[DC] Countdown to Bat Survival

Chapter 10 Clark's Chapter Memoirs

Clark seldom dreams. For a Kryptonian who can be charged by solar energy, even sleep is redundant. When he was Superman Lord, he did this, processing files all night without sleep. But when he became that little reporter, spending an empty and lonely night with his eyes open looking at the night sky, he forced himself to fall asleep and go back to the habits of being a human being.

Pretending to be the same shy and clumsy little reporter, but the gentle smiling Gotham prince is no longer in the newspaper.

He had that dream again. In the dream, he was slammed into the Batcave by Wonder Woman from the main world. He struggled to get up and looked up, but only saw the corpse in the hands of the Lord Wonder Woman, which was the corpse of the Bat Lord. It was Batman's body.

At that moment, he seemed to have turned back into a weak and ordinary person, as cold as the blood in his body was frozen. He never wanted to kill him, not even in his rage, he never wanted to kill Batman, let alone Batman's death.

Yet Batman is dead, right in front of him.

He suddenly realized that Batman is actually just a mortal, one of those fragile mortals he once protected. It's just that the other party did a great job, and he hid it too well. He never shared any difficulties and sorrows with others, and only left others with a firm back that seemed never to collapse.

That's why he forgot, forgot the most important point, so that in the end he didn't even say goodbye to him, and faced the other party's death unexpectedly.

Until much later, he helps another world's Batman defeat the injustice Superman, sending him into the Phantom Zone.He suddenly realized that what he once had was the trust of the entire Batman. The future of Gotham, the future of the world, and the future of the entire human race were once in his hands. But he failed to do what he was supposed to do, and his arrogance clouded his eyes and made him defiant.

He didn't even dare to imagine what he would do if Batman chose to oppose him.But the fact is that Batman has been silently supporting him and pampering him until it was too late and they parted ways.

He doesn't even remember the last time they met alive, just the cold corpse, the rain-soaked grave, the last time he saw him.

Batman proves Superman wrong with his life. And Superman, the small-town boy named Clark, took a long time to fully understand how much he missed because of his arrogance.

He has seen Superman and Batman in many worlds, but he can never find the one that belongs to him.

The author has something to say:

Thinking about another extra episode, it's very flattering, ten chapters are good-looking.

Clark: I want to tell all parallel worlds how wonderful my family B is!

Little Bruce: But he's dead, and it's my family.
