautiful parabola in the air, directly Flew into the goal.

Seeing this scene, David raised his eyebrows.

"It's very interesting." He said, "I never thought that there are girls who can be so talented as a batter. I can't imagine that you are soft and weak, but you have a lot of strength."

I couldn't tell whether his words were compliments or what, I blushed and hid behind Qiu's back.

"Hey, would you like to try a hitter? Kevin is graduating next year and we're going to need a hitter like you, or would you like to start off the bench now?" David asked me. Inviting, "I saw your selection just now, you fly very well, um... your name is Miranda, right?"

I?hitter?I blinked a few times in disbelief.

"Tilly! This is a good opportunity!" Qiu happily took my hand, "Promise, it will be fun!"

"But...but..."

"Tilly, it's okay, we can get used to it slowly, you can get used to it for a year, and we will officially play in the next year, and you can watch me practice from the sidelines." Qiu has been persuading me by the side, and my heart is also There's a bit of goofing around, and to be honest, it feels really good to hold the bat and hit the ball.

Besides, it’s enough to think of those people as cakes. There is no need to talk too much, and you don’t need to play games right away. There is still a year, I can get used to it.

"Okay." I finally nodded, and David smiled when he heard me say that.

"Welcome to join us, Miranda."

But because I'm not an official team member, I only need to participate in fixed training twice a week, and Qiu will follow them and be called to train from time to time.

Well, I'm a little lonely, but it's okay, now I can basically figure out the way to the castle. When Qiu is practicing, I just need to wait for her to finish and go back with her every day.

It's a small change, but it's a big step forward for me.

My parents were very happy when they heard that I became a backup hitter. My father kept writing in the letter that I was worthy of being their daughter. I inherited the talent of both of them. Me, I'll be a good hitter.

"Be a little more confident in yourself, Tilly," Cho told me.

Maybe what Qiu said is right, I really should have more confidence in myself.
