Diverging through HP
Chapter 28
The sixth grade is the transition period between OWL and NEWT. Of course, this does not mean that you can relax, otherwise the school will not bother to provide any improvement classes.
Julie's grades in potions were not good. If it was still taught by Professor Snape, she would naturally miss the improvement class. But now that a new professor has been replaced, Julie secretly said that she would apply for it.
After breakfast on the second day of school, Professor Snape's schedule was distributed. As early as last night, he had collected the report cards of all the sixth grade students, so he didn't have to go around the students like Professor McGonagall today.
"It's a pity to see you again this year." Professor Snape twitched the corner of his mouth, his face full of disgust.
"I think we will meet again next year." Julie took the schedule and showed a innocent and harmless smile. "There will probably be no chance after that, we need to get along well."
All the other students at the table turned their heads, and Professor Snape moved his lips, probably cursing.
"What course did you choose?" Draco Malfoy looked at Professor Snape walking away, and immediately leaned over to ask.
"Muggle Studies, Ancient Runes, and Protection of Magical Animals." Julie turned to look at Draco Malfoy's schedule. "Are you going to cancel the arithmetic and divination class?"
"You didn't take the divination class either."
Pansy overturned his plate directly on the side, Draco Malfoy turned his head to look, and sat back down again.
"Okay, I'm going to class."
The courses in the advanced class were really heavy. On the first day, Julie had obtained a fifteen-inch paper, two translations and several thick books. Even Hermione Granger froze.
Next came the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. In just one night, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom was comparable to a horror movie scene. There were pictures of distorted human body parts on the four walls, and the curtains were drawn.
"So far, you must have changed five teachers for this course."
"Dark Arts," said Professor Snape condescendingly from the podium. "Variety, variety, variety, endless variety. To wrestle with them is like wrestling with a monster with many heads, and as soon as one head is cut off, a new one springs up, fiercer and more cunning than the first. You are dealing with something unpredictable and indestructible."
"Therefore, your defenses," said Snape, raising his voice slightly, "must also be as flexible and innovative as the Dark Arts you have to deal with. These pictures," he pointed at a few of them as he walked, "Vividly depicting the victims, such as the Cruciatus Curse," (he gestures to a witch who is clearly screaming in pain) "feeling the kiss of a dementor," (a warlock curled up in a corner, Lost eyes) "or be attacked by the Inferi," (a pool of blood on the ground)
"So, have people actually seen an Inferi?" Parvati asked.Patil asked in a thin voice, "Is he really using the Inferi?"
"The Dark Lord has used Inferi in the past," Snape said. "Well... can someone explain the Silent Charm to me?"
The class raised their hands for Hermione Granger, but Professor Snape named Julie...
"Uh...the other party doesn't know what spell you're going to cast, which gives you a split-second advantage..." Julie recalled. "But it takes a lot of willpower..."
"Basically." Professor Snape pouted, turned and walked back to the podium. "Now two people are in a team, one casts the curse and the other defends, all without making a sound."
Julie and Draco Malfoy looked at each other, and before they could speak, Pansy stepped in and invited Julie to be his partner.Draco Malfoy can't help it, partnering with Blaise Zabini.
"Give me mercy, Miss Parkinson." Julie drew her wand. "Are you coming or am I coming?"
Pansy didn't pay much attention to this. She had a crush on Draco Malfoy since she hadn't entered school, but after school, Draco Malfoy's eyes followed Julie closely, which made her grit her teeth.
Julie watched Pansy's wand tremble, and bent over to dodge, but nothing happened.
"To pieces!" Pansy yelled. "Are you going to dodge my attacks by Muggle ways, Mudblood."
"As long as it works, why bother, Miss Poodle." Julie reached out and picked up a chair and threw it at it, while bending down to avoid the spell. "Dizzy."
"By the way, today we are learning silent spells." Julie hid behind a Ravenclaw girl.
Seeing that the chair was about to hit Pansy, Blaise Zabini quickly pulled her to the side and avoided it. At the same time, Julie's spell exploded at Pansy's feet, and Julie hit the ground.
"Total petrification," Pansy screamed, pushing Blaise Zabini away and pointing her wand at Julie again.
"Front teeth match." Julie ran away again, but the poor Ravenclaw girl was hit.
"Tarantella." Another Slytherin pulled Blaise Zabini away, and the two hid behind the crowd.
"Broken to pieces." Julie finally ran to Professor Snape. Professor Snape's face was ashen, clutching his wand tightly, his knuckles turning white.
"Professor help." Julie put her arms around Professor Snape's neck and turned around to hide behind her. "Xingying... ah..." was hit by an elbow.
"Twenty points deducted from Slytherin, you come to my office this Saturday and Sunday to close up." Professor Snape pushed Julie away with fierce eyes.
So in the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class of the sixth grade, Professor Snape's first Defense Against the Dark Arts class in 17 years, one student Ravenclaw and Slytherin, two students Hufflepuff and Gryffindor were sent. Entering the medical room, Pansy and Julie overtook Harry Potter and became the negative example of being locked up on the second day of school.
"Professor Snape is so angry." Draco Malfoy, who could not avoid being completely petrified, got up from the ground, patted the dust on his clothes, and said looking at the back of the aggressive Professor Snape. "I've never seen him so angry."
"Trouble." Julie pointed at Draco Malfoy, snorted and turned away.
Pansy was wiping tears on the side, a few pure-blood girls who were close to her were comforting her, and the boys stood in a pile on the side.
Julie quickly caught up with Hermione Granger, and ran without stopping to hold her hand, followed by Ron Weasley and Harry Potter after a moment's delay.
Julie dragged the person to the corner of the stairs, bent her knees and squatted down.
"I want to see Professor Dumbledore." Julie didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point. "I can't go to him by myself now, I need help."
The trio looked at each other and turned to look at Julie at the same time.
"I will tell Principal Dumbledore everything, if you want to know, please contact him for me." Julie said emphatically to Hermione Granger. "Don't look for me recently, it's too dangerous."
Hermione Granger nodded, and Julie looked outside to see that no one hurried to push Ron Weasley away.
"She's all right," said Ron Weasley, as the class bell rang.
Hermione Granger screamed, pushed Harry Potter away and ran out.
The two afternoon periods were Potions class, which was always taught by Gryffindor and Slytherin.Only five Slytherins were able to go to the advanced class this time, and Julie joined later.
Draco Malfoy took the textbook and begged Professor Snape to copy a copy of "Advanced Potion Making" and lend it to Julie temporarily. To be honest, no one has ever done this before.
Watching Hermione Granger raise her hand to answer Professor Slughorn's question like a cannonball, Draco Malfoy poked Julie's elbow and said in a low voice, "Why don't you answer."
"I don't have the brains to remember so many answers." Julie replied in a low voice, and Theodore Knott laughed lowly. "Why don't you answer?"
"Professor, you haven't told us what that is?" Ernie MacMillan asked, pointing to a small black cauldron.
Draco Malfoy poked Julie, motioning for her to answer.
"That's Felicity Elixir." Julie turned to look at Draco Malfoy and said loudly.
Professor Slughorn was stunned, and the whole classroom turned to look at the Slytherin table.
"Uh, yes." Professor Slughorn nodded after a while, stuttering. "Ten points for Slytheringa."
Taking advantage of the professor's inattention, Theodore Nott put his chin on Julie's shoulder and whispered in her ear: "How do you know?"
"Blind." Julie moved her shoulders, and Draco Malfoy reached out and pushed the person away.
"Um, what's your name?" Professor Slughorn pointed at Julie. "Do you know what it does?"
"It can bring good luck to people in a short period of time." Julie stood up. "If you take it too much, you will get dizzy and cause... danger?" Julie didn't quite remember it at the end.
"My name is Julie Hiddleston, Professor."
"Miss Hiddleston is right." Professor Slughorn nodded. "I will be the prize for this class."
The whole classroom was in an uproar.
