[HP] Spring Mountain is Sleeping
Chapter 41 The Secret Garden
If Lucius set up a secret garden in the cellar of Malfoy Manor, then the cave in the Alps is now Tom's secret garden.
Tom Riddle was sore and out of breath. He shuffled back from the path on the stone wall to the entrance of the cave, and sat down next to Riverdale. He looked at the starry sky at the entrance of the cave, and the deserted lily field below, and looked inside to make sure there was no one else in the cave.
But he didn't intend to get himself something to eat, and then he pulled the robe out of his arms and threw it on the ground.
This foolish trip to England, apart from proving that his magic power has not stabilized, the only gain is this robe.Besides, he didn't even have a wand of his own right now. He'd also wasted a lot of Polyjuice Potion on the trip, as well as the little money he had on hand.
The potion ingredients and money were the result of his extensive search of the surrounding forests and caves. Before him, there must have been other wizards in these forests and caves who had done the same thing as him—whether it was useful or not, hiding things away from people.Tom found coins and other items from different periods at two locations, including a chest full of old books and mutilated maps.It showed that at least two wizards had hidden things in these places, and at least one of them was a lover of knowledge like him, but no one thought to leave a wand in the cave.
The coins and objects were quite old, and Tom studied the map carefully. It seems that this mountain area has not been a large-scale wizard settlement since then. The map marked the nearest wizard town at that time, but it would take a few days to walk there. As a result, Tom had to reluctantly make the trip to verify that there were still people living there. After that, he managed to melt those ancient coins into metal blocks and successfully exchanged them back for modern currency in the town. Then, in his head, he squandered precious money in England... not all of it, but it was pointless to do so.
To single-handedly destroy the Ministry of Magic, why is there such absurd thoughts in his head?Since he once led an entire team of Death Eaters and couldn't handle a mere Hogwarts, why did he think he could handle the Ministry of Magic, even if he became Severus?
What's more, a single wizard, no matter how powerful the magic is, is not enough to defeat so many professors and students at Hogwarts.Maybe before the Polyjuice Potion wears off for the first time, he'll be hit with a Binding Curse randomly thrown by a second year in the melee, bundled up and sent to the Ministry of Magic for a Dementor's Kiss.
There was probably nothing wrong with Lucius—Tom, berating himself severely, collapsed exhausted in Rivedale, and began to receive the healing energy from the plants—because during the few days he ventured to stay in England , I once saw Narcissa and Draco passing by Diagon Alley, and the two were happily talking about something.
Yes, in the restored prosperity after the war, with smiles on everyone's faces, no one wants to look back at the bad times, or even try not to think about it.
Lucius Malfoy was safe, Severus was safe in the dungeons of the Malfoy Manor, the child he hadn't met was safe with Harry Potter, not safe if they were around him of.
Only Tom Riddle is never safe. The British Ministry of Magic was still searching for him, and he had become famous in Europe after the war, and he couldn't appear in public at will. It might be better for him to hide with Muggles.
but not now.Tom knew he had to stay with Rivedale until he fully recovered.Fortunately, the British seems to have lost interest in this cave, and he has enough time to heal himself here and think about the next step.
For example, he could buy another wand for a wizard. In the world, the Ollivander family is not the only one that produces magic wands. Wherever there are magic schools, there are people who sell magic wands.Every August, those shops were so full of young wizards that no one would notice him... But if he couldn't take down the Ministry by himself, did he need a sane Severus?Although he is not sure whether the other party will stand by his side next time?
But could the two of them handle the Ministry of Magic?Tom was lost in troubled thought about it.
