Chapter8

[Zhong Yilv]

I have been waiting for him every time. I have been waiting for him for nine years since I was five years old. I think I am used to waiting for someone like this.

I was staring at the window with carved wooden bars in a daze again, when I heard very light footsteps coming from outside.

"Ai~" I sighed rather sadly, "Why do I feel like I'm a concubine in an empty boudoir!"

Hearing the sound of footsteps, I got up from the chair and walked towards the door.

"Looking forward to the stars and looking forward to the moon, I finally look forward to your return." I smiled at him.Turning around again to let him in.

"Where have you been, why has it been so long?" I poured a cup of buttered tea and handed it to him, "Have you been picking flowers?" I pursed my lips and laughed teasingly.

Seeing him just looking down at the rim of the cup in a daze, holding the hot tea in his hand to keep warm, he didn't drink it.

I know he won't answer.

With a narrowed smile, he asked him again: "What's my father's name?"

After waiting for a while, there was still no response.

I couldn't wait, so I asked him directly: "Who is that Lushui?"

This time he finally didn't dry me out. He put the teacup lightly on the table before turning his eyes to me, and said calmly, "It's your mother."

When I asked him again how he knew, he fell silent again. He only gave me a letter. There was still some rain on it.

He said it was left by my father, and that's what I want to know.
